The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 87: Chapter 87: On the Road to the Autumn Hunt (Part 2)

Along the way, it was quite peaceful. She stayed in Su Yaogeng’s carriage, listening to her talk about methods of inner strength cultivation, and time passed rather quickly.

By the time they arrived at the Liangshan Palace, it was noon. She was not feeling well and was very tired, so she skipped lunch and asked someone to tidy things up before going to sleep.

She slept until evening before waking up, and Aunt Qin had already had dinner prepared.

She was comfortably eating her lotus seed porridge and sighed about how comfortably Miss lived. Then she saw Mu Jin come in and hand her a paper ball.

She took it with curiosity, ”What’s this?”

Mu Jin shook her head, ”I don’t know who threw it in. Today everything was just settled, so people are still a bit disorganized, and we can’t find out who did it.”

The Liangshan Palace, though not large, had a separate courtyard because of the Eldest Princess’s special status, so she could live in her own small courtyard. Since the paper ball was thrown into her courtyard, it was evidently meant for her.

Therefore, Mu Jin did not open it. After confirming there was no problem with the paper ball, she handed it to her.

The entire Palace was guarded by the Imperial Guard brought by the Emperor. They had been assigning people all afternoon, and things hadn’t been fully settled yet, so it wouldn’t be easy to figure out who threw it in.

She opened the paper ball, and two lines of scribbled words were written on it, ”If you want to know information about your biological parents, come to the hunting ground alone.”

She twitched her mouth, tossed the paper ball to Mu Jin, and said, ”Throw it away.”

Then she lowered her head to continue eating her lotus seed porridge.

Mu Jin opened the paper and glanced at it with some surprise. Seeing that there was no one else in the room, she whispered, ”Miss, should I go take a look?”

She shook her head, ”This trick is just for kids. Since when did you become so childish? Burn it. Lest Dongbao and Bo He see it, they’ll definitely run faster than you!”

Mu Jin’s usually calm face cracked a little. Just as she was about to turn around, Dongbao and Bo He entered with a tray each.

After placing the trays down, Dongbao keenly spotted the paper ball in Mu Jin’s hand, ”Sister Mu Jin, what’s that?”

As he spoke, he conveniently snatched the paper ball from Mu Jin, who hadn’t had time to throw it away, and opened it.

Mu Jin...

It wasn’t that her hands were slow; she just hadn’t figured out Miss’s intention yet, which made her react a little slower.

Sure enough, after reading, Dongbao immediately widened his eyes and turned to She, ”Miss, you mustn’t be deceived. I’ll go and see who’s playing tricks! Surely someone is up to no good!”

She gave Mu Jin a look as if to say, ”See, I knew this would happen,” and Mu Jin quietly bowed her head.

”Alright, the people looking to cause me trouble can be counted on one hand, let them mess around if they want!” She looked at the food pile before her, ”If there’s nothing else, come over and eat!”

She was familiar with the three maids, so she didn’t stand on ceremony, and they often ate together. At first, Aunt Qin would scold a bit when she saw them, but the Eldest Princess said as long as She was happy, it was fine. So Aunt Qin had no more comments and sometimes even prepared tasty dishes for them to enjoy together.

Ever since Mu Jin and Bo He sisters arrived, her small courtyard had become much livelier, which made the Eldest Princess happy as well.
