Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 911: Tian Kui

”You may not believe me now, but you will realize it once your physique awakens, and you will be powerful enough to fight by Zhang Feiʼs side.” Feng Yao then gave Luo Yunxiao a storage ring and told her about its contents, leaving her stunned. ”I know you love him very much, or else you wouldnʼt have continued to wait for him, so I gave it to you. His cultivation is indeed too low compared to yours, but his Yang Qi is much stronger than any manʼs. It will strengthen your physique, and you will probably be able to awaken your Heaven-Earth Reversal Physique faster.”

”You are right, I have always loved Zhang Fei, and I will always wait for him to ascend to this realm.” After saying this, Luo Yunxiao immediately took a bottle from the storage ring, and she drank his Yang Qi without the slightest hesitation. ”Iʼve never drunk a Yang Qi before, but his Yang Qi isnʼt as bad as I imagined, and itʼs really strong.”

”Hehe.” Feng Yao chuckled. ”I have drunk his Yang Qi myself, so I know for sure how powerful it is.”

After a brief surprise, Luo Yunxiao asked her. ”Do you like Zhang Fei too?”

”Not really.” Feng Yaoʼs answer confused Luo Yunxiao. ”That kid has tried to seduce me too many times, but I donʼt have that kind of feeling, so I just respond to his feelings by playing around. Moreover, my destiny has been set since I was first born in this universe, and I will disappear after my task is finished.”

”What do you mean by that?” Feng Yao just smiled and did not answer Luo Yunxiao. ”By the way, you said before that the primordial cultivator was powerful, so how could he die? How could his physique end up in my possession?”

”The primordial cultivator I mentioned before was Hu Tianlang, and he was the first ten-tailed fox.” Luo Yunxiaoʼs eyes widened after Feng Yao said that. ”I donʼt know how his Heaven-Earth Reversal Physique could end up in your possession, especially since Zhang Fei has been chosen as his heir. Perhaps fate deliberately arranged everything in such a way, including your meeting with him and your feelings for him. There are several women who will become extremely powerful by his side, but only one of them can reach your level.”

”Who is she?”

”Xu Lingʼer.” Luo Yunxiao was surprised to hear that, especially since she was still too small. ”She is the reincarnation of Tian Huangjin, the first ancestor of the winged race. Once she regains her past memories and strength, none of Zhang Feiʼs women can compare with her. According to prophecy, there are only two people who will stand by his side; one of them is the first ancestor of the winged race, and the other one is the first ancestor of the demon race. However, Hu Tianlangʼs physique now belongs to you, and you will be the third person to stand by his side, proving the prophecy wrong.”

Luo Yunxiao herself had heard of the prophecy, especially since it was no longer a secret in the Paradise Realm. However, she never imagined that her special physique had anything to do with it, especially since it was clear that the figure referred to in the prophecy was the heir of the ten-tailed fox. ”Is it possible that the whole prophecy will end up being wrong, Senior? Since the old foxʼs physique is already mine, Zhang Fei will not be able to perfect himself, right? If that happens, he will be weaker than his predecessor, and he will probably fail to become the peacemaker.”

”I donʼt know what fateʼs plan is for this universe, and we can only find out the answer in the future.” Feng Yao fell silent and thought for a while before continuing. ”Even though Zhang Fei didnʼt inherit Hu Tianlangʼs physique, there are still several other forbidden physiques in this universe, and one of them is no less terrifying than the Heaven-Earth Reversal Physique. If he can obtain it, he might be even stronger than his predecessor.”

”What is the name of that physique, Senior?” Feng Yao immediately told Luo Yunxiao about the physique, which shocked her. ”Do you think Zhang Fei can obtain that physique?”

Feng Yao shook her head. ”I canʼt say for sure, but I think the possibility of Zhang Fei being able to obtain that physique is very high, especially since he is the second living being to possess both Yin and Yang after Hu Tianlang.”

”I see.” Luo Yunxiao nodded in understanding. ”I still have many questions about Zhang Fei and all the women by his side, so I hope you are willing to stay for a few days.”

”All right, I will stay here for a week, and I will take my parents to the Flame Spirit Citadel after.”

”Phew.” Luo Yunxiao exhaled with a sense of relief. ”Letʼs join our parents, Senior.”

Meanwhile, Zhe Wuming was in the dungeon of the Bai Royal Palace and stood in front of the sealed door, mainly because he sensed something from that place. He touched the seal and raised his eyebrows. ”Who planted such a powerful seal here? What is the purpose of that person sealing this door?”

Curious about it, Zhe Wuming sliced the air and created a void hole that connected him to the inside of the door, but his expression changed after he saw the Ancient Devourer Demon Beast curled up inside.

”A demon beast?” Zhe Wuming decided to enter without breaking the seal.

