Chapter 245: Insurance

Sierraʼs laughter attracted the attention of everyone around her, even the little babies were attracted by her ringing laughter.

”Oh, Iʼm sorry, Iʼm sorry,” Sierra said with a smile, apologizing.

While Sierra was laughing, Milica, on the contrary, was serious.

”Did you make a contract with her?” she asked, looking at Idan.

”Yes,” Idan replied with a slight smile.

Sierraʼs laughter grew even louder.

”Ahaha...oh God, I canʼt stop,” Sierra said, unable to contain her laughter.

Milica and Sierra, having life experience and knowledge, immediately understood what had happened. Sierra found this situation funny and interesting, while Milica began to worry about her disciples.

”Ugh... I donʼt suppose you know who she is?” Milica asked with a sigh, staring intently at Risi.

All four of them, including Eulalia, nodded in response.

”Vampires who have reached the highest realm are very difficult to kill. Especially the Legendary Vampires,” Milica continued, seeing the genuine interest in her disciplesʼ eyes.

”There are not many beings in Junonia that have reached the Legendary rank, and such beings rarely come into conflict with each other. However, if this happens, it is incredibly difficult for them to kill each other. And it follows from this that the Legendary Vampires themselves are difficult to kill, they have a special ability, thanks to which, even if they are killed, they will not die completely, but will eventually be reborn. Because of this, almost no one wants to make vampires who have reached the highest realm their enemies, especially Vampires of the Legendary rank.”

”Hehe, I think youʼve already guessed?” Sierra intervened, noticing how all of Milicaʼs disciples were staring at Rizzy in surprise.

”As you have already understood, Rizzy is the result of this unique ability inherent in Vampires of Legendary rank,” Milica confirmed.

”This ability allows vampires to separate a fragment of their soul and hide it in a safe place, which, in their opinion, is inaccessible to other beings. This fragment of the soul serves as a kind of insurance in case of their death. After the death of a Legendary Vampire, if he or she has already managed to separate and hide a fragment of the soul during their lifetime, they can be reborn with the help of this fragment of their soul.”

After listening to Milicaʼs explanation, everyone fell into thought, while Sierra watched the scene with a smile.

Since she met this couple, her life has become much more interesting. Amazing and sometimes absurd events were always happening around them, and Sierra found it very funny.

”But, Master, if what youʼre saying is true, then isnʼt it too risky?” asked Idan after listening to Milica.

This unique ability of Legendary rank Vampires amazed him, but holding little Rizzy in his arms and seeing her red eyes staring at him intently, he couldnʼt help but wonder if it was too dangerous to separate a soul fragment that could, like Rizzy, gain its own consciousness.

Milica didnʼt know how to explain this situation either.

”One would assume that baby Rizzy is a Legendary Vampire who, after death, is slowly reborn through a soul fragment left behind. But if your ability isnʼt deceiving you, then Rizzy is really just a pure fragment of this vampireʼs soul. She gained her own consciousness and independence, which led to her rebellion,” Sierra explained.

”According to Nemo, this creature appeared after he left the dungeon, and he already had a connection with this creature. This means that a fragment of the legendary vampireʼs soul has long since regained its consciousness. And, most likely, this is related to Nemo even before he got into Limbo and lost his memories,” Milica concluded after thinking a little.

”And if thatʼs the case, then youʼre in big trouble. Especially for Nemo and Idan,” she continued.

Nemo and Idan, hearing these words of their Master, visibly flinched.

”Idan, because of your contract with Rizzy, the main soul should have sensed this and found out that someone had made a contract with her soul fragment. Thanks to the connection with her soul fragment, she can find you,” concluded Milica.

Hearing Miliсaʼs words of warning, Idan scratched his head in embarrassment, while Arabel and Nemo also looked at him.

”Is something wrong?” — Milica asked, noticing the strange expression on the coupleʼs faces and Nemoʼs behavior.

”The fact is that when I signed the contract with Rizzy, my ability severed all of Rizzyʼs existing connections, including her connection to the main soul,” Idan confessed.

