The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss

Chapter 222: Delphina’s feelings... Frustration

I slowly open my eyes and feel some strange pains, opening my eyes I see that I am naked, chained, and Delphina is biting my body.

”...” I stare at Delphina as she looks at me, biting my arm, I look at my body full of bite marks.

”I didn’t know you had...these hobbies, cool chains...” I say, looking at the chains, soon Delphina stops biting me.

”Sorry to chain you, you were attacking everyone even unconscious so I had to stop you,” She says while licking the bite mark on my body.

”You looked very beautiful like this, you grew a little,” Delphina says, staring at my body, especially my breasts, but her voice seems a little angry.

”Why are you angry...and could you release me?” I don’t know, but I think being with Delphina can be bad now.

”28 cities and 4 kingdoms were destroyed along with 1,897,765,642 mermaids that were killed, plus 289 fish species that were extinct, and 3 ecosystems that were devastated by your attack,” Her tone is cold.

’Damn...’ I broke quite a lot of stuff even, and I killed a lot of mermaids even though I had an alliance with them, and besides, for the mermaids to lose that many must be really bad since they don’t have enough men to replenish the numbers.

In other words, they must increase the number of men they kidnap.

”D-Delphina, you see...” I try to explain.

”Shhh, don’t finish talking, Pandora, besides the damage you caused with your attack...there’s also the damage you did when you were attacking and devouring everything in the ocean uncontrollably.”

”Along with that damn hydra attacking my cities.”

’...I’m in big trouble...’ Okay, I’m the demon king and causing destruction is normal, besides, I don’t care at all about having killed them all, but having left Delphina angry was unexpected.

”...Pandora, I love you, and we have an ongoing alliance...you...you screwed up my oceans...how are you going to make it up to me? I won’t accept apologies, I’m at a loss,” she says as she nibbles on my chest, marking her teeth on my body.

For some reason, I can’t regenerate, so my whole body is marked with her teeth, she usually is very cute and responsive, but seeing her angry reminds me that she is much stronger than me.

”...Okay, okay, Delphina is right, I admit I messed up...” I have no idea how to fix this problem.

”First, where are we?” I question her without knowing my location at the moment.

”Underground prison of my dwelling, this place theoretically should house the biggest criminals of the ocean, but I always kill them all, so it’s never been used.”

’So I’m a criminal and the only thing keeping me alive is her love.’ I sigh with relief, I imagined if this had happened before I met Delphina and she started liking me, I would have been killed.

”Delphina, how about a deal? Like, I have the demons and the beastmen with me...can I give half of them to your mermaids to have sex, how about that?” They need men, so I’ll give them men.

”...Half of my palace disappeared.” Delphina gives me a stronger bite on my chest, sinking her teeth in and then releasing, my body trembles a little.

’!!!’

”...My room was evaporated by your attack, I didn’t even know about it, I could only protect half of my house,” She gives me another bite.

Her biting me reminds me of something about her name, the name Delphina has a direct connection to dolphins and dolphins have a tendency to punish other dolphins with light blows or bites, or temporary expulsion and isolation.

So the bites she gives on my body are like she’s punishing me in her own cute way, I know she’s a shark, but it happens that she’s not directly linked to sharks, but to aquatic beings in general besides the shark.

”Delphina, why are you biting me?”

”Punishment,” She answers exactly what I imagined as she gives more bites all over my body, I think I can’t regenerate because of the chains.

”Do you still have a lot to punish me for?” I have the marks of her teeth all over my body, most are light bites so there’s no blood, just the bite mark.

But others were stronger bites so there are light marks of blood where the teeth were sunk into me.

”Pandora...I love you, and knowing that you almost died saddens me...but you also destroyed what I built, that’s not cool between two partners.”

”You shouldn’t do irresponsible things like that...” She looks at me with a dangerous look.

”If you do this again in my oceans, I’ll chain you up here, it’s not a threat, but I hope you understand that I also have to take care of what’s mine, but I don’t have the courage to kill you.”

”...”

”Delphina, are you really very angry? They’re just mortals, you can replace them.” I understand that destroying something of hers is bad, but I don’t understand why you give so much value to something replaceable.

If it was something important, I would understand, maybe I’m just too cold about what I don’t like and see as disposable.

”...Pandora, I hate it when they break what is mine, only I have the right to discard my things, everything in the ocean is mine and only I can break it, not you, you can’t do that to my things.”

”...”

”Are you listening to me, pay attention! I’m the strongest here, so I dictate the hierarchy in which we live! They were mine! You can’t just break my things as if they were yours!” She gets angry when I don’t seem to be paying much attention.

”You knew you were going to cause damage, that’s why you didn’t fight in your kingdom, you didn’t even ask me if you could fight in my seas, and now you want to talk about what has value or not!”

”...” I didn’t know this side of Delphina, but it makes sense, especially considering that she curses the mermaids so they can’t leave the sea without permission, and also puts a curse on everything near a place where a mermaid died when she’s not in the sea.

