CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1891: Chapter 1899: Too Terrifying

”Mom, could it be that Jillian’s still young and hasn’t been to the Black Family with us, so she never thought about Jane’s emotional aspect?” Mother Carter sat there somewhat restless, ”If Jillian really did it on purpose, then her intentions would be truly frightening.”

If that’s the case, Mother Carter could hardly recognize her daughter anymore.

In the eyes of Mother Carter, Jillian Carter, this daughter of hers, is a child spoiled rotten but also someone who’s straightforward with her words and actions.

Mother Carter always believed Jillian couldn’t hide her thoughts, so when she heard her husband mention that Jillian wanted to start her own business, Mother Carter felt quite happy inside.

She had always told Jillian that her personality wasn’t suitable for development in the circle, but Jillian wouldn’t listen.

Mother Carter couldn’t bring herself to tell Jillian directly that she doesn’t have the talent for acting. After Jillian’s first web drama was broadcast, both she and her husband genuinely watched each episode closely.

As a senior, Mother Carter really couldn’t find any shining points of Jillian as an actor in Jillian’s drama.

Similarly new to acting, Jane Sampson’s first show, Mother Carter didn’t miss a single frame where Jane appeared. Though the role wasn’t big, Mother Carter could see Jane’s leaps in improvement with each appearance. Now, Mother Carter truly believed Jane was a good actor.

Whatever she acts, she becomes.

Mother Carter heard that for the scene with James Carter this time, to experience being blind, Jane walked around the house wearing a blindfold, using her hands to feel and experience a blind person’s life. As a result, during this period, her legs often had bruises from accidental bumps. James Carter also mentioned that in acting, Jane is very strict with herself.

In fact, whatever Jane Sampson sets her mind to, she sets high standards for herself.

This is a habit Jane developed from a young age; she never allows herself to be less than excellent or fall behind others.

It’s the same with learning piano, the same with exams as a child, and now, with acting.

Jane Sampson is a person with talent.

And Jillian Carter is a person without talent.

But Mother Carter doesn’t dare to say this bluntly to Jillian, fearing it would hurt the child’s heart, so hearing Jillian say she wants to leave the industry, start her own business, and even has a complete plan, Mother Carter was genuinely happy.

”You as parents wouldn’t assume the worst in your children. Your dad and I understand you; after all, you raised them right by your side for over twenty years.”

Granny Carter gently shook her head, sighing, ”But, Gwendolyn, people change. Jillian used to be so adorable when she was young. Your dad and I doted on this little lass so much as a child, but the more she grows up, the less she seems like herself. She’s no longer the young girl you remember.”

”Just recently, she was making a fuss about suicide. After waking up, she was driving people out and not letting anyone see her. In just a few days, has she really figured everything out? It’s only you parents who would believe it.”

Grandpa Carter waved his hand and continued, ”After Jane finishes this drama, when both families gather, your mom and I will tell everyone about the will first. This will prevent any disputes in the future.”

Father Carter and Mother Carter didn’t speak anymore; both were lost in the words of the seniors.

They were both shocked and at the same time reflecting on whether their parents were disappointed with Jillian and therefore saw her through tinted lenses, or if outsiders truly see things more clearly?
