CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1837: Chapter 1845: You Yield

Father and Mother Carter exchanged a glance, then nodded.

”Jillian, Joseph, have a seat. Just in time, there’s something very important we need to talk about with you in the house.”

Father Carter pointed to the seat next to him, and after Joseph led Jillian to sit down, Father Carter slowly began to speak, ”It’s concerning Jillian. We only found out about this yesterday.”

”What is it?” Jillian’s heart skipped a beat, could it be that Jane Sampson really complained?

Father Carter sat there looking at the daughter he had pampered for over 20 years, watched grow up, and personally gave away in marriage. At that moment, he was unsure how to begin.

But it was Old Madam Carter who had fewer scruples, ”Your daddy is afraid of making you upset and is embarrassed to tell you, so I’ll be the old woman to tell you.”

Old Madam Carter didn’t give Jillian time to react and said directly, ”Jillian, you are not a biological child of the Carter Family. When your mother gave birth in the hospital back then, the hospital nurse mixed up the babies. Jane Sampson is actually our real daughter, this is a fact, your brother personally conducted an identification with Jane Sampson and your mother, it can’t be wrong.”

”You’ve always been very attentive to Jane Sampson, so regarding the relationship between Jane Sampson and the Sampson Family, and her younger brother helping her look for her biological parents, you surely know more than we do.” Granny Carter spoke frankly, ”Back then, there were three parturients in the delivery room, one was Jane Sampson’s foster mother, one is your current mother, and the other one is your biological mother.”

”The nurse was negligent, Jane Sampson was sent to the Sampson Family, Julie Sampson was sent to the Chip Family, and you were sent to our house. Incredibly, not a single child grew up with their biological mother by their side.” Old Sir Carter said, ”Julie Sampson’s foster parents are actually your biological parents. After finding out about this last night, we had someone investigate the Chip Family, which is your biological family.”

”The Chip Family are rural people from the countryside in Capital Province, with a preference for boys over girls. Your biological parents, they have a younger brother, the same father and mother, not much younger than you, but the whole family indulges in laziness and greed. After Julie returned to the Sampson Family, they even tried every means to extort money from the Sampson Family, trying to get money from Julie.”

Father Carter couldn’t hide his disgust when mentioning this Chip Family, ”Julie had a miserable time with the Chip Family, was forced to drop out of middle school to work and support the family, and buy toys for her brother, eat well, and dress well. Almost all of her initial wages from working were taken by the Chip Family, who were incredibly greedy. Hence, we don’t plan to tell the Chip Family that their biological daughter is with us.”

After Father Carter finished speaking, Granny Carter continued, ”Of course, if you want to recognize your biological parents, we won’t stop you.”

Mother Carter worried that Jillian might not be able to accept this for a moment, so she switched seats to sit by Jillian’s side, ”Jillian, this was discussed with your daddy. Although you are not our biological child, we raised you, and in our hearts, there is no difference from being our biological child. Given how the Chip Family is like, your daddy and I hope you don’t go back to them.”

”However, let me make it clear in advance,” Old Sir Carter looked over at Joseph, ”Jane Sampson is the real daughter of the Carter Family, and we certainly need to acknowledge her back. In the future in the Carter Family, I hope you can coexist peacefully with Jane Sampson. Otherwise, if you can’t, I will require you to give precedence to Jane Sampson.”