I guess I took Delphina too lightly and forgot that before loving me and trying to be cute, she was an implacable tyrant, and that’s not going to change just because she likes me.

Just as I’ll never stop killing and devouring others even if the one I love asks me to.

”...”

”Delphina, I understand, you can release me now, I won’t fight in your oceans anymore,” I give a mischievous smile.

”But don’t think you’ll be on top forever, as soon as I’m strong enough, I’ll show who’s on top.” She may be the strongest for now, but someday she’ll be weaker.

”I won’t release you, not yet, you need to pay for all the damage you caused me, you need to send men to my people to grow again, and you need...”

”Pandora, I forgot something...why do you smell like Grimm?” She stops talking as if she remembered something and her expression closes into one of disgust.

’Oh shit...’ Falling into the ocean was the worst thing possible.

”Well, haha, let’s say a funny thing happened, you know...and I got politically married to Grimm...”

”You got married...you got married to Grimm...even though you never married me...” Her voice is frustrated, extremely frustrated, Delphina clearly loves me, but I’ve never shown the same love for her.

Unlike her, who clearly shows she loves me, all I’ve done with her is sex, with Mikael I clearly fell in love and started liking him, with Zephyra I love her too and got married to her, even had special moments together.

But with Delphina, nothing beyond sex happened, yes, we had several passionate days of continuous sex, but that’s it, after that she was practically forgotten.

Of course, as a goddess, she would normally not mind waiting a little, but that’s where the fact that I got married to Grimm comes in, when she herself has already shown she doesn’t like Grimm.

I never asked Delphina to marry me or said I would marry her, I didn’t even ask her to have a formal relationship, I just said a few things, but without ever making anything official.

For her, it must be extremely frustrating, of course I like her, it may not be an extreme love like in the case of Zephyra or Mikael, but I still like her, much more than Grimm, whom I only married to gain advantages.

”...” This is kind of dangerous, Delphina is one of the more ”animalistic” goddesses, this is noticeable, but most goddesses follow their visible traits, so those who look more human have a more composed and rational personality.

While those of us with less human traits, like me, Delphina, my mother, and Morynna, are more impulsive, just like animals, we easily abandon rationality and choose based on what we want.

It doesn’t mean we don’t think about our choices, but rather that many of our choices are affected by instincts, and of course Delphina, my mother and I are the ones with the most dangerous and closest to wild animal or savage beast instincts.

If dangerous ideas start to emerge in Delphina’s mind, I’ll be in trouble, if Delphina decides she needs more ”time” with me, nothing prevents her from locking me up as she had warned.

And being locked up now is a problem, I haven’t taken my revenge and my revenge is getting closer and closer, I can’t be locked up.

”...Delphina, I love you.” I say only that because I have a plan.

”...You’ve never done much for me...Pandora, what can you do to relieve me of my frustrations?”

”I have an idea to prove my love and give you more prominence!” I have a great idea that will benefit me in the war against humanity.

”Say it...”

”How about you accept a deal with the humans? Tell them that in the war against me, you will allow them to use the oceans to move around, but in return, they must allow something.”

”And that something is for the princess of the mermaids to participate in the most prestigious academy, I’m infiltrated in this academy as a student, if you enter the academy we can study together.”

”That way you will have more time with me, just hide your power, hide the fact that you are a goddess, and don’t kill anyone.”

”...Study with you?” Her gaze has a genuine gleam of interest, showing that I’ve ”hooked” this dangerous shark, I guess I’m a great ”fisherman”.

”Yes, it’s a proof of my love, I trust you so much that I tell you these things.” I know things can go wrong with her with me at the academy, but it’s better than her having dangerous ideas.

”...So if I accept a false deal with the humans, you’ll use that to your advantage in the war, and I can have more time with you...” Delphina murmurs.

”Okay, Pandora...I accept this, I’ll participate in this human academy...and I’ll restrain myself from killing anyone and messing you up...I’ll leave a clone taking care of the seas and disguise myself as a mortal.”

’It worked...’ It’s a relief to have worked, among all my 4 closest partners, Delphina is one of the most dangerous, only not being more dangerous than Grimm.

”Then Pandora, tomorrow I’ll send you back to your castle, today you should remain imprisoned as punishment, and then you should send some of your men to the mermaids.”

”I’ll see the deal with the humans and say I’ll accept it in exchange for what you told me, now have a good rest.”

”W-Wait, are you going to leave me chained up, naked, and full of bite marks?” Delphina gives a mischievous smile, revealing her fangs.

”You deserve this for your mistake, I’ll see you tomorrow, darling.” She disappears so fast I don’t even see her, I can’t break the handcuffs, I probably can get out if I turn into the partial monster form that’s liquid.

But it’s better to just accept this small punishment, and of course, hope that Lilith is in a worse state than mine.
