Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 937: Emperor Rank

Zhang Fei and Alder had already entered the Blackthorn Imperial City, but the city was much more gloomy than Lust City in the Netherworld Realm, and the lighting was sparse.

Alder was really surprised because Zhang Fei could transform him into another demon, and his usual aura could not be sensed by anyone, making the city gate guards unaware of his arrival. ”Do all lust demons have abilities like yours?”

”I donʼt think so.” Zhang Fei answered as he watched the demons passing by in the dim streets of the city. ”Actually, I still have many other demon abilities, and many of them belong to other demons, such as my demon mimicry ability. Ordinary lust demons do not have the ability to mimic the abilities of other demons, and I am the only one who can do it.”

”How did you turn me into another demon?”

Zhang Fei turned to Alder. ”In fact, lust demons are genderless demons, and we can modify our bodies as we please. The use of our abilities is not limited to ourselves, and we can use it on others, just like I did to you.”

”Oh.” Alder nodded slightly. ”Are we going straight into the tower?”

”Yes.” Zhang Fei looked at the tower in the middle of the city. ”My demon rank has almost reached the emperor rank, so I donʼt want to waste time, and we will attack them straight away.”

”All right.”

”Unfortunately, the demon emperor and several other demons arenʼt there right now, so we canʼt take care of them all at once.”

Soon, they arrived in front of the tower, but several demon guards immediately stopped them. Since Zhang Fei had already made up his mind, he quickly attacked them and crippled their cultivation before using his demon-absorbing and devourer abilities on them, killing them by absorbing their demon essence.

Zhang Feiʼs actions caused a big commotion in the city, and hundreds of demon guards quickly surrounded him and Alder. He immediately activated the soul link, causing his aura to explode.

Wasting no time, Zhang Fei crippled and absorbed the demon essence of the demon guards. Their painful screams made the situation in the city even more chaotic as the demons living there fled in droves.

Alder took a deep breath watching Zhang Feiʼs abomination, especially since he didnʼt care whether the demon guards were innocent or not.

Three powerful auras suddenly shot towards them, and Alder immediately told Zhang Fei the identities of the three.

”Who the hell are you? Why did you suddenly attack us?” One of them possesses a physique akin to an ox, filled with muscles, and carries a large club.

The other demon with a panther-like body warned his friend. ʼDonʼt rush to attack him, Niu! This guy is much stronger than anyone, including our emperor.ʼ

On the other hand, the third demon with a bone body immediately contacted their friend and demon emperor, who was in another city, informing them about Zhang Fei.

After they received the message, the demon emperor and his other subordinates hurriedly returned to the Blackthorn Imperial City. Zhang Feiʼs actions shocked them, especially since no other demon had ever dared to attack them before, except for Xereth and his subordinates.

”Have you contacted your emperor and the others?” The bone demon looked at Zhang Fei with a frown. ”You did the right thing, so I donʼt have to wait for them too long.”

”Gahhh!” The three demons groaned in pain before falling to the ground, and their cultivation quickly disappeared.

Zhang Fei, who was already standing behind them, immediately touched them with his three tails. He wasted no time in absorbing their demon essence, causing them to scream in agony, frightening the remaining demons in the city and the tower.

In just a few minutes, only the skin and skeleton of the three demons remained, and Zhang Fei obtained sixty million demon essences from them

”Letʼs go in.” Zhang Fei immediately walked towards the tower.

Alder was completely speechless by Zhang Feiʼs actions. He looked at the remains of the three demons and those demon guards, sighed heavily, and followed him.

When they arrived inside the tower, Zhang Fei and Alder did not see any other demons on the floor because the deaths of the three previous demons frightened them, and they chose to hide from them.

Zhang Fei casually walked towards the stairs leading down to the first dungeon, and Alder followed behind him. In that area, they saw many demons imprisoned there, but they were only weak demons, so they didnʼt pay attention to them.

Without the slightest hesitation, Zhang Fei killed all the demon guards blocking their way, and he hurriedly led Alder down to the lowest floor.

.

Sometime later, they arrived at the bottom floor, and Alder hurriedly went to one of the prisons, where his wife was being held.

Zhang Fei followed behind Alder while checking the demon prisoners there, but his attention was more focused on one male demon whose hands and feet were nailed to the wall, and even his body was chained by large chains.

Zhang Fei could immediately guess that the male demon was the former demon emperor of the Blackthorn Abyss Realm, and his cultivation had been crippled by the current demon emperor.

*Bam*

Alder destroyed the prison door, and he rushed inside to check on the female demon with white hair, who was none other than his wife, Lang Taiyin. ”Wife! Wake up! Itʼs me, Alder.”

However, Lang Taiyin did not give any response to Alder, making the wolf king worried and panicked.

