CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1860: Chapter 1868: Give a Little More Time

”I’m here to see you siblings and also to discuss something with Jane.” Mother Carter smiled at her son and then took Jane Sampson’s hand, saying, ”Your dad and I have discussed and decided to redo the room next to your brother’s bedroom to be your room. What do you think?”

”My room?” Jane Sampson smiled, nodding repeatedly, ”Being right next to Brother, huh? Sounds great! When I was little, I was also next to Peter Gingery’s room at the Black Residence. Sometimes at night, I couldn’t sleep, and I would wake him up to chat with me by the window!”

”So naughty~” Mother Carter was amused by Jane Sampson, ”You’re so grown up now, let’s see if your brother will still humor you.”

At this, Mother Carter mentioned, ”Jillian has already moved her stuff out. The room is vacant, and she said it’s yours if you want it. If you prefer her room, you can have someone redecorate and redesign it.”

”No need, staying next to Brother is just fine.” Jane Sampson shook her head, ”Let her keep her room, I don’t intend to snatch anything from her.”

After all, it’s just a room. What Jane Sampson cared about wasn’t these external things, but rather the people who lived in the house.

Moreover, Jane Sampson knew she was already married and probably wouldn’t stay long at the Carter Family home.

Given James Black’s habit of wanting to whisk her away to the guard team whenever she’s around, having two or three days a year at the Carter Family’s would be nice enough.

Hearing that dad and mom were already preparing a room for her hoping she would come home to stay, Jane Sampson was quite happy.

”Jillian moved out?” James Carter was slightly surprised.

”Yeah, she and Joseph Shaw took everything yesterday, saying that after Jane gets adjusted, they’ll see when to move back.” Mother Carter looked at Jane Sampson and then said, ”Knowing I was coming today, she even asked me to check with you if you’d allow her to visit you at the film crew when she has time. She wants to apologize in person for all the wrongs she did before.”

”Did Jillian say that herself?” James Carter was perplexed. With his understanding of this sister, he didn’t think Jillian Carter would be such an easygoing person.

Jane Sampson’s return seemed like an invasion to Jillian Carter. From Jillian Carter’s act of attempting suicide, it appeared she subconsciously viewed Jane Sampson as a loathed intruder.

”Yes, she said it in person when moving her stuff yesterday. Knowing I was coming in the morning, she specifically asked on the phone.” Mother Carter said, ”However, I didn’t give Jane’s answer. I told her to wait until Jane finishes her busy period.”

”Well, it’s better to give her more time to accept this reality.” James Carter finally relaxed, as he didn’t quite approve of Jillian visiting Jane Sampson at the film crew.

Jane Sampson being the Carter Family’s biological daughter was more easily acceptable to Jane Sampson because she was the one gaining, receiving many family members she’d always hoped for, so she could easily embrace this reality.

However, for Jillian Carter, she was the one who lost, thus she wouldn’t easily accept this reality.

This is a process of psychological change which is quite understandable.

Therefore, James Carter never really blamed Jillian for doing something as extreme as slashing her wrists.
