Chapter 217: Waking up after

”Ahh...” the young man groaned, lying curled up in the fetal position.

His whole body was shaking and soaked in sweat.

The guy slowly began to come to his senses.

Despite the flames still burning around him, the guy felt cold.

There was a dull pain in the chest area.

His heart was racing.

His throat was dry and he was very thirsty.

His consciousness was slowly waking up, but it was in chaos.

The guy didnʼt know who he was or where he was.

Slowly recovering, he tried to open his eyes, but he couldnʼt do it. His eyes were stuck together with something, and it was painful for him to try to open them.

When the guy tried to move his body, a sharp excruciating pain went through his entire body. As if he had been electrocuted, his body convulsively trembled, and this greatly increased the pain throughout his body.

”Ahhh!” the guy moaned in pain.

The more pain he felt, the faster his consciousness recovered.

It was difficult for him to keep track of the passage of time, and he did not know how long he had been suffering from this pain. Five seconds? Ten seconds? Minutes? Hours? It was too difficult to keep track of it. It seemed to him that an eternity had passed.

Gradually, the pain began to subside.

Now he was lying on his back with his arms and legs outstretched.

The sensations of his body told him that he was naked, but because of the pain, he did not pay attention to it.

When he could move his arm a bit, the first thing he decided to do was check his eyes.

With his eyes closed, he couldnʼt see what was preventing him from opening them.

Touching it carefully, he discovered that his eyelids were glued together by something that seemed to be either blood or tears.

His mind was still in chaos, but suddenly, a bottle of water appeared in his hand. Following his instincts, he opened it and splashed it in his eyes.

After a while, under the influence of water, the glued eyelids gradually straightened, and with difficulty, but still managed to slowly open his eyes. All he saw was the night sky.

Looking at the night sky, the guy was breathing heavily, his body was shaking continuously.

As he lay there, memories began to come back to him.

The first thing he remembered was his name, Idan.

Along with the name, all the memories came flooding back to him, right down to the last words ”Good luck!” uttered by him and his girlfriend, whose name was Arabel.

Their consciousness then plunged into darkness, and what happened next, the guy, who realized that his name was Idan, did not remember. Everything was in darkness.

His condition couldnʼt be worse.

”Ahhh!” Suddenly, Idan heard a groan next to him and, turning his head, found a girl lying nearby. It was Arabel. She was also lying in the fetal position, and her whole body was shaking.

There were flames burning around both of them, but those flames couldnʼt harm them.

In a radius of almost 500 meters, everything was engulfed in flames, and Idan, who finally came to his senses, felt the multiple presence of the flames around him.

Idan noticed familiar presences among those present, and it dawned on him that they were his sister Irene, Esma, and Ned, who was with them.

None of those present dared to enter the fire-ravaged area. Moreover, he felt that her sister, Irene, was doing her best to keep others from trying to explore what was going on inside.

He knew that Esma and Ned had probably made it clear that he and Arabel were inside, but they couldnʼt explain what was happening to them.

When Idan turned his attention to his body, he saw that his hands had become human again. Realizing this, he felt something return to its rightful place, and his gaze involuntarily fell there to make sure of it.

Relieved to find this, Idan sighed, but then his gaze froze.

It was only now that he realized that his body didnʼt look quite the way it should. His abs and muscles became more pronounced, reminding him of how he looked in his Flame Spirit form.

”Has gaining full control over my bloodline and new form affected my human body as well?” wondered Idan.

Idan didnʼt feel sad because his body had changed. On the contrary, he was glad, because Arabel seemed to like the way he looked in the guise of a Flame Spirit.

Idan didnʼt know what his face and hair looked like yet. Even though there was a lot of fire around, he could feel the presence of hair on his head.

”Ahhh!” — Arabel moaned, her body convulsing in pain. She was experiencing the same suffering as Idan had just recently.

Idan, still in pain, first sat down and then tried to stand up, but he did not have enough strength.

Realizing that he was naked, Idan pulled out a piece of cloth from his storage and wrapped it around his waist.

Then he crawled towards Arabel. Unlike him, her clothes were in place, only slightly tattered and torn in some places, but everything that needed to be hidden was hidden.

By the time Idan approached Arabel, she had regained some of her composure. Her eyes, like Idanʼs, were closed and glued together by congealed blood.

”Belle!” — Idan called out in his hoarse voice, hoping that she had already remembered who she was.

But Arabel didnʼt answer or move.

Idan closed his eyes and sighed.

But when he opened his eyes, he was surprised to find something flying straight at his face. Before he could react, he received a powerful blow to the nose and flew to the side.

The impact was so strong that just a little more, and the nose could have broken.

”Ahhh!” groaned Idan, clutching his nose. He felt something warm coming out of his nose and realized it was blood.

His gaze fell on Arabel, and he saw that it was she who, with her eyes closed, lying down, punched him right in the face.

”Get the fuck out, you scum! If you come any closer, Iʼll take you down, you bastard!” she said in a hoarse voice, waving her fists.

Arabelʼs cursing made Idan speechless for a moment and even forgot about the pain in his nose.
