The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 57: Chapter 57: Su Yaogeng’s Past

Han Jing went back to sleep, and when she woke up, it was already afternoon.

Just after freshening up, Mu Jin came over to say that the Eldest Princess had instructed her to see her immediately once she woke up.

Han Jing had no choice but to go to Hanguang Courtyard first. As she entered the garden hall, she heard Su Yaogeng’s laughter.

Seeing her, Su Yaogeng beckoned her over: ”Did you sleep well? You child, let others do things for you. Your health is already not good, and now it’s late autumn, running outside in the middle of the night, what if you catch a cold? Aunt Xi, quickly tell them to bring in the soup warmed in the small kitchen.”

Aunt Xi replied with a smile and went out to give orders.

Han Jing sat down beside Su Yaogeng, who tapped her on the forehead and said, ”Quickly tell me, what are you up to? You don’t let me handle anything, and I’m getting anxious. Han Siqu came over at noon today, asked about the matter, and I sent him away.”

Since Su Yaogeng had already entrusted the people to Han Jing, she naturally didn’t inquire further about what they did for Han Jing. But just listening to the rumors outside, Su Yaogeng could pretty much guess that it was Han Jing’s handiwork. Using someone’s method against them, this tactic was indeed brilliant! It appears her Jing’er hasn’t truly remained stagnant over the years; she’s just been too concerned with her appearance daily. Now that she’s figured it out, she’s matured.

”What did Father say? I didn’t cause Mother any trouble, right?” Han Jing didn’t shy away from admitting to Su Yaogeng that she was the one behind it. However, she was curious about the relationship between Han Siqu and Su Yaogeng, thinking that should she understand it, she wouldn’t need to worry about that side in the future.

”You little girl, you really want to use your mind on Mother. You just want to know what’s between him and me, fine, fine, you’re grown up now, and Mother won’t hide it from you.” Su Yaogeng poked Han Jing’s forehead with her finger and gave her a playful look.

Han Jing blinked, looking innocent.

Su Yaogeng sighed, seemingly unwilling to bring up past events: ”Do what you want, don’t care about him. The person I liked back then was his brother Han Si Que, but I couldn’t marry Han Si Que, so I ended up marrying him. When we got married, we agreed not to interfere with each other. Whether he takes concubines or has children, it’s none of my business. You are my daughter, and although he carries the title of your father, you don’t need to worry too much. Just give him face where it’s due, and that’s enough. As for his concubines and children, a bunch of servants, whoever troubles you, deal with them as you wish.”

Han Jing hadn’t expected such a past, no wonder her mother never spoke of it in her memory.

She marveled at her mother’s doting degree; if she weren’t mature-minded now, she’d probably be running wild.

Han Jing said coyly: ”Mother is still the best, don’t ever leave me, okay?”

Su Yaogeng patted her on the shoulder: ”Silly child, you are going to get married. But don’t worry, Mother will definitely find you a good family, someone who treats you well and won’t bully you.”

Han Jing felt annoyed; her mother was truly obsessively determined about her marriage, so she quickly shifted the subject: ”Mother, I have a very important matter to ask you, you must answer me sincerely.”

”Oh?” Su Yaogeng said surprisedly: ”What is so important? Tell me about it.”
