Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!

Chapter 240: A conversation with Nemo

[Host, although the baby will not receive a response, you, as the initiator of this situation, will lose your second Star. To terminate the contract, you will have to destroy it, and it will take time and additional resources in the form of soul crystals to restore it.]

Idan, who had already come to other conclusions after hearing Systemʼs response, surprisingly did not feel much surprise.

”Of course, thatʼs how it was supposed to be. If it werenʼt for the fines and other restrictions, I could easily take advantage of this and help Master and the others leave Limbo,” Idan mused.

”Is something wrong?” Arabel remarked, noticing the sudden change in Idanʼs mood.

”Itʼs all right,” Idan replied.

”Letʼs wait until Rizzy wakes up. I donʼt want to interrupt her sleep.”

Nemo and Arabel agreed and nodded.

While waiting for Rizzy to wake up, Arabel and Idan shared with Nemo what happened to them after returning to their world.

The conversation dragged on. Idan and Arabel talked about everything, without missing a single detail.

Coco and Kitty were passionate about their business. Izzy, followed by Rizzy, also soon fell asleep, and the puppet of the ”Nanny” carefully watched both of them, carefully laying them in fancy little beds.

In order not to wake up the two kids, the trio communicated using a mental link.

Their first two days were very busy: they hid their identities, registered with the so-called Awakened Association as Awakened, sold the corpses of the beasts collected in the Forest of Doppelgangers, and went shopping.

”Look, some things from our world...” The couple had smartphones and other things from their own world with them, which they showed Nemo. Although there was no network, all the devices were working, and Nemo was studying these new subjects with great interest, which he had never even heard of before.

Idan and Arabel took turns talking about their adventures.

”Can you imagine, Nemo, how shocked we were when we found out that my sister Irene and Arabelʼs younger brother started dating? But thatʼs not all! She informed us that they already have a son! Do you understand, Nemo? While we were in Limbo, we managed to become uncle and aunt...” — with these words, Idan talked about his meeting with his older sister and what happened in their world during their absence.

”On the same day after meeting my sister, I noticed some changes in my bloodline and decided to try to take control of her. And, to my surprise, I succeeded...” continued Idan, happily talking about his successful attempt.

”Yes, but you scared everyone in the capital at the same time!” Arabel added, recalling how Idanʼs act caused panic among the townspeople. She also thought about losing their bet, and her mood soured from these thoughts.

Nemo was very surprised and glad to hear that his younger comrade had finally solved the bloodline problem.

Then they talked about the second ascension trial, which was related to the Energy of Madness.

”As a result of this trial, Arabel began to experience side effects and from time to time fell into an uncontrollable state.” Arabel became very embarrassed and covered her face. Fortunately, Idan did not tell the details of what she was trying to do during these attacks.

After that, they talked about their seven-day trip north in search of Arabelʼs younger brother. They were happy to finally relax and spend time together.

”And yesterday, when you unlocked the new «Parents» function, Arabel went into another bout of insanity due to some misunderstanding...” Idan told how Arabel, having misunderstood the message from System, lost control of herself, used the pure energy of madness and hurt herself.

”Thatʼs why we stayed late and came a day later,” Idan summed up.

Nemo was very surprised to hear this story.

”Arabel, Iʼm sorry,” Nemo apologized. He did not expect that his act would have such a strong impact on the couple when they were in their own world.

Now Nemo understood why Arabel looked so weak and depressed.

”Nemo, I donʼt blame you for this. Itʼs my own fault that I started doubting Idan and lost control of myself.” Nemo didnʼt know about Arabelʼs problems, so it wasnʼt his fault. If it wasnʼt for the side effect and Arabelʼs inability to deal with it, none of this would have happened.

”Did you choose the Parents function as your first function?” asked Idan, paying attention to the puppet who was carefully caring for the two toddlers, watching them closely.

”Yes,” Nemo replied, ”When two little babies emerged from the cocoons, Kitty and I were in a panic. We didnʼt know what to do until the System announced the unlocking of this feature. The system immediately gave a brief explanation and advised me to activate it, which I did. Immediately after activation, ”she” appeared.”

Nemo thought back to yesterday, when he and Kitty were so scared until the ”Nanny” came to the rescue.

”Sheʼs just amazing! Her skill with babies amazes me. And even though sheʼs a puppet, she doesnʼt seem to get tired and completely immerses herself in her work.” Nemo couldnʼt stop admiring the ”Nanny.”

From Nemoʼs story, even Idan and Arabel realized how amazing a ”Nanny” could be.

Their conversation ended late at night.

Surprisingly, the time of day in both worlds coincided, and since the couple appeared in Junonia in the evening, it was already deep into the night by the end of their conversation.

Deciding to postpone everything for the morning, they parted ways.

As soon as Idan and Arabel entered their rooms, which Nemo had specially rented for them, System finally decided to issue notifications and tasks that System had been postponing all this time.

[Ding! The third task of the World Quest ”Get to Junonia” has been successfully completed!]

[The reward for this achievement is one spin of the random lottery.]

[Ding! The fourth task of the World Quest is available to you — ”Help your Champion conquer all seven impregnable dungeons and reveal their secret.” The completion period is 1 year and 6 months.]

Idan and Arabel were so fascinated by the two cute babies and the conversation with Nemo that they completely forgot about the third task of the World Quest from System.
