The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss

Chapter 245: Entering the Dungeon

I’m standing in front of the academy gate where the students are gathering, and I soon notice those three adventurers arriving, meaning my scapegoats are here and nothing else is missing.

”Okay, students, this group of Rank S will accompany us for extra security, the objective in the dungeon will be to explore part of it and in the end kill the dungeon boss, we have a single map that will stay with me the whole time and I will guide you with tips.”

”But the direction itself should be based on what I say, we won’t leave the dungeon until the boss is defeated, and finally I won’t be taking any supplies and no one else will be getting anything.”

”Of course, I’ll only tell the direction we should follow if we’re too far from the location, so most of the time you’ll be guiding us.”

”That means you’ll have to survive with what you brought or survive with the dungeon’s resources.” Everyone seems very discouraged, except for the adventurers who are approaching me.

”Everything is ready, Grand Duchess, we also have some magical artifacts to catalog, that wouldn’t be a problem, right?” Trix, the group’s mage, asks me.

’...’

”As long as the content is 100% about the dungeon, I don’t mind.” I imply that anything about me or the students is prohibited, there’s no reason for her to catalog things about us.

”Sure, as soon as we get to the dungeon, we’ll start exploring, is that alright?” Rob asks as he also approaches.

”Yes, do as you please, if an emergency occurs, I’ll call you with some attention-grabbing magic.” I tell them as I begin to activate the artifact that ”Akari” gave me.

This artifact will teleport us directly to the dungeon, and while I’m activating it, the saint comes to talk to me.

”P-Pandora, do I really need to spend all this time with you? I have matters to attend to.”

”Saint, I know your duty is to take care of the heroes, don’t procrastinate, this is their training and you must supervise everything, it’s your duty as a saint to do so.” I say coldly, I love how she’s terrified of me and I can use that to my advantage.

”H-Haha, of course...” She backs away uncomfortably as the artifact finishes charging.

”It’s better that everyone is ready, I’m going to teleport us to the front of the dungeon and then we’ll immediately enter it!” I say as a magical circle appears on the ground and glows.

In an instant, we’re teleported to a forest right in front of a cave with an obviously strange and too dark entrance, it turns out this entrance is the portal.

And as soon as we enter this portal, we’ll be in the dungeon that Akari has full possession of, I can already sense the barrier made with Akari’s mana to prevent annoying intruders.

”Enter” I say, and the Rank S group quickly enters, followed by the group of heroes who march in there with dragging steps.

”What are you doing, saint, get in!” I push her into the portal and enter right after, being the last one to enter.

And the moment I enter, I feel something terrible at the same time that I generate a terrible feeling to my observer.

’Akari, you malicious bitch’ No wonder this dungeon has never been explored and Akari decided to keep the monopoly of the dungeon.

The monsters I feel around must be between Rank C and Rank B, just like the classification, but below the ground I feel the presence of a Rank S monster.

And this same monster noticed me as soon as I entered, at the moment we are ”staring” at each other without really doing anything.

”Okay, students, let’s begin.” It seems that only I noticed this powerful monster below the ground, and since the monster noticed me but didn’t do anything, I’ll just stay still.

Probably because of my passives, which give malevolent beings a chance not to attack me, among other things, and since I’m quite strong, this monster seems not to want to fight me.

”What will we do... teacher?” Some students ask hesitantly, the Rank S adventurers have already disappeared, going to explore and leaving us alone.

”Walk.” I just tell them to walk, they should follow the direction they wish for now.

”Where to?”

”Anywhere, just walk forward.” I say, throwing the responsibility to them.

”...” Everyone is confused, but soon the more heated ones start walking in a direction, while the others end up following suit.

”P-Pandora, will you let this happen?” The saint asks apprehensively, as the heroes are going in the complete opposite direction of the dungeon boss.

”Yes, they must learn to locate the enemy on their own.” I’ve already memorized the map, and that area will have something fun to watch.

’It seems the saint has already noticed where the dungeon boss is, she’s not just any saint.’ I didn’t think she would actually find the boss so easily, and even if she managed to find the boss, she didn’t notice the monster underground.

’Maybe I should go see what’s really hidden down there.’ I can think about that later, for now I decide to just follow the heroes, I was so focused on the monster below the ground that I didn’t even notice the scenery.

