CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1890: Chapter 1898: Growing More Scheming

”Jane is our Carter Family’s biological daughter, she hasn’t even truly returned to the family yet, what does Jillian mean by this? Talking about money right in front of Jane, do you see anything wrong with this?”

”Think about it, if you were Jane, listening to Jillian and James talking about how the family spoils her, giving her loads of money at a whim, letting her spend as she likes, letting her start a business, what kind of life did Jane lead at the Sampton Family when she was little? How would Jane feel listening to what Jillian said?”

”It’s not that Jane is eyeing the Carter Family’s money, but Jillian’s approach is simply provoking Jane, do you understand?” said Grandma Carter, ”And you say Jillian is sensible? Yes, she’s sensible all right, I think she’s becoming more cunning!”

”We haven’t experienced the life of relying on others, so, we are not Jane,” said Old Sir Carter. ”When you were in the Black Family, did Elder Black ever say something to you that you’ve forgotten?”

”Elder Black told you, Jane didn’t have a smooth life growing up, the little lass is the kind of girl who keeps everything inside, not letting anyone know, she’s also extremely sensitive, so, when you think about Jillian saying these things in front of Jane, what is her real intention?” said Old Sir Carter. ”Jane is not Jillian, raised pampered at home when she was young, you can’t take care of Jane the way you take care of Jillian, understand?”

”Elder Black said, if you want to care for Jane, you must do it with your heart, not half-heartedly. Jane is most afraid of what? She’s most afraid of gaining, and then losing it again. For her, it’s better not to give her at all, just like how the Sampton Family treated her. Jillian saying these things in front of her is nothing but to show Jane that even if Jillian isn’t the Carter Family’s biological daughter, but the way you care for her is the same as always, also telling Jane that Carter Family’s stuff is at Jillian’s fingertips for the taking.”

Grandma Carter, saying this, was so angry that her eyes were red, ”I don’t care how you all support Jillian, whether she truly wants to start a business, or just using it as a pretense to provoke Jane. I’m saying this today, my stuff, when I’m gone, will be split in half between James and Jane, not a single bit for Jillian!”

”I agree with your mother’s thoughts,” Old Sir Carter nodded.

”When your mother and I are gone, our inheritance will be split equally in half between James and Jane, nothing to do with Jillian. Our Carter Family raised her, provided her with a substantial dowry for her grand wedding, we have nothing against her.”

When Jillian got married, she truly left with an impressive dowry.

Grandpa Carter and Grandma Carter, despite not being fond of this granddaughter, still, since she’s marrying the satisfactory Joseph Shaw, they gave Jillian a considerable amount of assets as her dowry.

And Father Carter and Mother Carter, don’t even mention them.

Even James Carter, as her brother, gave Jillian, his sister, tens of millions as a wedding gift.

All of these were Jillian’s premarital assets.

”Although technically, since she’s a daughter, and upon marriage, she was bestowed with immovable property, if she truly wants to start a business, she could just sell something, and there’s her startup funding, right? If she were truly sensible, why would she choose this time to make such a big deal in front of Jane about these matters?”

Grandma Carter patted Mother Carter’s hand, ”Our Carter Family’s raised daughter, her little tricks are becoming more considerable.”
