Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 909: Tian Huangjin Left

The man let out a soft sigh as he gently rubbed Tian Huangjinʼs head. ”Youʼve left our domain for so long to hunt that demon, so you donʼt know much of what has happened in the past few hundred years there, and the Paradise Realm is in great turmoil now.”

”Hmm?” Tian Huangjin frowned in response, but the man immediately told her many incidents that happened in the Paradise Realm. ”In my entire life, I never imagined that the Celestial Demon Race and the Asura Demon Race would unite, let alone that what united them was a marriage relationship. Moreover, they had been passive for hundreds of years, but they suddenly made a move by attacking the Dragon-Soaring Divine Domain.”

”Fortunately, they had Long Wuzhao and the others, and they repeatedly repelled them. In fact, the Celestial Demon God and the Asura Demon God were hiding in their respective realms, and both of them were seriously injured by the Dragon Emperorʼs attack.” Tian Huangjin was not surprised to hear this because the five-clawed golden dragon is the strongest being in the Paradise Realm, and his strength seems limitless. ”How was your adventure in the three mortal realms? Did you find many intriguing things besides your hunt for Xereth?”

”Father, I met our first ancestorʼs reincarnation.” The man froze after Tian Huangjin said that. ”I didnʼt lie to you, Father. I met her two and a half months ago, and her reincarnation was an 11-year-old little girl named Xu Lingʼer. She is with Zhang Fei now, and that little guy is also a unique creature because he has three identities in one body.”

”Three identities in one body?”

”Zhang Fei is a human, a heavenly fox, and a lust demon.”

”What?” The man exclaimed in shock before grabbing her shoulders. ”Are you sure that Zhang Fei is a human, a heavenly fox, and a lust demon?”

”Iʼve seen all three of his identities myself.”

”I see.” The man pulled back his hand and muttered. ”I never thought that the prophecy would really come true, and the peacemaker was already born in this universe. Based on the prophecy, our first ancestor will be his right-hand man, and the first demon ancestor will be his left-hand man.”

”Huh?” Tian Huangjin blinked her eyes repeatedly. ”What kind of prophecy do you mean by that, Father? Do you mean the reincarnation of the first demon ancestor?”

”The prophecy says that one day in the future, the ten-tailed fox will return to this universe once again. He is more than a heavenly fox; he is also a human and a demon. He is the one who will bring peace to humans, demons, and natural races.” The manʼs answer stunned Tian Huangjin. ”At that time, the reincarnations of the ancestors of all races will join him and fight by his side, but only two will stand beside him: one is our first ancestor, and the other one is the first demon ancestor.”

”Is Zhang Fei really the person destined to be the peacemaker? Why were only our first ancestor and the first demon ancestor chosen to stand by his side? Arenʼt the first ancestors of the beast and natural races stronger than them?” Tian Huangjin asked in confusion.

The man released a soft sigh. ”Daughter, you should know that the ten-tailed fox is not an ordinary beast, and he stands above all beasts, including the Dragon Emperor. According to legend, there are two primordial beasts born in this universe, one representing Yin and the other representing Yang. However, there is one beast that was born from Yin and Yang, and he is entirely different from those two beasts.”

”The ten-tailed fox was born from Yin and Yang.” The man nodded to Tian Huanjing. ”No wonder Zhang Fei has light and darkness elements, and he has three identities in one body.”

The man then continued. ”Like the two primordial beasts, our race represents Yang, and the demon race represents Yin. However, prophecy is nothing more than a mere prediction before the final result appears, so we will wait for the result far in the future.”

”Yeah.” Tian Huangjin then asked. ”Father, if the ten-tailed fox is that strong, then how did it die?”

”No one knows.” The man replied with a shake of his head. ”Everyone who once saw and met the ten-tailed fox no longer exists in this universe, and there is very little information about him. However, the Dragon Emperor and the Saint of the Natural Race may have additional information about him, but they may have deliberately not shared it with other people.”

”I see.”

”Daughter, itʼs time for you to return to our domain.”

”But—”

”Did you forget your promise?” Tian Huangjin lowered her head in response, especially since she was eager to kill Xereth. ”You promised that you would return if someone forced you to summon my avatar here, remember? If you cannot keep such a trivial promise, how can you expect to be like our first ancestor and lead our race in the future? Since you have done so today, you must return to our domain.”

Tian Huangjin let out a soft sigh. ”Alright, Iʼll return to our domain today, but I have to contact Zhang Fei first so that he can prepare other plans to deal with Xereth.”

”Even though Xereth is not dead yet, my previous attack was enough to cause him serious injuries, and he wonʼt be able to recover for months or even years.” Tian Huangjin contacted Zhang Fei directly, informed him about her return, and asked him to meet her in the Radiance Realm after he ascends to the Paradise Realm in the future. ”Are you done?”

