The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 84: Chapter 84: Clever Maid Qiao Hua (Part 2)

Qiao Hua looked outside, ensuring no one was around, and whispered, ”Miss, do you think County Master Chenyu deserves Prince Ling?”

Han Yuxiao’s face was full of disdain, ”Of course not! Her? By what right?”

If Han Jing truly were the Eldest Princess’s biological child, she might be a bit more noble in lineage, but everyone in Hanjing City knows Han Jing was picked up by the Eldest Princess. How could a wild duck like her think she could become a phoenix on a branch?

Qiao Hua nodded and said in a low voice, ”Miss, you see, County Master Chenyu is not worthy of Prince Ling, but because she likes Prince Ling, the Emperor still granted the marriage, simply because the Eldest Princess indulges her! If she didn’t like Prince Ling anymore, others couldn’t make the Emperor rescind the decree, but couldn’t the Eldest Princess?”

Han Yuxiao was stunned.

Indeed, if there is anyone in Hanjing City who can easily overturn the Emperor’s decree, it’s only the Eldest Princess. After all, Han Yuxiao comes from a Military General Family, and the Han Family was once awarded for their contribution to the throne. She’d heard about how the Eldest Princess saved the Emperor’s life, so the Emperor has always been especially lenient towards the Eldest Princess. Han Yuxiao had heard some of these things before, but she always thought, even if Han Jing was a picked-up wild girl, no matter how much the Eldest Princess doted on her, it wouldn’t really be unchecked indulgence.

But thinking about it carefully, the Eldest Princess indeed spoils Han Jing too much.

So, Han Jing likes Brother Ling Wang, the Eldest Princess went to ask for the imperial marriage decree. But if Han Jing didn’t like Brother Ling Wang anymore, that decree might very well be rescinded. Once the Emperor rescinds the decree, with her status, marrying Brother Ling Wang as the main wife would be only natural.

Han Yuxiao excitedly grabbed Qiao Hua’s arm, ”Qiao Hua, do you think this could really be true? How can I be sure if Han Jing really doesn’t like Brother Ling Wang anymore?”

Qiao Hua shook her head, ”I don’t know either, of course, this matter depends on County Master Chenyu herself, but Miss, you can’t directly ask her!”

”Hmph! Why can’t I ask? She has yet to answer to me for poisoning Brother Ling Wang! Just because she doesn’t like Brother Ling Wang anymore, does that mean she can treat him that way? How can her heart be so malicious!” Han Yuxiao snorted.

Qiao Hua nodded in agreement, ”County Master Chenyu indeed went too far, but Miss, you mustn’t ask her now!”

”Why?”

Qiao Hua said, ”Miss, right now the relationship between County Master Chenyu and Prince Ling is the most tense. If this continues, this marriage is unlikely to happen. If you intervene now and provoke County Master Chenyu, she might change her mind and not want to break off the engagement with Prince Ling anymore, wouldn’t that be counterproductive?”

Han Yuxiao was stunned, her face showing doubt, but she also felt that Qiao Hua’s words made a lot of sense, she couldn’t help but ask, ”Then what should I do now?”

Qiao Hua blinked at her, ”You should just stay still and watch how things unfold. If in the end County Master Chenyu still wants to marry Prince Ling, or if she harms Prince Ling again, you can teach her a lesson then, it’s not too late! If they break off the engagement, you can marry Prince Ling then, it would be the most natural thing, and you wouldn’t have to make enemies with County Master Chenyu. Wouldn’t that be the best of both worlds? You also know, the Eldest Princess spoils County Master Chenyu so much, what if she blames the General Mansion...”
