Chapter 230: Bloodline - Alpha of Fire - (auxiliary)

”Leave us alone,” Idan said to Ned, who, although somewhat displeased, nevertheless got up and reluctantly left the tent, leaving his master and his partner alone.

With Ned gone, Idanʼs full attention shifted to Arabel, who was already awake, but for some reason in no hurry to get up.

”Good morning, — Idan said, meeting her gaze.

”You too, Dan, — Arabel replied.

”How are you feeling?” asked Idan.

”Itʼs hard to say...” Arabel couldnʼt say for sure if she was okay. ”The side effect seems to have passed? But hereʼs the body... Ouch!”

Despite the full rest, Arabelʼs body still felt a nagging pain, although not as much as yesterday.

When Idan woke up, he immediately realized that his body had not fully recovered yet. According to his calculations, it will take several more days for a complete healing.

”Take your time, get some rest,” he advised Arabel.

Arabel didnʼt answer, but Idan guessed from her demeanor that she wasnʼt going to get up yet. He didnʼt believe her words that the side effect of the Madness Energy had disappeared.

Idan could not imagine that something like this could pass without a trace. Most likely, the calming effect of Cocoʼs ability has not ended yet, and Arabel is still feeling fine. It is unlikely that this effect will manifest itself without special reasons.

Leaving Arabel to rest, Idan returned to checking the remaining System functions.

Bloodline (+)

> _Slot_2_unavailable

As expected, as Idanʼs level increased, his main human bloodline moved to a new rank and became ”Golden”. However, the rank of the Alpha of Fire bloodline remained the same.

Looking more closely, Idan noticed a (+) sign that appeared next to the name of the Alpha of Fire bloodline.

When he noticed this and clicked on the sign, an additional window opened.

--------------

Bloodline - Alpha of Fire - (auxiliary)

First Form: Transformation into Alpha of Fire

Rank: Golden

Description: This ability allows the Host to transform into the mysterious and powerful Alpha of Fire race. During the transformation, all the characteristics of the Host become corresponding to the rank of his bloodline, up to the Gold Rank. Understanding and mastery of all fire-related abilities increases by one level.

Second Form: Flame Spirit Transformation

Rank: First Circle

Title: Child of Fire

Description: This is a special form of Flame Spirit. During the transformation, all Hostʼs characteristics increase by 20 percent, and also receive an additional boost, depending on the quality of the Fire Source. In addition, the speed of damage recovery, mana, and stamina of the Host is greatly accelerated, and this speed also depends on the quality of the fire source.

Transformation requirements: Flame Spirit transformation is only available in the form of Alpha of Fire and if there is a Fire Source nearby

--------------

Idan finally gained control of his Alpha of Fire bloodline, and with that, additional information came to him. Now, besides the usual transformation into the Alpha of Fire race, he has a second form — the form of the Flame Spirit.

”Is the First Circle a rank?” wondered Idan. His Alpha of Fire bloodline already possessed the ”Golden” rank, and now how would he deal with this new rank?

[Host, the Flame Spirit form is a special and unique form closely related to your Alpha of Fire bloodline. The basic rank of this form always corresponds to the rank of your bloodline. However, the Flame Spiritʼs own form rank determines how much benefit and advantage the Host receives from the Fire Source during the transformation. The higher the rank, the greater the boost to the Hostʼs basic stats and damage recovery rate, mana, and stamina.]

It was only now that Idan realized what conditions were necessary to transform into the form of a Flame Spirit.

First, Idan must be in the form of an Alpha of Fire. Secondly, he needs a Fire Source.

Idan realized that without this source, he would not be able to take on a second form.

”What is a Fire Source?” he asked the System.

[Host, the Fire Source can be anything that has a significant amount of fire energy. It can be a wildfire, an active volcano, lava, animals of the element of fire, fire stones and everything related to this element. Your Fire Spirit form draws its power from the Fire Source. Therefore, the System does not recommend using this mold without a good fire source. Without it, the Flame Spirit form will draw on the energy of the Host itself to support the transformation.]

”My own energy?” asked Idan. ”What exactly do you mean?”

[Your life force, Host. Without a Fire source, the Flame Spiritʼs form will consume your lifespan.]

Idan was startled to hear this.

Then, after thinking for a while, he just shook his head. Everything seemed too good to be true. And Idan was right: his new form was not without its pitfalls.

Without a good fire source, his new form was practically useless. Moreover, this form was related to his Alpha of Fire bloodline. And as his rank increased, it would become even less effective if he couldnʼt find a way to increase the rank of his bloodline.

”What are you doing?” — Arabel suddenly asked, startling Idan out of his reverie.

”I was checking my Status,” he replied, closing the ”Bloodline” function window and turning his gaze to Arabel.

Meeting his eyes, Arabel felt something inside her begin to stir again, and strange thoughts arise in her head. Arabelʼs face turned red with embarrassment at these thoughts, but she did not look away from Idan, but on the contrary, her gaze became more intense.

Idan felt a little uneasy from that look.

”Have you checked your Status?” he asked Arabel.

”No, not yet,” Arabel replied without looking away.

”You know, it looks like the effect hasnʼt gone away...” Arabel whispered, finally realizing that the side effect of the Madness Energy still hadnʼt left her.

Gathering her strength, Arabel closed her eyes, looked away from Idan and began to do breathing exercises, trying to calm down.

”It looks like that...” Idan agreed with her.

Idan was curious: in addition to the new extra stat of the Energy of Madness, what exactly did they gain after passing the second ascension trial?

The system seemed to be telling them about tempering their mental strength, but for some reason, the System decided to erase all memories of the trial.

Idan couldnʼt understand how their mental strengths could be improved without those very memories.
