The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 97: Chapter 97: Mother and Your Eldest Uncle...

Seeing Han Jing now, he ultimately couldn’t help but feel a tinge of disappointment in his heart.

She, in fact, must also very much love children! Otherwise, how could she do so much for such an abandoned child?

It’s just that the heavens are ultimately too cruel, making it impossible for her in this lifetime to have her own child, thoroughly blocking any possibility of them being together.

Han Si Que nodded towards Han Jing: ”Jing’er has grown so big!”

Han Jing smiled without saying a word.

”Let’s go!” Su Yaogeng knew well what Han Siqu meant, and it was really quite dull; did he think she could rekindle her old feelings with Han Si Que?

Han Jing quickly followed Su Yaogeng to leave.

But Han Siqu seemed not to intend to let them go so easily, and he spoke again: ”Princess, won’t you greet your big brother? After all, you haven’t seen each other for many years.”

Su Yaogeng’s face showed sarcasm, yet suddenly her voice softened: ”Oh, yes, it’s been many years indeed. How about the Marquis stays and talks about our loving life these years with Duke Wei? How about that? Jing’er and I will head back first, and you take your time chatting!”

Having said that, she took Han Jing’s hand and left.

Han Siqu slightly lowered his head, a trace of mockery flashing in his eyes.

Ha, loving life?

That really is the biggest joke!

Who in the capital doesn’t know that he, Han Siqu, is just a joke? Su Yaogeng, this Princess Yi Huang, the most noble princess of Nanyao Country, did not marry his brother Han Si Que but married him, the second son of Duke Mansion, Han Siqu, known far and wide. They are a couple in name only; what bigger joke is there than this?

Ha, everyone envies him this Prince Consort, with a title and beautiful concubines, but what does he count as?

Now his good big brother has returned, their great hero of the Han Family has returned, he genuinely wants to see if the once arrogant Su Yaogeng has the guts to rekindle her old flame with Han Si Que!

Han Siqu lifted the corners of his lips, smiling while exchanging some ceremonious pleasantries with Han Si Que. The once-close brothers now, even he doesn’t know how much of their bond remains! As the sacrifice of their feelings, Han Siqu feels that if he doesn’t seize the opportunity to get in their way more, he really would have lived these decades in vain!

After Su Yaogeng and Han Jing returned, Su Yaogeng seemed somewhat out of spirits, pulling Han Jing to drink tea, yet she sat in a daze, silently, not knowing what she was thinking about.

Seeing her like this, Han Jing decided to tell her what she overheard: ”Mother, I just heard your conversation with Uncle.”

Su Yaogeng indeed returned to her senses: ”You heard it all?”

Han Jing nodded, looking at Su Yaogeng, wanting to speak but hesitant: ”Mother and Uncle...”

Su Yaogeng looked at her, sighed, then said helplessly: ”You child have really grown up, even Mother’s matters can’t be hidden from you. Actually, it’s not anything serious. Back then, Han Si Que and I were in mutual affection, but because of health reasons, I couldn’t have children. After he knew, he got engaged with someone else. I can force others, but not him. After all, he is the legitimate heir of the Duke Mansion and needs to inherit it. He made his choice, and even I couldn’t change anything. So I simply married his biological younger brother, and it was due to being young and impulsive back then that I made such a decision. So despite my status, I granted Han Siqu absolute freedom as a man, but ultimately, I owe him.”