The Ancient Devourer Demon Beast itself is a towering, shadowy behemoth shrouded in black mist, its body covered in spiky scales that reflect no light. It had countless maws across its limbs, and its main head resembled a grotesque fusion of dragon and wolf.

Sensing his arrival, the Ancient Devourer Demon Beast opened its eyes and stared at Zhe Wuming with its crimson void eyes. ”A human with the void element, huh? Iʼve been trapped here for countless years, and Iʼve never met anyone before. So, what are you doing at my resting place, human? Why did you barge in here?”

”Who are you? How could such a powerful beast like you be sealed in a place like this?” Zhe Wuming carefully asked so as not to provoke the anger of the Ancient Devourer Demon Beast, and he also did not dare to get too close to it, even though its body was chained by a chain artifact.

The Ancient Devourer Demon Beast narrowed his eyes at Zhe Wuming. ”My name is Tian Kui, and humans gave me the nickname the one who devours the skies.”

”The one who devours the skies.” Zhe Wuming muttered with a slight frown.

”As for how I ended up sealed in this place, it was because a powerful demon took me away from our realm.” Zhe Wuming looked at Tian Kui with a questioning look. ”An extremely powerful beast slaughtered all my kin to obtain their power, and I was the last of my kin. The demon saved me and locked me here to avoid its detection, and Iʼve lived here ever since. He asked me to wait for someone, but Iʼve waited for so long, and that person still hasnʼt appeared.”

”Who is the person you are waiting for?”

Tian Kui shook his head. ”The demon didnʼt know that personʼs identity, but he told me that the person was the only one who could defeat that beast.”

”What kind of beast are you referring to?”

”The Primordial Nihility Beast.” Zhe Wuming was shocked to learn that the beast was the epitome of all beasts, despite never having encountered such a high-level beast before. ”That beast sent the Taotie to capture my kin and several other beast races, and it devoured all of them just for its selfish ambition to strengthen itself.”

”All living beings are the same, whether humans or beasts; many of them are too selfish.” Zhe Wuming paused to gather his thoughts before speaking to Tian Kui. ”I donʼt know if my friend is the one you are waiting for or not, but he is no ordinary beast, and a monumental task awaits him in the future. If you like, I will bring him here to meet you, but he is in the process of obtaining the lightning element right now.”

”Whatʼs so special about your friend?”

”Heʼs not only a heavenly fox, but heʼs also a human and a demon.”

*Roar*

Tian Kui roared so loudly that it shook the area. ”Do you think I will believe that there is a living being who has three identities in one body?”

”Thereʼs no benefit for me to lie to you, okay?” Zhe Wuming replied with a shake of his head. ”My friend does have three identities, and most cultivators at my level already know about it. Since the demon asked you to wait for someone who can defeat the Primordial Genesis Beast, and my friend is a special existence, I think thereʼs no harm if you meet him first, right?”

”Hmm?” Tian Kui pondered that.

*Bam*

Tian Kui and Zhe Wuming immediately looked towards the door, especially since someone blasted it from the outside.

”Hahaha!” A man walked in as he laughed. ”At first, I thought you had died because of loneliness, but it turns out you are still alive, Tian Kui.”

”What are you doing here, Serpentera? Why did you leave your hiding place? Why did you destroy your late masterʼs seal?”

”Taotieʼs lackey has found me, so I left my hiding place and went to another realm.” Serpentera approached Tian Kui before frowning at Zhe Wuming. ”How did you break through my late masterʼs seal?”

”This human used the void element, so the seal couldnʼt prevent him from entering this place.” Tian Kui told him.

”I see.” Serpentera then ignored Zhe Wuming. ”By the way, I met a special kid, and I think he was the person my late master was talking about back then, so I came here to tell you about him.”

”Whatʼs so special about that kid?”

”That kid is a human, a heavenly fox, and a lust demon.” After hearing that, Tian Kui looked back and forth between Zhe Wuming and Serpentera. ”Why are you reacting like this? Iʼve seen his three forms, and Iʼve seen his fighting abilities. If that kid is really the person my late master spoke of, I think itʼs time for you to leave this place, and the two of us will follow him.”

Roar

Tian Kui roared once again. ”This human previously told me that his friend was a human, a heavenly fox, and a lust demon. However, I didnʼt believe him because it was absurd, yet you told me the same thing.”

”Hmm?” Serpentera then asked Zhe Wuming. ”Is the friend you mean Zhang Fei?”

”Yes.” Zhe Wuming nodded at him. ”Actually, Iʼve heard about you from Zhang Fei, and he told me that you injured Xereth, forcing him to hide.”

”Hahaha.” Serpentera laughed at that. ”That demon overestimated himself, and I only taught him a small lesson.”

