CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1808: Chapter 1816: No Leads to Follow

The minor hospital was abandoned, and the information in the Archive Room was not well kept. Scavengers pried it open and sold everything as waste paper. It wasn’t discovered until much later.

All the archives could not be retrieved.

And the nurse who knew about it back then also passed away early due to an accident later on.

The veteran doctor had a severe illness that couldn’t be cured and retired from the hospital. So when he saw Julie, knowing how hard it was for her to live with the parents who took her home by mistake, the old doctor decided to take Julie back to the Sampson Family to be recognized as their kin.

After the DNA test, Julie returned to the Sampson Family, transforming from a village girl to the miss of the Sampson Family.

Meanwhile, a genetic test was also done for Jane Sampson and the Chip Family’s couple, confirming that Jane wasn’t their child.

And the Sampson Family searched for the dean of that small hospital for Jane Sampson’s sake.

The mysterious parturient’s relative had called the dean, so at that time, everyone thought the dean might know something about Jane Sampson’s biological mother.

Unfortunately, by the time Jane Sampson was born, the dean was already nearing sixty.

When the Sampson Family went through many connections to find the old dean, they discovered he had suffered from senile dementia for many years. Not to mention Jane Sampson, he couldn’t even recognize his own children.

Therefore, it’s not that the Sampson Family didn’t try to find Jane Sampson’s parents, but rather they simply couldn’t.

Julie returned to the Sampson Family less than three months before the veteran doctor also passed away from his illness.

The old dean had also died several years prior.

This means that everyone who knew anything about the few parturients in the delivery room at that time was gone.

James Black knew Jane Sampson wanted to find her parents, but Jane Sampson didn’t speak openly about it. James Black understood Jane was stubborn yet sensitive, so he didn’t point it out bluntly.

But he also wanted to help her find them in private.

However, once he investigated these matters, James Black realized it was too difficult.

This was almost an impossible task to start with.

That’s why he said, Julie returning to the Sampson Family was really a stroke of luck, as she ended up becoming a little nanny at the old doctor’s home to make money just when she needed it.

Otherwise, if Julie had been just a few months later, she would never have been able to return to the Sampson Family.

This secret would have been taken to the grave with the old doctor forever.

If nothing unexpected happened, the fact that Jane Sampson was not the daughter of the Sampson Family might have remained undiscovered her entire lifetime.

Because Jane just happened to be type O blood.

And Mother Sampton was also type O blood.

In James Black’s arms, Jane Sampson gradually stopped crying.

His broad palm gently patted the back of her head, saying nothing, tightly holding her, comforting her.

After a long while, she rasped in response to James Black.

”Okay.”

Then, she pressed her face against his chest, listening to his strong heartbeat. She didn’t speak again or continue to cry.

The summer night’s wind blew over their bodies, cool and comfortable.

Jane Sampson, exhausted from crying, neither she nor James Black knew when she fell asleep in his arms.

After an unknown period of time, James Black looked down at the person in his arms and realized she was asleep.

Gently putting her down, James Black fastened her seatbelt, then started the car, drove home, and carried her into the elevator, then carried her home.

Whether from emotional or physical exhaustion, she slept soundly. She didn’t wake up even when James Black changed her pajamas and wiped the makeup off her face with wet wipes.
