CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1678: Chapter 1686: Lucky Star

Fiery Fanny was so excited she almost wanted to jump out of her mobile phone to give Jane Sampson a hug, ”This is the first time I’ve encountered such an urgent buyer. They said the company’s Legal Department would draft the contract tonight, and they plan to meet at your studio tomorrow afternoon to sign it together.”

Fiery Fanny said, ”Jane Sampson, I absolutely adore you! We’ve just passed the New Year, and you’ve already brought me such a lucky start. Oh my, you really are my lucky star! A lucky star indeed!”

Initially, Fiery Fanny thought the TV script had only brought her this good friend Jane Sampson. But unexpectedly, this good friend turned out to be her financial benefactor.

”So quick?” Jane Sampson knew that Swan Goose Entertainment was a bit anxious to beat the TV series to the punch, but she didn’t expect it to be this urgent.

Although it was said that this was an idea from the president of Swan Goose Entertainment, Jane Sampson knew in her heart that it was mainly Brooke Black wanting to help her out.

After all, Black Corp held quite a few shares in Swan Goose Entertainment.

In Swan Goose Entertainment, Brooke Black definitely had a say.

”The movie rights sold for seven million, the anime for three hundred thousand, and I’ll personally write the screenplay for the movie, with an additional script fee. Jane Sampson, I’ve hit the jackpot! Next time we meet, I must treat you to a super expensive meal, one that costs over a hundred per person!” Fiery Fanny beamed with joy.

The other party told her that after the contract was signed, they’d pay her half of the money directly, and the remaining half would be sent with the script fee in one go when she delivers the script.

”A hundred bucks, is that your idea of a super expensive meal?” Jane Sampson sneered jokingly, ”It has to be over a thousand and one bucks, otherwise, you won’t be able to invite this big star of mine!”

”Alright~” Fiery Fanny agreed readily, as she was just teasing Jane Sampson, ”I’ll start brainstorming the script tonight, and after we sign the contract tomorrow, I’ll go into seclusion. When I come out and enter the filming set, we’ll have that feast!”

”Let me tell you, I’ve really hit the jackpot this time. The last time I signed the TV adaptation rights, it was through the company. Although I had the full rights in my own hands, it was the company that found the buyer, and I had to split the money fifty-fifty with the company. This time, I’ve skipped the company directly. All the money, after taxes, belongs to me, Fiery Fanny!”

”You’re amazing, my Fiery Fanny~” Jane Sampson congratulated repeatedly.

”I’ve only told you about this, so keep it secret for now. We won’t tell anyone else. Once my script is done, and I announce the news on Twitter, then we can talk about it.” Fiery Fanny told Jane Sampson.

The reason she told Jane Sampson was purely because of her overwhelming happiness, and she really trusted Jane Sampson’s character.

Feeling the effects of Fiery Fanny’s mood, Jane Sampson was still happily humming a song after she hung up the call.

She looked around and saw James Black had gone into the study, so she trotted into the study as well. She dragged a chair to face James Black, crossed her legs on the chair, and seeing James Black was reviewing documents, she quickly quieted down, playing with her mobile phone without disturbing him.

Jane Sampson coming in was noticed by James Black, who even glanced up at her. But as he was still busy with work, he didn’t speak to her.

Jane Sampson was uncharacteristically quiet, and James Black almost forgot there was another person in the study. When he finally snapped out of it, more than two hours had flown by.