”You didnʼt kill him because of Taotie, right?” Serpentera nodded at Zhe Wuming. ”We hunted down and fought Xereth after you injured him, but he summoned that beastʼs avatar, forcing us to flee. If Senior Huangjin hadnʼt warned us, we might have died at his hands.”

”You guys are really lucky!” Serpentera and Tian Kui spoke at the same time. ”If you guys were late to escape, you would have all died back then. Although Taotie did not descend in his true form, his avatar was sufficient to destroy the Three Mortal Realms. So, where is Zhang Fei now?”

Zhe Wuming immediately told them. ”This realm is his home realm, and he is in Cyanwood Mountain to obtain the lightning element, but I donʼt know when he will finish.”

”I see.” Serpentera nodded in understanding before speaking to Tian Kui. ”Hey, one of his wives is my heir, but sheʼs different from me.”

”What?” Tian Kui screamed in shock. ”Are you crazy? Why are you suddenly looking for a successor? If those bastards find out about your successor, they will hunt her down and devour her.”

”I didnʼt look for her or choose her as my heir, and Zhang Fei brought her to me.” Tian Kui responded to Serpentera with a frown. ”That little girl has a unique ability, and she almost succeeded in controlling me. Since her brother was confident in protecting her, I decided to give some parts of myself to her. I donʼt know how he did it, but he managed to turn her into a true demon beast, to be precise, an Abyssal Leviathan Dragon.”

”An Abyssal Leviathan Dragon?”

Serpentera nodded at him. ”Before she became a demon beast, she already had the water dragon bloodline in her body. Her dragon bloodline merged with my bloodline and turned her into a new beast race, so she was her only kin. Zhang Fei told me that he wanted to find another demon beast bloodline for his other wife, and I thought you could give him some parts of your body later, including your beast origin bloodline.”

”Youʼve gone completely mad now!” Tian Kui shouted at him.

Serpentera immediately replied. ”You are the last remaining member of your race in this universe, remember? If you want to keep your race in existence, then one of Zhang Feiʼs wives is your best choice, or your race will be completely extinct if you die. Besides, I have witnessed his fighting prowess with my own eyes, and he is extremely ruthless towards his enemies, so I am sure he can protect all of his wives well.”

”Hmm?” Tian Kui seriously pondered Serpenteraʼs words, especially about the survival of his race.

”You wonʼt regret it if you choose one of Zhang Feiʼs wives as your heir.” Tian Kui looked at Zhe Wuming directly. ”Iʼve only known him for less than four months, but I know quite a lot about him and his abilities. You donʼt need to doubt his abilities to protect them, and your race will continue to exist in this universe if you are willing to follow Serpenteraʼs ideas.”

”Iʼm not going to decide on that now, and I have to see him first.” Both men sighed softly at Tian Kuiʼs answer. ”Hey, Serpentera, remove this chain from me.”

Serpentera nodded and removed the chain immediately, causing Tian Kuiʼs deadly aura to spread out from the dungeon, alerting Bai Chongxi and the others.

In a few minutes, Bai Chongxi, Bai Shouyi, Wushuang, Linghu Xiaoting, and Linghu Shiwei arrived at the place. Even Bai Yaowei and Linghu Yincheng decided to leave their seclusion and head there, but Tian Kui had already transformed into his human form.

”Who—?”

”Stop it, Chongxi.” Linghu Yincheng stopped her son. ”Who are you three, seniors? Where is the beast sealed in this place?”

”I am the beast.” Linghu Yincheng and the others stared at Tian Kui in shock. ”You guys better not bother us, and we will stay here until Zhang Fei arrives, or I will eat you all alive.”

”Zhang Fei?”

Zhe Wuming immediately introduced himself. ”My name is the Nameless One, and Zhang Fei brought me here from the upper realms.”

”Are... are you really the Nameless One, Senior?” Bao Yaowei asked stammeringly.

”I am.” Zhe Wuming then explained it to them. ”Zhang Fei wanted to take the lightning elemental seed in Cyanwood Mountain, and he asked for my help with that. He is there now, and I came here because I sensed Tian Kuiʼs presence. The other one is Serpentera, and he is also his friend. Therefore, you donʼt need to panic because we wonʼt do anything, and we will wait for him to come to us.”

Linghu Yincheng turned to her family before speaking to the three of them. ”Zhang Fei is our savior by saving us from the hereticʼs clutches, and since the three of you are his friends, how about you all wait for him in our palace?”

”Hey! Woman! Iʼm famished now, so you have to prepare lots of food for me.” Linghu Yincheng nodded to Tian Kui, ordered several people to go to the Sky Jade Restaurant in the Bai Kingdom, and asked them to fetch Han Bingxing. ”Letʼs go now! Iʼm fed up with this place!”
