The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss

Chapter 242: Starting My Plans

”Alright Pandora, I’ve already sent messages and warnings through magic to the teachers and students, and now all the summoned heroes are in a new room and the classes have been rearranged,” says the Akari clone.

I toss the book I’m reading into the shadows as I get up and stretch briefly from being on the couch in an uncomfortable position for a while.

”Wonderful, is the saint there as well?” I question with doubt.

”Yes, she has been assigned to increase the time she spends at the school and will have joint classes with you, so you both will be teaching at the same time,” Akari says as she places some papers on the desk.

During the hours I’ve been here, she’s left several times and used a lot of magic, so I’m thinking about taking advantage of that.

”I’ll organize a school event for an ’intensive training’ where all the heroes will come with me and the Saint to a dungeon for training,” I say, thinking of a good idea. From what I feel of the magic at the school, the heroes are quite strong and will soon reach their peak.

”Say that this will be done today, I’ll go to the adventurer’s guild to get a group for ’extra security’ in the dungeon.”

”Alright, as you wish, Pandora,” the clone speaks as I leave her room. In this dungeon, I’ll be able to ”play” with the heroes and help them reach their peak, only to crush them afterwards.

It will be very fun to do this, there are so many ideas and plans to use on them that I get excited just imagining them suffering. I think I’m picking up on Kaelith and Grimm’s perversity, but oh well.

Leaving the academy, I quickly grab a map of the city from a shop and see where the most important guild in the kingdom is located. The reason I want a group of adventurers is to use them as an ”excuse” in case of any failures.

Which will obviously happen, since I’ll be causing problems for the heroes while avoiding killing them it’s just sadistic fun while making them reach their maximum level.

I want the focus of the adventurers to be so that I can shift the blame to them for any issues I cause. If I do something that could be bad, the blame will be pushed onto them, leaving me exempt from any responsibilities or guilt.

The saint, who is afraid of me, will obviously be by my side so that no problems remain for her, which already gives me the perfect alibi of innocence.

Even walking slowly, I quickly arrive at the guild and sense some really strong auras inside, but nothing compared to my current power or Mikael’s power.

I carefully open the door and see various adventurers taking on quests, chatting, and even drinking or eating. The guild has a huge and well-constructed structure.

With several receptionists serving the groups, I also notice some commotion as I enter, and I end up overhearing it even though I don’t want to.

”Why the fuck can’t we leave the city!” an adventurer yells at the receptionist, who calmly responds.

”Sir, I understand that your group is Rank S and want to go on missions, but due to the recent increase in monster attacks, the kingdom has requested that at least 3 Rank S teams be in the city in case of an emergency.”

”And with your group, that makes exactly 3 Rank S groups in the city. I cannot release any other missions unless another Rank S group returns to the city. I hope you understand.”

”And why is the Guild listening to the kingdom, huh?” he says irritatedly, his aura practically oppressing the receptionist, who does her best to endure it.

”I-I am not responsible for that decision, I cannot inform you about the guild master’s decisions. Please leave and return to your quarters or wait for another group to come back,” the employee manages to say, though with difficulty.

”Hey, brat, this isn’t a place for nobles,” a guy who just entered the guild says as he sees me standing in front of the door. I had been engrossed in the conversation and hadn’t moved.

The guy is tall and strong, but he’s basically just a brute pretending to be tough. His loud voice caught the attention of some people who murmur about me.

Adventurers and nobles have many feuds, mainly because although there are nobles like me and Celeste who are obviously powerful mages or fighters, the majority are just a bunch of weaklings.

Who sometimes come to the guild, take on more responsibility than they can handle, and then die or give up after causing trouble. So in the view of many adventurers, nobles are just weak people who use money and power to be above others.

”There is no place where I cannot be,” I say arrogantly. No one dictates or will dictate where I can or cannot be, and it won’t be some weak brute like him who’s going to tell me I can’t stay here.

”Oh, the porcelain doll has some sass, listen here, brat, the guild isn’t a place for princesses like you, get out of here,” his antipathy is clear, but I won’t let anyone try to order me around like that.

