Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 946: Tian Shuixiangʼs Revelation

In the Xianjin Realm, Zhe Wuming and the others discussed their situation after the battle between Zhang Fei and the four mythical beast clans. He asked Tian Yishen and the doctors from their realm to treat the people from the four clans, especially since most of them were seriously injured by Hong Xinxinʼs technique.

”Have you guys ever seen such a technique before?” Nian Ying asked the others.

Tian Shuixiang nodded at her. ”The Azure Emperor Roc rules the sky, and its main power is heavenly lightning, which is similar to the lightning tribulation.”

”Why have I never heard of the Azure Emperor Roc?” Fu Yin asked in confusion.

”There is only one Azure Emperor Roc in the three mortal realms, and that beast is the mount of one of the founding fathers of the Sovereign Heaven Realm.” Tian Shuixiang and the others turned to Hong Quan directly. ”That realm is the oldest among the three mortal realms, and Tian Kongquan lived several million years ago in the distant past. When the beast was about to run out of its lifespan, he brought it to the Raging Thunder Realm. He kept the beastʼs corpse and preserved it in the Thunderfall Gorge to find its heir, and my granddaughter succeeded in becoming its successor because of Zhang Fei.”

”Does that mean the Azure Emperor Roc still exists in the Paradise Realm?” This time Zhu Danqing asked.

”There are thousands or even tens of thousands of Azure Emperor Rocs in the Paradise Realm.” Upon hearing that, they looked at Tian Shuixiang with suspicion, particularly after recalling Tian Kuiʼs earlier remarks about him.

Tian Shuixiang sighed softly and returned to his demon form, shocking almost all of them except for those close to Zhang Fei. Their shock didnʼt stop there, especially since Ye Zhiye immediately emerged from Tian Shuixiangʼs body in her demon form.

If they didnʼt know the alchemy god, they would have immediately attacked Tian Shuixiang and Ye Zhiye, but they knew that he was different from the other demons, and he had helped many people in the Void Heaven Realm. Therefore, they held themselves back and waited for his explanation.

Tian Shuixiang hugged Ye Zhiyeʼs waist and explained it to them. ”My true name is Shang Xiuluo, and I am the Asura Demon. My wife is Ye Zhiye, and she is the Eternal Night Demon. We are both demons from the Paradise Realm, and we fled to the three mortal realms to avoid being hunted by members of her demon race, which happened because of our relationship.”

”Your relationship?”

”Yes.” Tian Shuixiang nodded at them. ”My Asura Demon Race is the second strongest of the ten demon races, and her Eternal Demon Race is the seventh strongest. Our two races have always hated each other because of past events, but that incident was more painful for her race, and they hunted us down to kill me. Luckily, someone I knew from the Faceless Demon Race helped us escape here, and he helped us disguise our demon forms and auras. You should already know the rest of the story, especially after I lived as Tian Shuixiang.”

They nodded to Tian Shuixiang, especially since they had known him for tens of thousands of years. Zhu Hong suddenly spoke. ”Hey, Shuixiang, people always thought you were gay, but I didnʼt expect you to already have a wife, and you guys have such a terrible love story.”

”Haha.” Tian Shuixiang laughed bitterly in response. He and Ye Zhiye then returned to their human forms. ”Zhiye is everything to me, and I will never betray her for another woman.”

Ye Zhiye put on a proud smile as she hugged Tian Shuixiangʼs waist. ”I know you are all surprised by our identities, but we have no ill intentions at all, and we just want to live a peaceful life.”

With their long-standing relationship, they did not really mind Tian Shuixiang and Ye Zhiyeʼs true identities. They also knew that not all demons were evil, and they had to rely on a demon like Zhang Fei to deal with threats like Xereth.

”Speaking of the Sovereign Heaven Realm, have any of you ever been to that realm?” You Shen suddenly asked.

”Me.” All of them turned to Xia Tian, who immediately explained quite a lot about the Sovereign Heaven Realm, including the tests they had to pass to enter it. ”Do you remember when I disappeared back then? I spent ten years passing those tests, and then I dedicated the next hundred years to studying extensively in that realm, including the connection between the Paradise Realm and the three mortal realms. However, I didnʼt expect that Zhang Fei had more knowledge about all of that than me, and he got it all from the soul of a powerful cultivator from that realm.”

”The soul of a powerful cultivator from the Paradise Realm?”

”Yes.” Xia Tian nodded at them. ”His name is Ma Kuangyu, and Zhang Fei met him at the Star Tower. According to him, all the towers were once built as prisons, but the Paradise Realm was experiencing a talent crisis, so the leaders of that realm sent those towers to the three mortal realms, specifically to the middle realms, as a challenge to find new talents. No one has ever reached their peak, but that kid might change that.

