CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1829: Chapter 1837: I Am Your Mother

”Jane, I’m sorry, I couldn’t recognize my own biological daughter at a glance.” Mother Carter apologized repeatedly.

The more she learned about the things between Jane Sampson and the Sampton Family, the more guilt Mother Carter felt.

”Teacher Yang, you...” Jane Sampson stood frozen there, not knowing what to do with her hands and feet, her body stiff in Teacher Yang’s embrace, unsure how to react.

”Child, I am your mother, not your Teacher Yang.” Mother Carter cried out in pain, ”I am your mother, I’m your mother, Jane, my daughter, my child.”

Mother Carter’s cries and those sorrowful words left Jane Sampson in a daze, stunned and speechless.

”Mr. Carter~” Jane Sampson looked at James Carter in a panic, at a loss for what to do.

”Jane, from now on, call me Brother.” James Carter’s eyes reddened, ”Jane, the family you are looking for is none other than us.”

Jane Sampson gently bit her lips, ”Mr. Carter, are you lying to me because you care? Actually, I’m really okay.”

”I’m not lying to you,” Father Carter quickly explained, ”Jane, we truly are your family.”

James Carter nodded, ”Today, when I got in the car, I secretly plucked your hair and mother’s hair to do a paternity test. I hurried home after getting off the airplane because the paternity test results were out, and I was eager to tell the family about it.”

James Carter apologized, ”Sorry, I plucked your hair without your consent and caused you pain.”

James Carter once again opened the paternity test report on the mobile phone and handed it to Jane Sampson, ”This is the paternity test report for you and mother, sufficient to prove that you are mother and daughter.”

Only then did Mother Carter wipe away her tears, trying hard to make her voice sound clearer.

”In the past, when I was pregnant with you, I went on a business trip to Capital Province. During that period, your dad had just completed a mission. A fugitive threatened to take revenge on your dad, so when I was on a business trip to Capital Province, your dad arranged a lot of subordinates to protect me and your brother,” Mother Carter sobbed.

Seeing Mother Carter’s emotions difficult to calm, James Carter spoke up to continue Mother Carter’s words.

”Mom’s early birth was because it was extremely cold in Capital Province back then. She accidentally slipped and was sent to the nearest hospital. Since the team had a special status, and it was a sensitive period at that time, mom was hospitalized without leaving any records to avoid exposing our identity.”

”The fire in the delivery room in the past was because a few days ago the hospital admitted a woman who died in childbirth. The relatives were emotional, blaming the hospital for the responsibility and set fire to the delivery room as revenge, which caused a series of chaos. To ensure our safety, mother was hurriedly transferred to another hospital shortly after giving birth to you,” James Carter paused.

”At that time, we didn’t know the child was mistakenly switched by the nurse. We took Jillian, thinking she was you, and transferred to the Maternity Department of the Military General Hospital.”

For so many years, no one in the Carter Family even thought that Jillian Carter was not their child.

No one expected that the nurse in that minor hospital would be so careless to even switch the children.

So even though Father Carter encountered Jane Sampson countless times, and heard from many people that Jane Sampson resembled him a bit, he never considered Jane Sampson to be his biological daughter.

After all, in this world, there are many people who look alike.

This was an interesting coincidence.

If it weren’t for James Carter speaking up.

Perhaps, the Carter Family, would have never discovered that Jane Sampson was the biological daughter they failed to protect in the past.