When Tian Huangjin took out a small device, the man immediately entered her golden necklace again. She looked far away for a while before activating the device, and a golden pillar shot into the sky from the device.

Tian Huangjin let out a soft sigh and flew into the sky via the golden pillar, which immediately disappeared along with her disappearance.

.

*Bam*

Xereth fell to the ground as soon as he appeared in a dark realm, and the blood that flowed from his wounds soaked the ground beneath him.

”Damn it! My previous injury hasnʼt fully recovered yet, and that fucking bird injured me this badly!” Xereth took out several pills, swallowed them, and circulated his Qi. ”Shit! I wonʼt be able to recover for long! At this rate, I will die at the hands of my master, especially since I canʼt possibly find all those items in my current condition.”

Xereth immediately threw a device and created a barrier to protect himself, and he began cultivating to restore his condition. ”I hope I wonʼt spend too much time recovering from my injury.”

.

.

.

”What are you thinking about?” Luo Yu, who had just completed her transformation into a demon beast, asked Zhang Fei [1].

”Tian Huangjin has returned to her domain in the Paradise Realm.” Zhang Fei [1] then pulled Luo Yu into his arms and gave her a brief kiss. ”At first, I thought you would transform into another demon beast, but it turns out you didnʼt, and youʼre still a silver silkworm. Itʼs just that you transformed into a demon one, and you gained the darkness element.”

”Hehe.” Luo Yu giggled as she nestled in Zhang Fei [1]ʼs chest. ”Honestly, I was also afraid that I would change, but I feel relieved now. Who do you think will turn into a demon after me?”

Zhang Fei [1] looked at his other partners before answering her. ”I think Han Xuenai will change after you, but I donʼt know whether she will become another beast or remain the same as you, so we can only wait for now.”

”What if we dual cultivate now?”

Zhang Fei [1] released Luo Yu from his embrace. ”Iʼll go see Zhe Wuming and the others first, and weʼll dual cultivate after I get back.”

”All right, I will wait for you to come back.”

.

.

.

Zhang Fei [1] had already arrived at the Xianjin Realm, and he went to meet Zhe Wuming directly, informing him about the situation of Tian Huangjin and Xereth.

Zhe Wuming let out a heavy sigh after hearing all that. ”Itʼs a pity that Senior Huangjin has returned to the Paradise Realm, especially since she was able to help us corner Xereth. However, I think it doesnʼt matter since her father has already injured him that badly, and we still have plenty of time to think of a way to deal with him.”

”I think the same as you.” Zhang Fei [1] replied with a nod.

Zhe Wuming closely observed Zhang Fei [1] before asking. ”Is your cultivation almost breaking through to the 6-Moon Heaven Realm?”

”Yeah.” Zhang Fei [1] then explained. ”Since my real body and five clones are focused on seclusion, my cultivation can stabilize much faster than usual, and I will probably break through within the next month.”

Zhe Wuming nodded slightly in response. ”You are lucky that you have so many women helping you, and your cultivation speed makes me a little jealous.”

”Hahaha.” Zhang Fei [1] laughed at that. ”Why donʼt you try becoming a dual cultivator? Iʼm sure many women are interested in you, and one of them is Huli Xianniang.”

”Donʼt mention that horny fox!” Zhe Wuming shouted as his body shivered. ”I have never liked a woman like Huli Xianniang, and I am not a man who can share my feelings like you, so I have no interest in becoming a dual cultivator.”

[Master, why donʼt you try asking Zhe Wuming for help in retrieving the lightning elemental seed?] Mei suddenly asked.

ʼDang! I was too busy with other things to forget about that.ʼ Zhang Fei [1] then asked Zhe Wuming. ”Can you help me retrieve the lightning elemental seed?”

”Do you need to ask such a simple question?” Zhe Wuming immediately stood up from his seat. ”Where is the location of the lightning elemental seed?”

”The Nine Stars Realm.”

”Bring me there, and I will help you retrieve it, but I cannot help you obtain the lightning element.”

.

.

.

A while later, they had already arrived at the Natural Race Kingdom, but Zhang Fei [1] did not immediately bring Zhe Wuming to Cyanwood Mountain. Instead, he first went to the Fairy Forest to pick up the lightning fairy, Lei Ting.

Thereafter, Zhang Fei [1] took the two of them to Cyanwood Mountain, where Lei Ting asked him a question. ”Are you really going to take the lightning elemental seed now?”

”Yeah.” Zhang Fei [1] then pointed at Zhe Wuming. ”This senior is the leader of the cultivators in the upper realms, and he possesses the void element, so he should be able to help me retrieve the lightning elemental seed.”

Lei Ting was shocked to hear that, and she wanted to pay respects to Zhe Wuming, but he immediately stopped her. ”Thereʼs no need for such a formality with me. Since you are a lightning fairy, you should be able to help this kid obtain the lightning element, right?”

