CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1660: Chapter 1668 Discharge from Hospital

This is something she never dared to mention, but it’s something she’s always wanted to do.

She also wanted to be a child who has a daddy and mommy.

In the past, she didn’t dare let her grandparents know her thoughts. She was afraid of disappointing them, afraid of seeing a disappointed expression on their faces, and even more afraid of hearing them say she forgot the Sampton Family’s care for her.

The thing she most wanted to do, she had always been doing it secretly, bearing the guilt from the heartland.

And now, grandma told her, ”Jane, go find your biological parents.”

At this moment, the tense string in her heart that had been stretched for a long, long time finally loosened slowly.

Bright Sampton and James Black didn’t know what Granny Sampton wrote to Jane Sampson in the letter. Neither of them asked. Bright thought that maybe, after he went home and read the letter grandma left him, he might guess some of it.

”Sis, don’t cry.” Bright Sampton gently sat down at the bed next to Jane Sampson’s bedside and said, ”You need to get better soon. Seeing you lying on the sickbed, I feel like I’m the one who’s sick.”

”I will get better soon.” Jane Sampson kept nodding.

”Then I’ll go back and sort out grandma’s belongings. By the way, there’s one thing I want to discuss with you.” Bright Sampson was about to leave but then suddenly remembered another important matter.

”The Aunt from grandma’s countryside house, she has no relatives in this world. She has taken care of grandpa and grandma for more than a decade, and she’s been very kind to us. Although grandpa and grandma are gone, I want her to continue living in that courtyard to take care of grandpa and grandma’s house, so she also has a place to retire.”

Bright Sampson said, ”We should also let her temporarily farm grandpa and grandma’s land. We’ll pay her to watch over the courtyard, still paying her according to her previous salary. How about that?”

”Alright.” Jane Sampson nodded, ”Your arrangement is good; grandpa and grandma would also feel gratified.”

Bright Sampson smiled faintly, acknowledged with a sound, and then left the hospital.

After Bright Sampson left, Rock Bell and Quincy Forest all came to the hospital to visit Jane Sampson once. Although Jane Sampson said she would get better soon, her body wasn’t cooperating.

In the following three days, she continued to have recurring fevers, and even after detailed examinations, the cause couldn’t be found.

Fortunately, by the fourth morning, her fever was completely gone.

James Black had been taking care of her for a few days in the hospital, losing quite a bit of weight.

And Jane Sampson had become nothing but skin and bones.

After observing for a day in the hospital, confirming that Jane Sampson had no more fever, the doctor approved her discharge. Leaving the hospital, James Black directly took Jane Sampson to the guard team.

She doesn’t have work now, and even if she did, she wouldn’t be able to go in her condition. James needed to return to the guard team, and he wasn’t comfortable leaving her in anyone else’s care. So, he decided that bringing her back to the guard team where he could see her every day gave him peace of mind.

By the time they returned to the guard team, it was past nine o’clock in the evening. Jane Sampson enjoyed a refreshing bath and then dove directly into the quilt. She felt around in her purse for half a day but couldn’t find her mobile phone, so she called out to James Black, who was in the living room making tea for her.

”Where did you put my mobile phone?” Jane Sampson called out weakly to James Black, ”I haven’t touched it in several days.”

James Black brought in Jane Sampson’s mobile phone and charger from outdoors, sat by her side, and said, ”Before I give it to you, there’s something I need to tell you.”