”And what if I don’t leave, what are you going to do about it?” We’ve drawn attention, most here don’t notice how strong I am since I hide it very well as a true predator, but that guy who seems to be Rank S appears to have noticed that I’m strong.

After all, just hiding one’s strength doesn’t always work, because some have sharp instincts about certain things.

”You think I’m scared of your money, brat, I’ll drag you out of here by force if I want to,” he says, acting brave.

”Gilian! Stop that, man!” A girl appears, punching the big guy lightly on the arm.

”I apologize, Grand Duchess, Gilian is just a bit rough, don’t mind him too much,” the girl apologizes for the guy with ”politeness,” but the color of her face doesn’t lie about the disgust she feels towards me.

”It’s alright, it must be difficult to have a complete idiot who only has muscles for brains as a partner. I feel sorry for your misfortune in only being able to find trash as a companion, but I guess it’s natural for equals to stick together,” I insult them politely.

This makes a vein pop on the girl’s forehead, while the big guy seems irritated.

”Listen here, you little bitch of a brat, take back what you said or I’ll kill you!” He says, letting his anger take over. I notice someone strong coming down from the lower floor, probably the guild master coming to see the commotion.

”Make me take it back,” I provoke him even more. I know the guild’s policies if I attack someone without reason, I’ll receive a ”penalty” and won’t be able to request their services for a while.

However, if I’m attacked first and act in ”self-defense,” I can do whatever I want without punishment. That’s why I’m just provoking them with words in the end, adventurers like this are always hot-headed and not afraid of nobles.

”Y-YOU BRAT!” He approaches and raises his fist to attack me, but as soon as he lands a punch on my face, nothing happens, leaving the guild in silence. Based on his power, I’d say he’s Rank B or something similar.

And his punch didn’t even move me from where I was standing.

”[Demon King’s Gravitational Pressure]” I murmur extremely quietly, concealing the words with magic, and soon an enormous pressure is generated near me, but with a reduced range.

Everyone is in shock as the ground now has a mass of crushed and compressed flesh. The gravity pressure was so great that his body was completely pressed against the ground, destroying everything and leaving only a ”carpet” of flesh and blood.

I killed him with just a bit of magic and the force of my aura, showing the difference in our levels. The girl, who seems terrified, looks at me.

”The penalty for insulting a noble and attacking them is the death penalty, but I’m merciful I’ll take just your legs,” The girl is confused when I say this, as I instantly knock her down, getting on top of her abdomen while holding her legs.

”W-Wait, what are you going to do? HYAAAAA!” She screams as I rip off her legs using magic and brute force in an instant. The nauseating sound of tearing flesh echoes through the guild as blood stains my body.

But without caring about it, I simply burn the legs with magic. Since everyone heard the punishment, no one will heal this girl. Sentences applied in this way must be maintained.

If someone heals this girl, both of them will be executed for going against the ”law” that was justly applied. And of course, since I’ve already punished her, I don’t need to do anything else or it would leave a ”bad” image for me.

I simply get off the girl, who is crying on the floor, ignoring the blood dripping from my body as I go to the reception.

Some look at me terrified, while others don’t care much because they know not to mess with someone who’s quiet.

”Hello, receptionist, I’d like to make a request for right now,” I say with a smile, which becomes frightening due to the blood dripping from my face.

”Y-Y-Yes, what do you need?”

”A strong group to come with me to explore a dungeon and defend some students in case of an emergency. It’s an academy task, and the payment will be... hmm... about 5 times the market value,” I make a generous offer.

”Is that offer open to me as well?” The adventurer who was arguing with the receptionist asks me.

”Of course, as long as it’s a strong group, and they won’t have to do much.”

”Then you’re in luck, my Crimson Wind group is free. My name is Carlk, and our group is composed of 2 swordsmen and a mage. Does that work for you?” The red-haired, green-eyed man asks.

If he had the courage to ask even after what he saw, it means he’s the right choice.

”Of course, I accept. Just wait for the receptionist to take notes and fill out a form,” I say as the man named Carlk nods in agreement and waits.