”Yes, Senior.” Lei Ting replied with a nod. ”My lightning elemental law has reached the half-perfection stage now, so I should be able to do it.”

”Thatʼs good.” Zhe Wuming then used his senses to detect the location of the lightning elemental seed, and he split the air as soon as he found it. However, just as he was about to take the lightning elemental seed, a lightning bolt struck him, but it did not significantly impact him.

A small beastʼs figure similar to a cat suddenly shot out from the crack in the air, and its body was made of lightning as if it were lightning itself.

”A lightning spirit?” Zhe Wuming muttered in surprise.

Lei Ting was also surprised by the appearance of the lightning spirit, especially since she had never detected its presence in Cyanwood Mountain.

Unlike them, Zhang Fei [1] was not the least bit surprised by the appearance of the lightning spirit, especially since he already knew that it had been observing him since he first broke through to the Earth Realm. He transformed into his half-fox form and approached it. ”Little spirit, I know you are protecting the lightning elemental seed, but I need it to strengthen myself, so I hope you are willing to give it to me.”

The lightning spirit did not directly answer Zhang Fei [1], but instead, it touched his forehead and made a contract with him, shocking him and the other two.

After the contract between them was completed, the lightning spirit immediately led Zhang Fei [1] and Lei Ting to the location of the elemental seed, leaving Zhe Wuming behind.

Zhe Wuming could only shake his head seeing them leave. ”From the start, that kid didnʼt need my help at all to get the seed, especially since the lightning spirit had chosen him as its master.”

.

.

.

The presence of the lightning spirit alongside Zhang Fei and Lei Ting prevented the lightning bolts in Cyanwood Mountain from striking them, which amazed the lightning fairy.

Before long, they arrived at the location of the lightning elemental seed, and the lightning spirit immediately took it before looking at Zhang Fei [1], who nodded in understanding and sat down on the ground.

After Lei Ting sat behind Zhang Fei [1] and pressed her palm against his back, the lightning spirit immediately sent the lightning elemental seed into his body.

===

[Ding]

[Lightning elemental seed was detected.]

[The process of absorbing the lightning elemental seed begins.]

[The chance for the host to get the lightning element is 20%.]

===

Thereafter, Lei Ting began channeling her lightning element into Zhang Fei [1]ʼs body.

===

[Ding]

[The chance for the host to get the lightning element is 80%.]

===

ʼOnly 80%.ʼ To Zhang Fei [1]ʼs surprise, the lightning spirit immediately entered his body.

[Ding]

[The chance for the host to get the lightning element is 80%.]

The latest notification made Zhang Fei [1] smile with joy, and he immediately focused himself on absorbing the lightning element. However, a lightning bolt suddenly struck him, causing him to grimace. ”Hiss.”

ʼMaster, I have to do this, so you have to endure it until you get the lightning element.ʼ

Zhang Fei [1] nodded slightly. ʼPlease help me get the lightning element.ʼ

ʼLeave it to me, Master.ʼ

After a little over a month of traveling, Feng Yao and her parents finally arrived at the Paradise Realm. Feng Jiu and Feng Tian looked at the area around them with astonishment, especially since it was filled with clouds and had a few large gates in several corners.

”Try absorbing this Celestial Qi using the method I taught you two before.” Feng Jiu and Feng Tian immediately did so, and both of them were completely shocked by the power and potency of the Celestial Qi. ”How do you guys feel?”

”Incredible!” Feng Jiu and Feng Tian shouted simultaneously. ”I absorbed it for a moment, but the effect was like cultivating for several months.”

”Hehe.” Feng Yao chuckled at that. ”Thatʼs why I previously said that you guys would be able to reach the 5-Moon Divine Ascension Realm in no time, especially since the Celestial Qi is indeed much stronger compared to the Divine Qi.”

”What is this place, Yaoʼer?”

”This place used to be the boundary between the upper realms and the Paradise Realm before the barrier separated the two. There are 99 domains in this realm, and they are separated into several areas connected through those gates.” Feng Yao then pointed to the north gate. ”If we go through that gate, we will arrive at an area connecting ten domains, one of which is our first destination, the Immortal Lotus Sanctuary.”

Feng Jiu and Feng Tian nodded in understanding, and Huo Ling immediately led the three of them to the north gate, but two gate guards stopped them. Feng Yao immediately took out a plaque and showed it to them, causing the two to break out in a cold sweat.

”Empress—”

”Shh.” Feng Yao stopped them, but her parents had already heard it. They looked at her suspiciously, but she only responded with a smile. ”You two will find out some things soon.”

The two guards immediately opened the gate. ”Take us to the Empyrean Domain, Huo Ling.”

”Yes, Master.”
