CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1879: Chapter 1887: Peaceful Coexistence

”Mr. Carter.” Jane Sampson stood up and waved her hand towards James Carter.

James Carter hadn’t been in the same shooting team with her for a few days. Jane Sampson’s scenes were rather scattered over these few days, mostly with supporting roles, so James Carter had walked quite a distance from over there.

The weather is gradually getting cooler now. James Carter draped a coat over himself, making him look much thinner than usual.

”Jillian came to visit the set, she said she wanted to see you, so I specifically brought her to find you.” James Carter shifted to the side, making enough space for Jillian Carter to stand.

”Sit.” Jane Sampson brought chairs for them and chatted with James Carter, ”Mr. Carter, you should have a pretty big workload today, right? I’ll have some leisure time these two days.”

”It’s alright.” After sitting down on the chair Jane Sampson had brought, James Carter lifted his gaze to look over at Jillian Carter.

Jillian Carter stood in her original spot, not moving, showing no intention of sitting down.

”Didn’t you just say you had something to tell Jane Sampson?” James Carter asked.

Jillian Carter’s eyes moved slightly, she remained silent for quite a while before she responded with a hum, still standing there without intending to move.

Just when Jane Sampson thought Jillian Carter was about to stand there like a stump, Jillian Carter slowly spoke, calling out her name once, ”Jane Sampson...”

Jillian Carter bit her lips, ”I came today, actually to say a personal sorry to you. Regarding the previous matter, I’m very sorry for causing you a lot of trouble, I hope you can forgive my past ignorance and reckless behavior.”

Saying this, Jillian Carter finally sat down beside James Carter, laughing at herself, ”Before, I was arrogantly invincible, always looking down on you. Now thinking about it, how ridiculous. Everything I had originally belonged to you. I occupied your identity as the Carter family’s heiress, using all that belonged to you, resources and connections, and then turned those against you.”

”Moreover, every time, I ended up in a mess myself.” Jillian Carter lowered her gaze, her eyes fell on Jane Sampson’s feet wearing little white shoes.

Jane Sampson has always been good-looking, wearing her role’s everyday costumes, Jane Sampson looked like a little girl from the neighboring family, fresh and lovely.

Revisiting Jane Sampson, Jillian Carter couldn’t help but admit that Jane Sampson indeed bore a resemblance to the Carter family.

Her appearance really bore a likeness to the Carter family members.

No wonder when Jane Sampson debuted, and she stood together with James Carter, people on the internet spread rumors saying they looked like husband and wife.

It turned out that the connection between them was not as a couple but as blood relatives, a kinship that could never be severed.

”Jane Sampson, I’m sorry. Thinking about what I did before, I don’t know how I should see myself now. Looking back, I was really silly and stupid, with a bad heart.” Jillian Carter’s gaze turned to Jane Sampson’s face, ”I apologize to you, I hope we can coexist peacefully in the future, is that okay?”

Jane Sampson furrowed her brows slightly, quite surprised that Jillian Carter had apologized to her twice in person.

She carefully discerned Jillian Carter’s expression on her face, trying to tell how much sincerity was in Jillian Carter’s eyes when she said sorry.

However, perhaps Jillian truly felt she was wrong, or perhaps Jillian Carter exerted all her life’s acting skills at this moment, Jane Sampson couldn’t pick out any flaws.
