The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 98: Chapter 98: I Don’t Think Either of Them Is Good Enough!

She, as the Eldest Princess, was deeply favored, and her Prince Consort was not allowed to have concubines or illegitimate children. Yet, she gave Han Siqu absolute freedom, allowing him to take concubines at will, seemingly glorious, but in the end, it hurt their feelings.

She was certainly aware of how the people of the Capital City gossiped about Han Siqu behind her back, but what she could give him was only so much. She also had her own unavoidable reasons, and the only mistake she made was perhaps altering the course of his life.

If it weren’t for this sense of guilt, just the fact that Han Siqu’s concubine dared bully her Jing’er, she would have immediately had Han Yan beaten to death before dealing with Han Siqu — neither would get away unscathed! Hmph!

Han Jing really didn’t expect that there were such past events between them.

Although she couldn’t quite understand why Su Yaogeng would marry Han Siqu after losing her love, she thought Su Yaogeng must have her reasons.

Su Yaogeng appeared proud and capricious, but Han Jing could see that she actually had a soft heart, otherwise she wouldn’t have been tolerant of Han Siqu. With her status and power, she could have done whatever she desired, but she only seemed arrogant and did not truly harm anyone!

”But, Jing’er, regardless of whether it’s Han Siqu or Han Si Que who will stay in the Capital City in the future, if any of them dares to hurt you, you must not care about me. Whatever exists between me and them is in the past; do what you need to do! Jing’er, in this world, you are the only one who is dearest to me,” Su Yaogeng advised.

Although Jing’er wasn’t her biological child, Su Yaogeng watched her grow up bit by bit, and she was the closest person to her in this world. She would not allow anyone to harm her.

Han Jing playfully blinked at Su Yaogeng: ”Mother deserves someone better, I truly don’t think highly of those two brothers!”

Neither of them has any sense of responsibility!

Ultimately, in Han Si Que’s eyes, Su Yaogeng wasn’t that important! If he truly loved her to the point of wanting to be together even in life and death, what would those obstacles between them mean? Even people of the same gender can share a lifetime together; what’s he being so pretentious about?

Han Jing truly doesn’t believe in Han Si Que’s pompous reasons!

As for Han Siqu, even though he was somewhat wronged, everything he enjoyed over the years was given by Su Yaogeng, wasn’t it? A person must give something in return for what they receive. If he wants a harmonious family life with beautiful wives and concubines, he must see if he is capable! She truly doesn’t believe that without Su Yaogeng, he could live in such comfort! Enjoying a life of luxury while blaming it isn’t exactly what he wanted — what is he complaining about?

Han Jing disdains those who clearly enjoy life, yet complain that it’s not what they wanted, claiming fate is too cruel! Pretentious!

Su Yaogeng reached out to pat Han Jing: ”You cheeky maid, daring to talk about your mother like that!”

Han Jing dodged with a laugh; there’s still plenty of time, everyone has a right to happiness, and perhaps, in the future, Su Yaogeng might meet the truly right person!

This world indeed has too many rules and restrictions, but Han Jing doesn’t care. Rules are only to restrain those who cannot change them. As long as one has enough power, they can establish new rules!

”When the hunting begins tomorrow, once I win first place, Mother must prepare the gift you promised me!” Han Jing raised her eyebrow, eyes full of bright laughter.