It’s like a forest, but with strange twisted trees like springs, and strange colors with tones of green, orange, and red.

The sky also has an unusually pale blue tone, and there is no sun, even though it has a ”daytime” climate, there is no form of illumination.

We walk for about 10 minutes and stop at an incredibly fragrant swamp, the water has a strange green appearance, but the smell is undoubtedly great, a malicious smile appears on my face as I quickly jump on top of a tree.

”Hey, students, keep going! You chose this path and you must continue! After all, it’s the responsibility for your choices.” The saint quickly notices what’s in the water and starts floating above it with magic.

The students seem not to have noticed, distracted by the good smell.

”What’s the problem, saint, do you seem uncomfortable with something?” I say maliciously as I watch the students entering the water and walking forward without even noticing what they’re really entering.

”W-Well...”

”They won’t die.” I tell the saint to stop talking, they decided of their own free will to come in this direction, if they had the slightest experience, they would know that entering a place that has a strange appearance and a pleasant smell is dangerous.

The swamp itself practically screams ”I’m dangerous,” and yet the students entered, do they think this is an earth swamp where the maximum danger would be an aquatic animal?

”Haa...” The saint just sighs as we follow forward, the students don’t notice, but me and the saint notice those things sticking to their legs.

’What a pity that the water will soon decrease and they’ve already gotten out of it.’ A student looks up and notices me and the saint simply avoiding the water, she looks at the water and shudders all over.

Seems to have noticed that the fact that we two have avoided the water naturally makes the water the biggest problem.

”H-Hyaaaa, w-what is this thing?” The same girl tried to climb a tree and I saw several black things stuck to her skin, they pierced the academy’s uniform and attached themselves to the flesh.

”They are leeches, or rather a class C monster that attaches to your flesh, draining your blood and mana.” I tell her as the other students look at the terrified girl and hear the explanation I give.

Soon it’s all a mess with them running to the trees to get out of the water, these leeches don’t cause pain when they attach to the body, but they cause a lot of pain if you try to remove them.

They stumble all over each other pushing each other to get out of the water, making a mess out of fear when it’s not even that dangerous, from up here they look like ants.

”W-Why didn’t you say there were these in the water!” A student yells at me while others seem to be outraged, there are students who have about 20 of them stuck to their legs and others have more than 40.

”I’m your teacher, not your mother, what kind of idiot enters suspicious water in a dungeon?” I say with disdain.

”If you don’t get out of the swamp soon, I’ll cut down all the trees with magic.” I quickly leave the swamp area, appearing right in front.

”...” The saint follows me, leaving the students behind as we wait, while the students are coming, I stick my hand in the swamp and let them bite me, and take out my hand that already has 3 of them.

’They’re interesting...’ It didn’t hurt and even with my sensitivity I barely felt it, I pull them off my skin and feel a pang of pain.

’It’s going to hurt a lot for them to take them off, great.’ I take off the other two and throw them back into the water, waiting for the students who are trying to come as quickly as possible, some using magic and others jumping between the trees.

Maybe I’ll create a leech shadow, there are many possibilities of shadows I can create to use.

”Great, now take them off without magic!” I tell them who have finally gotten out of the water, and as soon as the first one takes one off, he screams in pain and they all notice it won’t be that easy.

”Oh, and no one here can use magic to take them off.” I say, but without saying the reason, they start complaining, but I ignore them and soon Kaito, who is very rebellious, tries to take one off with magic and immediately starts rolling on the ground in pain.

I go to him and step on him to make him stop rolling in pain.

”Hey, I said not to use magic, are you an idiot or what?” They are stealing the magic, obviously if you try to take them off with magic, you’ll have problems.

”As punishment, go take a bath.” I kick him hard into the lake, he hits a tree that falls as he sinks into the swamp.

The students look at me as if I’m crazy for having kicked him into that ”dangerous” place, but I know he won’t die.

”Don’t worry so much, he won’t die just from a few bites, it’s good to learn not to disobey orders, don’t you agree, saint?” I pass the ”baton” to the saint to give her opinion in my favor.

”...”

”A-Ah, y-yes, it’s good... to learn...”

”Now remove them from your bodies and decide which way you’ll go?” I say with malice, waiting to hear their cries of pain as they remove them from their bodies.
