The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 99: Chapter 99: Why Pretend to Be a Love Guru Now!

Su Yaogeng let out a chuckle, slightly exasperated: ”You won’t be left out!”

But her heart was filled with sweetness, having a daughter was everything.

The autumn hunt was a major event in Nanyao Country, with the hunting competition lasting three days. The person who hunted the most and the best game would win.

Early the next morning, the Emperor first led the ministers in conducting the autumn hunt ceremony. He then personally went hunting and brought down two deer, only then announcing the official start of the autumn hunt.

The actual participants in the competition were young nobles, which was also a kind of indirect test of their abilities. However, the restrictions on women were not so severe in Nanyao Country. Many noblewomen also learned horseback riding and archery, so both men and women could participate in the autumn hunt. It all depended on who could win the competition.

Today, Han Jing was dressed in a red riding outfit, her long hair tied high, making her look bright and confident, full of vigor. It was easy for people to overlook the birthmark on her face, thinking she wasn’t actually that unattractive. In fact, she had a kind of natural, delicate beauty!

Han Jing, on horseback, waved from afar to Su Yaogeng, who was seated in the stands.

The Emperor looked at Han Jing and said, smiling towards Su Yaogeng, ”Jing’er has become much more cheerful, quite reminiscent of your youthful splendor. Haha, talking about the autumn hunt reminds me, you used to take first place every year, making the young people in the Capital City tremble at the mention of it, giving them no chance at all!”

The Emperor’s words caused many around them to look at Su Yaogeng. Most who could sit by the Emperor were old acquaintances who had witnessed Su Yaogeng’s glory days. In those days, she was so full of youthful spirit, unparalleled in elegance, even the phrase ’women no less capable than men’ couldn’t describe her demeanor. In front of her, all the men of the world seemed to inadvertently lose their shine. Even now, it seemed time hadn’t left any marks on her face. A woman in her thirties or forties, yet she had a face that looked no more than twenty-something, still dazzlingly beautiful, just with a few more degrees of laziness and grace than in the past.

Han Si Que couldn’t help but be a bit dazed. This was probably why he hadn’t dared to appear near her like this all these years. He couldn’t control his heart or his eyes. She was like a brilliant pearl, impossible to ignore her beauty at any time!

Sitting next to him, Han Siqu’s heart was filled with irony. If he was so infatuated, what was he doing back then? Many people knew Su Yaogeng couldn’t have children, but Han Family’s legitimate heirs were not limited to just Han Si Que. It wouldn’t be that there were no legitimate sons or grandsons from other sons, so why did it have to be the rightful eldest? If he didn’t want a concubine’s child to come to the fore, just adopt a legitimate son and raise him, there were plenty of such cases in large families! He wanted to marry someone else himself, so why play the role of a love saint now!

Han Siqu was simply displeased. Han Si Que had become a hero of the Han Family, not only making great contributions but also immense sacrifices by giving up the most noble Princess of the court and the woman he loved deeply to ensure the birth of the rightful eldest. Ha, he took all the credit and glory! So what had he, the younger brother, ever done to offend any of them? Yes, he could take concubines at will, have as many children as he wanted, but can a concubine be the same as a wife?

”Cough, cough,” Han Siqu innocently choked on his drink, coughing loudly, attracting countless eyes in his direction!