”I agree with you, Old Xia.” Gong Ren said with a nod. ”Zhang Fei did get a lot of help from powerful cultivators, but he himself had excellent talent and mindset; otherwise, he would never have been able to reach his current level just by relying on their help. If he lacked both talent and mindset, the people in the Star Tower would not have helped him to that extent, nor would they have asked their friends in the Sun Tower to inform us of recent matters at his request.”

All of them agreed with Gong Ren because they had witnessed with their own eyes Zhang Feiʼs ability in dealing with Long Jiuxiao and the others, and he had also helped them a lot in some other ways.

”Do you all have plans to try going to the Sovereign Heaven Realm?”

”Yes.” Zhe Wuming immediately answered Guan Chenhong. ”After we solve the problem regarding Xereth, I will go to that realm directly.”

”Donʼt you want to go to the Star Tower to challenge it?” Wang Zhemin asked him.

”Naturally, I am interested in challenging the Star Tower, but I realize that my abilities are still not enough for me to venture into the Paradise Realm.” Zhe Wumingʼs reply made them sigh heavily. ”Rather than thinking about that realm, I am more interested in trying the test in the Sovereign Heaven Realm. I believe those tests can help me improve my abilities, and I will cultivate there for a few hundred years before I think about challenging the tower again.”

Since they had all challenged the tower before, they also realized that their abilities were still limited, and they would not be able to face the powerful cultivators in the Paradise Realm.

Tian Shuixiang immediately spoke to them. ”Honestly, your thoughts about the Paradise Realm are wrong, especially since that place is no different from the three mortal realms. Not all cultivators there are that strong, and there are still many cultivators below the Seven Divine Realms there. They do not cultivate using normal or divine Qi; instead, they use celestial Qi, which allows them to cultivate much faster than the cultivators in this realm. Not to mention, the flow of time there is much faster—about fifty times faster—so the difference in cultivation between the two realms is striking.”

”What? Fifty times faster?” All of them exclaimed in shock.

”Yeah.” Tian Shuixiang then explained to them about the situation in the Paradise Realm, especially about the ninety-nine domains. ”Among them, there are only eleven demon domains, and two of them are mine and my wifeʼs domain, the Slaughter Blood Domain and the Eternal Night Domain. The ten demon gods do not live in their respective realms, but they live in the Ten Hell Monarch Domain.”

”Ten demon gods?”

”Yes.” Tian Shuixiang nodded. ”We all know about the demon ranks in the three mortal realms, starting from the lesser to the emperor rank. However, the demon ranks do not stop at the emperor rank, and there are still several advanced ranks: Demon Monarch, Demon Overlord, Demon Venerable, Demon Saint, Half-Step Demon God, Demon God, and Primordial Demon.”

Tian Shuixiangʼs revelation once again shocked them, but then Yan Leibao asked him. ”Why do you only mention the ten demon gods? What about the Primordial Demon?”

”The only demon that ever held the title of the Primordial Demon was the first demon born in this universe, and no demon has ever managed to reach that stage after him.” All of them fell silent after Tian Shuixian said that. ”I donʼt know why, but I believe Zhang Fei has a chance to achieve it.”

”Zhang Fei?”

Tian Shuixiang nodded. ”Zhang Fei is the only living being with three identities, and you beasts know that he is the leading candidate to become the heir of the ten-tailed fox. Moreover, the writings of the old ten-tailed fox clearly indicate that he will be the peacemaker for all races, so I believe he will succeed in becoming a primordial demon. That way, he can control the demon races, and he can prevent them from creating chaos.”

”Youʼre right.” Zhu Danqing replied with a nod. ”All beasts and natural races are always looking forward to the return of the ten-tailed fox, and his writing is indeed about Zhang Fei.”

Zhe Wuming then spoke to them. ”I think weʼve talked enough, and you guys should continue your seclusion. If Xereth suddenly attacks us, we wonʼt be ready, and we will all perish at his hands.”

Their expressions turned gloomy because they were clearly not Xerethʼs opponents, but none of them refuted Zhe Wuming, and they immediately returned to their temporary place to continue their seclusion.

Zhe Wuming also left his private residence and went to the hospital, checking the conditions of the members of the four beast clans. However, he did not stay there for too long, especially since Tian Yishen and the other doctors had already taken excellent care of them. Thereafter, he continued his cultivation, but he felt conflicted, especially when recalling all the stories of Tian Shuixiang from before.
