CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1880: Chapter 1888: Forgiveness

Jillian Carter waited for a while without getting a reply from Jane Sampson, and then she continued, ”I know it’s unreasonable to ask for your forgiveness after all I’ve done, but you’re daddy and mommy’s biological daughter. Daddy and mommy, including grandpa and grandma, and brother, they all like you and hope you can come home, so, let’s not make things difficult for them, okay?”

”Jillian.” James Carter lowered his voice and chided her softly, ”Say what you need to say, don’t say more. Also, don’t use us to press her, whether she forgives you or not is unrelated to any of us, it’s only up to her.”

After saying this, James Carter stood up, walked over to Jane Sampson, and gently placed his palm on Jane’s shoulder, ”This is between you and Jillian Carter. If you’re upset and don’t want to forgive her, you don’t have to. None of us have the right to criticize you.”

”Of course I forgive, of course I do.” Jane Sampson smiled slightly, turned her head to look at James Carter behind her, and said, ”I don’t want to make daddy and mommy feel awkward. I know they want to make it up to me and that they care about me too. Jillian Carter replaced me in taking care of my family for over 20 years. For that alone, she’s already apologized to me, and I won’t hold it against her anymore.”

Jane Sampson tugged on the hem of James Carter’s coat, her smile was brilliant, ”Brother, I hope our family can be harmonious too, so the past, I can let it go. In the future, our family will be happy and united.”

”Brother, just like Jillian, I also wish you all happiness, so saying ’it’s okay’ is something I can still manage to do.” After Jane said this, she looked at Jillian Carter with smiling eyes and deliberately spoke, ”Jillian Carter, it’s okay, let bygones be bygones, and in the future, I hope we can get along well.”

”As long as you’re happy.” James Carter looked at Jane Sampson’s smiling face and also showed a trace of a relaxed smile.

”Well then, since this is the case, to celebrate our reconciliation, I’ll treat you and brother to dinner tonight.” Jillian Carter looked very happy, ”I know there’s a private restaurant not far from here with really good food, so let’s have dinner there tonight, okay?”

”Sure.” Jane Sampson replied faster than James Carter, eagerly agreeing.

Jillian Carter hooked her arm around James Carter’s and acted a bit coy, ”Brother, it’s a deal, I’ll take this chance to hang around here for two days. Brother, you and Jane be busy, I’ll send you the location via WhatsApp later. Oh, and brother, Jane is part of our family now, remember to add Jane Sampson to our family group on WhatsApp! Don’t forget.”

Jillian Carter shook her mobile phone in front of Jane Sampson and said, ”Our house has two WhatsApp groups, one is just for our immediate family, and the other is for the entire Carter family and relatives, remember to join the groups.”

Like she’d finally settled a matter of concern, Jillian Carter happily left.

After Jillian walked away, James Carter said, ”Jillian still doesn’t know grandpa and grandma later set up a new group. Some time ago, Jillian’s emotions were unstable, so the family didn’t tell her, nor did they dare let her find out.”

Jane Sampson already had a group in her WhatsApp, and it included Father Carter, Mother Carter, Old Sir Carter, and Granny Carter, and also James Carter.