Milica was surprised to hear this, but Sierra, on the contrary, almost laughed out loud, but then, remembering something, turned her attention to Arabel.

”Little sister, when you signed the contract with Esma, did she also sever all ties with the main body? She didnʼt just run away with you to another world, but completely separated?” Sierra asked Arabel expectantly and with a smile, and when Sierra saw Arabelʼs nod, she couldnʼt help but laugh.

”Oh, my God. Not only did you help Avatar Esmari escape to another world, but you literally stole it from her?” Sierraʼs eyes started to water with laughter.

Although Esmari could not know what her avatar was doing while Esma was in Limbo, Esmari could sense that her avatar was alive and hiding from her somewhere due to the connection of souls. However, the break connection was different. It was like forcibly separating a part of the soul, and, of course, there would be consequences after that.

”First you stole the avatar from the Legendary Valkyrie, and now youʼre saying you took the ʼinsuranceʼ from the Legendary Vampire?” Sierra asked with a smile, clearly amused by the situation.

”Yes,” Idan and Arabel replied at the same time, confirming their words. One of them stole the avatar from the legendary Valkyrie, and the other recently took away the ”insurance” from the legendary vampire.

”Well, apart from those present here and Lucinda, no one knows that you, Arabel, have signed a contract with Esma and severed her connection with Esmarie. So, if no one talks, then you wonʼt have any special problems,” Sierra calmed down a little and turned to Arabel.

She then turned her attention to Idan and Rizzy.

”As for Idan, since he also severed the connection with Rizzyʼs main soul, it will be difficult for her to find him. Even if Idan ends up in Junonia itself, not to mention your homeworld. So Idan doesnʼt have to worry too much.”

”As for Nemo, I donʼt even know,” Sierra, not knowing all the information about Nemo, couldnʼt make precise assumptions.

”Nemo, you are the most in danger in this situation,” Milica said anxiously.

”You do know that you have three connections, and one of them is with a vampire, donʼt you?” asked Milica, wanting to make sure Nemo was aware.

”Yes, I know about that,” Nemo nodded back.

”Iʼve been thinking and comparing all the known facts. It seems that before you lost your memories, you probably discovered the place where the soul fragment of the Legendary Vampire was hidden and somehow woke her up. The main soul, of course, couldnʼt help but notice this, and through her fragment, she must have found out who you are. And before you could run or hide, she put the mark that you have on you.”

”A mark?” asked Nemo. He was aware of his three connections, but he didnʼt know about the marks.

When Sierra heard about the marks, her ears twitched. She had noticed the pendant given by Valkyrie a long time ago and knew what it meant. However, she wasnʼt aware that Nemo had two more marks.

”I was going to tell you about this before you left Limbo, but for some reason I forgot. Besides the pendant, you have two more marks—from a Vampire and a Dragon.” At the time, Milica not only did not talk about the mark, but also hid information about Nemoʼs bloodline, although she promised to explain everything to Idan and Arabel as soon as they found a way out.

”These marks are not simple. They are called ”Spouseʼs” marks. Some races, such as Dragons, Vampires, Elves, and others, put such marks on their partners to indicate their affiliation. The mark also serves as a kind of link between the partners.” Milica sighed, and then, after a short pause, continued: ”In other words, thanks to this mark, the one who put it can find out where his partner is.”

Nemo frowned upon hearing this, but no one could see his emotions behind the mask. Idan, Arabel, and Eulalia looked at him anxiously.

”Simply put, the Main Soul probably put a ”husband” mark on you to prevent you, a ”thief”, from escaping,” Sierra summed up instead of Miliсa.

”Yes, I also came to the same conclusion,” Milica agreed, then added, ”Considering all this, we can say that you and Valkyrie have a close relationship, and the Vampire is most likely your enemy.”

”Now itʼs interesting to find out what kind of relationship he had with the Dragon,” Idan blurted out, drawing everyoneʼs attention.

Everyone, even the smallest babies, as if understanding what Idan had just said, looked at Nemo, waiting for him to answer.
