Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!

Chapter 209: Outside the city

Far from the capital of the Federation, a huge bird landed on a small hill with a beautiful view of the distant city and the vast expanses of wilderness. A young man was sitting on her back, and a little fox was lying on his shoulder.

It was Idan, who, after Arabel and Esma left, had left the inn in search of a safe and deserted place.

”How about this place, System?” asked Idan.

[Host, considering your rank, this distance is quite enough!] — the System replied.

”Phew...” gasped Idan, walking down the hill. The huge bird, as soon as his passenger descended, transformed, turning into an exact copy of Idan.

”Great job, Ned!” exclaimed Idan, pleased with his doppelganger Ned, who, as he expected, could transform into a huge bird, greatly facilitating and helping him move.

Ned was very happy to hear the praise from Idan, his master.

He stood next to Idan and also looked at the city in the distance with admiration.

Thanks to the contract, Ned not only left Limbo, a place that had become a prison for members of his race, including his respected and revered ancestor, but also found himself in a completely new world. This was his masterʼs world, which would also become his new home.

If an outsider saw them now, they wouldnʼt be able to tell which one was the real one and which was the doppelganger. Only Coco, who was lazily lying on his shoulder and also admiring the lights of a distant city, pointed to the one who was real.

Idan silently looked at the lights of the city, and then raised his head and looked at the clear evening sky. It had been a long time since he had looked at the sky in such silence. He had always done it alone before.

Now, he had two amazing creatures by his side, the existence of which he had not even suspected for most of his life.

Idan stood for a while longer, remembering what had happened to him in the last few months since Arabel had entered his life.

It was the first time they were at such a great distance from each other.

For the first few months, they tried to stay a little apart from each other, but they still stayed within the same city, and even more so they met every day when they studied under Nemo and Eulalia.

But even at this distance, Idan felt a connection with her, and instead of this connection weakening, for some reason it became stronger. Idan was puzzled by this discovery.

Opening his status and quickly running his gaze over it, Idan found nothing new. Then he focused on the ”Functions” section and clicked on the ”Bloodlines” function.

Bloodlines:

_Human (Main) – Silver Rank; – 83%

_Alfa Fire Sync (Secondary) – Golden Rank; – 75%

_unavailable (new bloodline slot is unavailable. To gain access, buy a slot from the Supreme Bloodline System for System points using the Systemʼs ”Trade” function).

His basic human bloodline remained unchanged, even the percentage of synchronization with it did not change. The rank of his human bloodline depended on the Systemʼs level, and Idan was confident that once he passed the ascension trial, it would probably become ”Golden.”

As for his Alpha Fire bloodline, after meeting Irene, the synchronization with her improved significantly and reached 75 percent. Previously, this figure was below 57 percent.

There was only 25 percent left until his bloodline was fully mastered.

Idan, looking at the remaining 25 percent, began to doubt his abilities, but then pulled himself together and decided to at least try. He didnʼt want to give up without trying.

”Phew...” sighed Idan, crouched down and carefully lifted Coco off his shoulder.

The fox cub started kicking, not wanting to leave the warm and comfortable place, but Idan knew what he needed to do, and decided to take her off so as not to accidentally injure her.

”Calm down, Coco!” he said with a smile, trying to calm the little fox.

If he had known the day this little rascal did that, that soon she would get used to lying on his shoulder, and he himself would treat her with the same caution, he would not have believed it.

Although Idan still wanted to punish the scoundrel, he was still hesitant to take advantage of her newfound affection for him. He decided that he would punish her if she did something like that again. And until she proved herself, Idan backed off and allowed her to escape punishment.

Coco finally calmed down and sat down in front of Idan, staring at him with her big eyes.

”Coco, — Idan called, staring intently into her eyes. ”Can you use your ability again that you used on me this morning, but without touching me?”

Coco was no ordinary beast, she immediately realized what her master wanted. She resolutely shook her head, indicating that she was unable to comply with his request.

Idan frowned. He had high hopes for Coco.

Suddenly, Coco jumped onto Idanʼs lap and settled herself comfortably.

While Idan was trying to figure out what she was up to, he felt a familiar feeling that he had experienced in the morning. Idan realized that physical contact was necessary to activate Cocoʼs ability.

On the one hand, Idan was pleased, but on the other, he was worried about her.

”Coco, Iʼm going to work on my bloodline. I donʼt know what might happen, so if something goes wrong, run away right away, okay?” warned Idan. After Coco nodded, Idan turned his attention to Ned.

”You too, Ned, stay a little further away from me for safety and patrol the area. Donʼt let anyone bother me. And by the way, change your appearance, many people here can recognize mine!”

Ned immediately nodded and transformed into a black fox, one of the beasts of the Forest of Doppelgangers. He then rushed away to explore the surroundings. Nedʼs choice for the black foxʼs appearance was due to a slight jealousy of Coco, seeing how his master treats this little fox so carefully.

Idan just shook his head at Nedʼs action. Through the contract, he felt Nedʼs jealousy of Coco. Who would have thought that the crazy ”Perfect Doppelganger” from the Forest of Doppelgangers also craves attention and affection?

Idan decided to let Ned out more often and, perhaps, give him more freedom of action so that he would not feel constantly trapped inside the ”Star”.

Having finally settled all his affairs and feeling his mind calm down under the influence of Cocoʼs ability, Idan decided to start dealing with his bloodline.

It was difficult for him to describe this feeling. The bloodline had already become a part of him, but it did not obey him, but resisted and even influenced him.

Idan realized that the longer he delayed making a decision, the stronger and more independent this resistance became.

He remembered the Systemʼs warning that if he failed, he might have a second identity related to his bloodline. This personality will constantly attack and resist, and in the worst case, Idan himself may become the one who will be absorbed and replaced.
