Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!

Chapter 231: An attack of jealousy

The first ascension trial opened up the possibility for Idan and Arabel to gain the ”Bloodlines” function associated with the ”Supreme Bloodline System”. Thanks to this, they were able to keep their human bloodline as the main one and receive the auxiliary one obtained after taking the potion.

As they realized, without this function, they would have irretrievably lost their human bloodline, replacing it with a bloodline derived from potions.

However, as the saying goes, ”a fly in the ointment,” their first ascension trial also had a drawback related to memories. It was because of their memory problems that Idan and Arabel couldnʼt fully master their newfound bloodlines.

Currently, Idan has managed to deal with this, while Arabel has yet to do so.

But before they could fully resolve the problems that arose after the first ascension trial, the System invited them to take the second ascension trial. That for which the couple had to pass the trial of the Energy of Madness, which Idan absorbed through his auxiliary bloodline and brought this energy back to their home world.

After successfully completing the second ascension trial, the couple had trouble memories again. This time, the System decided to completely erase them.

Idan decided to ask the System a question: ”System, what specific results did we get from passing the ascension test, besides the extra stats?”

[Hosts, both of you have successfully completed the second ascension trial.]

[As a result, both of you were able to adapt to the Energy of Madness and even gained the ability to manipulate it.]

[System strongly recommends that you refrain from attempting to use the Energy of Madness until you have fully recovered from your injuries during the trial.]

[Besides, your mental ability has been tempered. However, in your current state, given the removal of memories, it is difficult for you to assess how much your mental strength has increased.]

[You donʼt have to worry about that at this stage. As you level up, youʼll be able to assess how much your mental abilities have improved and what their limits are.]

Idan, after listening to the explanation of the System, frowned. However, before he could ask his question, something distracted his attention and he forgot what he wanted to ask. No matter how hard he tried, he couldnʼt remember.

While Idan was trying to figure out what had happened, Coco entered the tent. Behind her, the head of a dark fox appeared at the entrance, stealthily watching what was happening inside.

Coco immediately approached Idan and began to stretch out her paws.

Confused, Idan looked at Coco and asked:

”What?” and immediately used a mental link with her.

”Pay! Pay!” a voice resembling that of a little girl demanding payment was heard.

”Havenʼt I already paid you?” asked Idan, puzzled. He was sure that he had given the payment yesterday.

”Coco is demanding a new fee for a new request, Dan, — Arabel decided to explain.

Arabelʼs words explained to Idan that Coco wanted to get the candy before approaching Arabel, realizing that as soon as she approached her, Arabel would grab and hug her again.

”This little girl has a great mind when it comes to sweets,” Idan thought, marveling at her abilities. He took out one candy and handed it to Coco.

Coco happily took the candy and went to Arabel. As she expected, Arabel grabbed her and hugged her.

Cocoʼs intervention completely confused Idan.

Seeing that the little fox had not been driven away, Ned in the form of a dark fox slowly entered the tent, trying not to attract attention. But no matter how hard he tried, this act of his did not escape the attention of Idan and Arabel.

”Come here, Ned, — Idan called, and when Ned heard his name, he immediately became active and rushed at the Master.

”Hey, hey! Wait a minute! Ouch!” exclaimed Idan, feeling pain all over his body from the sudden attack. After all, Ned was not a simple beast, but a beast of the ”Golden” rank, just like Idan himself.

Calming down, Ned lay down next to Idan and began to look at him with his eyes, as if demanding that he stroke him.

Arabel watched the scene in amazement.

Idan did not refuse and began to pull Nedʼs fur, stroking him at the same time. Ned, closing his eyes, began to purr with pleasure.

Arabel felt a strange feeling when she saw this. For some reason, she started to get jealous.

Even under the calming effect of Cocoʼs ability, Arabel somehow felt the urge to strangle this black fox.

It was only thanks to her willpower and Cocoʼs help that Arabel restrained herself and did not lash out at Ned.

Closing her eyes and pressing her face against Cocoʼs soft fur, she began to mentally scream, trying to calm down and get rid of the crazy thoughts that were spinning in her head.

Along with the desire to strangle the fox, the strangest images appeared in her mind, which went beyond the limits of what was possible. It made her feel dizzy, and blood began to flow from her nose.

”Fuck!” Arabel exclaimed, unable to stand it, attracting the attention of everyone in the tent.

Cocoʼs fur was soaked in blood, and Arabelʼs eyes, red with anger, stared at Idan and Ned.

Arabelʼs eyes flashed with an irresistible desire to kill, which sent shivers through Idan and Ned.

Idan, realizing that the situation was taking a dangerous turn, hurried to recall Ned back to his star.

He could not have imagined that the side effect of the Energy of Madness would cause Arabel to feel so strongly jealous of Ned.

Idan himself felt a little strange when he stroked Ned, and it was difficult for him to figure out how to relate to this being.

Back in Limbo, Idan had noticed Arabelʼs possessive tendencies, but they werenʼt as pronounced then. Even before the start of the second ascension trial, Idan had clearly heard her say that he belonged only to her.

However, now, after the trial, under the side effect of the Energy of Madness, this possessive nature seems to have gotten out of control.

Idan realized that he needed to rid Arabel of this side effect as soon as possible. This was important not only for Ned, but also for his own safety.