”Letʼs free her first.”

*Clang... Clang...*

Zhang Feiʼs attack immediately destroyed the chains binding Lang Taiyin, and he opened a portal to the training space. ”Bring her in, and Tasha will meet you there.”

”Thank you.” Alder immediately picked up his wife and took her to enter the portal.

After he closed the portal, Zhang Fei went to the previous demon emperorʼs prison and destroyed the door, waking him up. ”Who are you?”

”My identity is not relevant.”

”Hmm?” The previous demon emperor looked at the demon extermination sword in Zhang Feiʼs hand. ”Please kill me.”

”Are you sure?”

”Yeah.”

Zhang Fei immediately pressed his palm on the male demonʼs chest. ”Iʼm not a good person, and I canʼt give you an easy death.”

”Haha.” The previous demon emperor laughed weakly. ”Iʼve been locked up in this place for tens of thousands of years, and my successor has repeatedly tortured me, so pain is my good friend.”

”I see.” Zhang Fei nodded in understanding and began to absorb the previous demon emperorʼs demon essence, and his groans of pain echoed in the area.

In less than half an hour, the previous demon emperorʼs groan had stopped sounding, and his body had dried up completely.

[You gained 35,000,000 demon essences from Vagas.]

[Eighty-five million more demon essences, and you will reach the emperor rank, Master.]

Zhang Fei nodded slightly and left the room, causing the imprisoned demons to tremble in fear at the thought that he would do the same to them. However, he ignored them and hurried back up.

.

.

.

When he came out of the underground, Zhang Fei still had not seen the current demon emperor and his subordinates, and he went straight to the top floor of the tower.

There, Zhang Fei found many valuable demon resources, and he immediately robbed them all. After he cleaned up the place, he summoned Feng Yichen out to accompany him.

”You have changed.”

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei raised an eyebrow at Feng Yichen. ”What do you mean?”

Feng Yichen pointed to his chest. ”Your cursed demon heart is affecting you more and more, or else you wouldnʼt kill those demons so easily.”

Zhang Fei nodded slightly, as he had already realized it himself. He would usually never kill those who had no problems with him, but he killed those demon guards without the slightest hesitation. ”Escaping from Xereth made me realize many things, and I was still too weak to face people of his caliber, let alone those who were much stronger than him. I sometimes felt that my humanity was holding me back, but I also didnʼt dare throw it away. If I discarded my humanity, I would become pure evil because of the influence of my cursed demon heart, which would cause others to suffer.”

”Yeah.” Feng Yichen then looked out the window. ”Do you want me to take care of them? Theyʼre almost here.”

Zhang Fei nodded at her. ”Cripple them and bring them to me.”

”All right.” Feng Yichen disappeared instantly.

With her peak strength, it was too easy for Feng Yichen to capture the current demon emperor and his subordinates, and she crippled their cultivation according to Zhang Feiʼs orders.

Feng Yichen then brought them to the tower and threw them to the floor. ”You can do it now.”

The current demon emperor and his subordinates displayed ashen faces. They never thought a woman would cause their demise, but they knew Feng Yichen was stronger than all of them.

”Honestly, I donʼt have a problem with you guys, but you have a problem with Alder.” They were shocked to hear that name from Zhang Feiʼs mouth. ”Back then, I had no relationship with him, but his daughter had lived with me for several years. Since you locked up her mother for hundreds of years, I had to help her take revenge on you guys.”

Zhang Fei immediately moved next to them, coiled his tails around their bodies, and absorbed their demon essence directly.

”Arghh!”

”Gahh!”

Feng Yichen, who witnessed that, could only sigh in his heart. Even though she herself was considered evil, Zhang Fei was much more evil than her, and she felt that he would become even more evil in the future, which was because of his cursed demon heart. ʼIs he really going to be the peacemaker? Or will he become the destroyer of this universe?ʼ

[You gained 150,000,000 demon essences.]

[Congratulations! The hostʼs demon rank has been upgraded to the Emperor Rank.]

As soon as the second notification appeared, Zhang Feiʼs body was immediately enveloped by an unusual aura. During his transformation into the lust demon lord, his body was enveloped by a jet-black aura, but now, a bloody red aura quickly enveloped his body. He immediately released the corpses of the demons and brought Feng Yichen back into the pavilion, where he and his clones began the process of transforming into the transcendent lust demon.

Serpentera, who witnessed all of Zhang Feiʼs previous actions, was truly satisfied with that. ”I hope he can continue like that, and if necessary, he should act even more viciously than that. If he is weak, he will become prey for the powerful hunters in the Paradise Realm, and he will not be able to do anything to protect the people around him.”

.

.

.

