Chapter 238  Two babies

Arabel recovered quickly, but to her surprise, there were no side effects.

”No, no, no, not really. Iʼm not your mom,” she said quickly, turning her gaze to Idan to see his reaction. Idan couldnʼt help but laugh.

”Could you explain to us whatʼs going on here? Who is she?” asked Idan, laughing a lot.

Before Nemo could give an answer, a young girl with a baby in her arms came up to Idan and Arabel and bowed to both of them.

”Greetings, Master and Mistress,” the stranger greeted them.

Such an unexpected greeting certainly surprised and confused them both. They immediately looked at Nemo, looking for an explanation, but the answer came from somewhere they hadnʼt expected.

[Hosts, please calm down. This is a ”Nanny” puppet, called by the System using the new ”Parents” function. Her goal is to help take care of your Championʼs children.]

”A puppet!” exclaimed Idan, without taking his eyes off the girl. But no matter how he looked, she didnʼt look like a puppet, but rather like a living person.

Arabel was also surprised by this discovery. However, she was more interested in the systemʼs words about the Championʼs children.

”Nemo... these two babies...” she said, addressing her friend.

Nemo, not knowing what to say, just scratched his head.

At that moment, the second kid, with black hair and red eyes, turned his attention to Idan and Arabel. The couple also did not remain indifferent, gazing at her intently. The babyʼs eyes shone, and they thought they noticed her nose twitching a couple of times, as if she was sniffing at something.

The little one had a bottle with an unknown red liquid in her hands, but after she stared intently at Idan and Arabel, she threw it away and reached out with her small hands to Idan.

The little one had a bottle with an unknown red liquid in her hands, but after she stared intently at Idan and Arabel, she threw it away and reached out with her small hands to Idan.

”Do you want to explain?” Idan and Arabelʼs attention was focused on Nemo.

Nemo, noticing their interest, sighed. Then he lifted the baby in his arms and, showing her to Idan and Arabel, said:

”This baby is Izzy.”

”Huh? Izzy?” — Arabel was confused.

”Wait a minute! Izzy! You mean your spirit?” Idan, unlike Arabel, immediately understood what was being said.

”Yes, thatʼs her,” Nemo confirmed.

”Has Izzy turned into a baby? How?” — Arabel, realizing who this little girl was, couldnʼt believe her ears.

”According to System, this is a natural process of Spirit growth. The first stage is the formation of the Spirit. Then the embryo stage begins, and for this, the spirits choose creatures as their ”parents” and create a symbiotic bond with them. The bond that Izzy and I have had since the beginning.”

Nemo couldnʼt believe that Izzy had chosen him as her parent from the very beginning.

”Second baby, who also turned into a baby, was a strange creature,” Nemo recalled. ”She found me the day after I came out of the dungeon. I think I knew her before I lost my memory, because when she appeared, I immediately felt a strange connection with her.”

All eyes turned to the little girl with red eyes, who was pouting and trying to reach Idan. She looked like she was about to cry.

Idan, unable to withstand her pitiful gaze, held out his hand. The ”Nanny”, seeing this, no doubt handed the baby over to him.

Idan carefully picked up the baby and looked at her. The one who was about to cry immediately perked up and reached out her hands to him. Idan extended his index finger with some interest.

The little girl grabbed his finger tightly, surprising Idan with her strength. And then, unexpectedly pulling Idanʼs finger to her mouth, she suddenly bit him.

”Ouch!” cried Idan, feeling two sharp teeth like fangs sink into his finger, piercing the skin. The little girl greedily started sucking blood from his finger.

”Is she a vampire?” — Idan asked Nemo in surprise, but Nemo just shrugged, unable to explain what was happening.

”Although I had a connection with her, it was different from my connection with Izzy. Maybe itʼs my blood?” mused Nemo, perplexed.

As he knew, the creatures living in this world could only have one contract with another. However, his connection to this tiny but strange creature that appeared the day after he left the dungeon was completely different.

Immediately after its appearance, this creature clung to him and greedily began to drink his blood, almost killing Nemo. With great difficulty, he managed to subdue and separate this creature from himself. Only the presence of a connection stopped Nemo from killing this little creature.

”And a week ago, unexpectedly, System offered us a way to help Izzy and this creature move to the next stage of development, bypassing the current stage,” Nemo continued his story.

”And you agreed?” asked Arabel, looking fondly at little Izzy, who was beginning to seem charming to her.

”Yes, after discussing it with Izzy, I accepted the offer,” Nemo confirmed. ”As a result, Izzy and this creature were encased in a cocoon that somewhat resembled yours.”

These words reminded them of the cocoon they found themselves in during their first ascension trial and the awakening of their bloodlines. And this aroused their keen interest.

”Do you mind if we look at them with the ”Eye of Identification”? — Idan asked, curious about what this ability could show. Before trying to satisfy his curiosity, he decided to ask Nemo for permission.

”Go ahead,” replied Nemo, who was intrigued himself. Although he also had this ability thanks to the pair, for some reason he forgot to use it.

Idan looked at the baby, who stopped greedily drinking his blood, and drank it moderately and slowly, as if enjoying every milliliter. Then he activated the ”Eye of Identification”.

**Identification:**

Name: ____

Race: Vampire / ??? (Hidden)

Age: newborn

Random information: Her soul is a fragment of the soul of a legendary vampire who gained independence.

”Holy shit!” exclaimed Idan, seeing the result of the ”Eye of Identification”.

Arabel, like him, was in amazement when she looked at the information presented in the window.

Nemo, who was watching them, was also speechless.

This was the first time that the ”Eye of Identification” demonstrated such amazing information. And not just one, but two at once.

First, he determined that the baby had two races: one was a vampire, and the other was hidden. Idan and Arabel immediately thought of Nemoʼs race, which was also hidden under the question marks.

”But how is this possible? Do half-breeds or creatures with two bloodlines exist in this world?” asked Idan, still unable to recover from this discovery.

”Can you hear yourself? You have two bloodlines yourself, why are you so surprised?”— although Nemo was amazed when he met this couple, his surprise at the first information about the race was not as strong as the second information.

”But we got this opportunity thanks to System...” and then Idan froze.

Didnʼt Nemo tell them that System was involved in the transformation of these two little girls?

Arabel and Nemo immediately realized that System was most likely to blame for this miracle.
