CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1654: Chapter 1662: Waking Up

After posting the video, Brooke Black posted another tweet.

Black Corp has been supporting the Sampton Clan for more than a decade because of little Jane. Since President Sampton has taken back all the shares of the Sampton Clan from little Jane’s hands, it means that President Sampton no longer values the support from Black Corp, and thus Black Corp has no obligation or reason to continue assisting the Sampton Clan.

Without Black Corp, the Sampton Clan is like a house without a beam, and only then did President Sampton fear that the Sampton Clan would collapse, resorting to the cheap trick of kneeling to force little Jane to take back the shares of the Sampton Clan so that Black Corp would continue to support the Sampton Clan on behalf of little Jane.

I ask President Sampton, at your age, can’t you have some self-respect?

To put it bluntly, from the time Black Corp started supporting your Sampton Clan, your entire Sampton Family was living off little Jane. Your whole family drives luxury cars, lives in villas, and has money to spend, all thanks to little Jane’s blessings.

In my opinion, the biggest luck in your lifetime is probably having little Jane as your former foster daughter.

I’m happy for my little Jane. She finally has nothing to do with your family.

— Brooke Black.

Brooke Black is the Chairman of Black Corp. She almost never tweets, but this time she did, and she gave no face to anyone. Especially not to Father Sampton.

The onlookers first gossiped over Black Corp’s official twitter, and then came over here as well.

Now it’s settled, more people are curious about the relationship between Brooke Black and Jane Sampson. Brooke Black actually tweeted specifically for Jane, and even reprimanded Father Sampton for Jane.

At the hospital, after James Black finished reading Brooke Black’s tweet, he placed the mobile phone on the table.

This matter is resolved.

Granny Sampton’s video played the most crucial role.

At 2 a.m., the on-duty nurse came to measure Jane Sampson’s body temperature again.

Fortunately, Jane Sampson’s body temperature had finally returned to normal.

”Mr. Black, little Jane no longer has a fever. I’ll come back in an hour to take her temperature again. The doctor instructed us to check every hour,” the nurse said softly. ”If little Jane wakes up later, try giving her some water. If she’s hungry, come to the Nurse Station to find us, and we can cook some porridge in the duty room.”

”Alright.” Hearing that Jane Sampson’s fever had finally subsided, James Black felt much more at ease.

After the nurse left, James Black tucked in Jane Sampson’s blanket and gently held her hand, which was bruised from the IV needle. Tomorrow was Granny Sampson’s funeral, and he was worried about her not being well yet, and worried that after she recovered, she would be saddened again facing Granny Sampson’s funeral.

The hospital night was very quiet. The nurse came twice more to take Jane Sampson’s temperature, and Jane Sampson didn’t wake up, nor did her fever return.

However, as dawn approached, the thermometer’s temperature became abnormal again.

”37.8 degrees, why is the fever coming back?” The nurse was almost in tears with anxiety.

As the nurse was going to find the doctor, Jane Sampson slowly opened her eyelids, which felt as heavy as a thousand pounds.

The moment she opened her eyes, her vision was even blurry.

It took a few seconds before her vision slowly cleared up.

”James~” She spoke, and her throat felt as if it had been cut by a blade.

”I’m here.” James Black hurriedly responded, then brought the water cup to Jane Sampson’s lips, ”Drink some water before you speak.”