Inside the pavilion, Zhang Fei and his five clones were already wrapped in a bloody red cocoon, and their aura slowly became more and more terrifying. Even though Liu Qingyu and the others knew that their husband would never harm them, his aura still frightened the women living in it.

Liu Hua immediately asked those who felt oppressed by the aura of Zhang Fei and his clones to leave the pavilion, such as Ming Yanyu, Wu Lianzhi, Wang Zhuxian, Ning Zhuanʼer, and several other women.

”Iʼll check on Tashaʼs mother first.” Liu Qingyu said this as she walked away, but Ru Xue, Hu Yue, and Hu Lili immediately followed her.

Zhang Yue stood pensively beside Zhang Feiʼs bloody red cocoon, thinking about the changes in her little brother once he transformed into a transcendent lust demon.

”What are you thinking, Yueʼer?” Qing Yi asked her first daughter.

Zhang Yue shook her head slightly. ”Iʼm just worried about Feiʼerʼs changes, Mom. He became too lustful after he evolved into a lust demon lord, and he will evolve into a transcendent lust demon soon, which makes me think that he will become even more lustful.”

”Youʼre not wrong about that.” Zhang Yue and the others turned to Orith and Ilsath, who immediately pressed their palms against the cocoon. ”The transcendent lust demon is the most lustful of all lust demons, but not all lust demons can evolve into one. Even Ilsath and I canʼt necessarily become one, but we can only find out after we reach the emperor rank.”

”How many transcendent lust demons were in the Netherworld Realm back then?” Ye Lian asked.

”One.” Ilsathʼs answer surprised all of them. ”As Orith said just now, not all lust demons can become transcendent. According to history, there is only one lust demon that has ever evolved into a transcendent one in the Netherworld Realm, and it happened hundreds of thousands of years ago. Since then, there have been no more lust demons that have successfully evolved into one, including our ancestors.”

”What about lust demons in other demon realms?”

The two succubi shook their heads at Zhong Yan. ”As you know, we were not demon cultivators in the past, and we have never left our territory, so we have no information about the lust demons from other territories. Some may have evolved into transcendent ones, but I doubt there are many.”

”As for Zhang Feiʼs change, we donʼt need to guess, and we just need to wait for the process to complete.” They agreed with Ilsath and waited for the outcome together.

In one of the rooms in the portable mansion, Liu Qingyu and the others checked on Lang Taiyinʼs condition to find out the reason behind his unconsciousness. Unfortunately, they couldnʼt find anything strange in his body, including the elf, Elmyra.

”What about my mother?” Tasha asked with her hands clasped together.

Elmyra turned and shook her head at Tasha. ”We couldnʼt find anything strange about your mother, so we donʼt have a solution to wake her up. Zhang Fei should have a way to wake her up, but she is in the process of evolving into a transcendent lust demon; thus, we can only wait for him to finish first.”

”Yes.” Tasha then asked her father. ”Why donʼt you bring the others back with you, Father?”

Alder released a heavy sigh and grabbed her shoulder. ”They killed the others a long time ago, and they left your mother alive just to lure us back. I know youʼre sad about their deaths, but theyʼve gotten their revenge now because Zhang Fei has killed those demons.”

”Yeah.” Tasha then walked to the side of the bed, lay down there, and hugged her mother. Tears quickly flowed from his golden eyes. ”I missed you so much, Mother. I was just a little girl when my father took me away from our home realm, but Iʼm over a thousand years old now.”

Elmyra, Liu Qingyu, and the other women immediately left the room, leaving Tasha to vent her longing for Lang Taiyin.

Alder immediately approached them, sat down beside his daughter, and stroked Tasha and Lang Taiyinʼs heads. ”I know you miss your mother, and the two of you will meet again after Zhang Fei wakes her up.”

”Yes, Father.”

In a distant area, Xereth, who was flying towards the middle realms, was forced to stop when he felt something suddenly envelop him. He frowned when he felt his power being rapidly absorbed; he immediately took out his black scythe and launched several attacks in several directions, but his attacks were instantly absorbed by it. ”What the hell is this? Where did this come from?”

Just as Xereth was thinking that, hundreds of small beasts appeared and surrounded him, and they immediately attacked him.

”Fuck!” Xereth launched an immediate attack on them, but they swiftly absorbed his Qi attacks, compelling him to resort to physical attacks. However, his strength continued to decline on its own, and those small beasts also absorbed it, leaving him quickly overwhelmed. ”Shit! I canʼt go on like this, or my strength will disappear completely.”

Xereth was shocked by the sudden appearance of a giant mouth, and he tried to run away from it, but it was faster and swallowed him instantly. The mouth disappeared immediately, as did the small beasts, and Tian Kui appeared there. ”Hehe! I only need to absorb all his power, and I will send him to another realm after he is completely weakened.”
