Chapter 1595: Chapter 1603: Want an Autograph

The nanny entered the kitchen, and Granny Sampton immediately stood in the living room and called out to Bright Sampton, whose room door was open.

”Your granddaughter is cooking in the kitchen?” Aunt Chip was stunned to hear it, ”Your granddaughter is such a big star, and she’s actually in the kitchen cooking?”

”Of course, when she’s outside she’s a big star, but at home, to me as her grandma, she’s just my granddaughter. She’s really good at culinary skills and just wants to cook a delicious meal for me,” Granny Sampton said with immense pride when talking about Jane Sampson, ”My granddaughter is obedient and well-behaved.”

”Not only is she obedient and well-behaved, but also excellent at everything. She’s good at playing the piano, acting, and even cooking. Your granddaughter is enviable!” Aunt Chip said with a laugh, ”Unlike that girl of ours, who complains about playing the piano, says she can’t do well in exams, and is terrible at cooking. Even so, she absolutely idolizes your granddaughter.”

Granny Sampton was beaming from Aunt Chip’s compliments, and the two elderly sisters were there praising each other’s children until Jane Sampson and Bright Sampton came out one after the other.

”Grandma Chip.” Jane Sampson recognized Aunt Chip and called out to her, ”Have you had a meal yet? If not, would you like to join us for a bit and try my handiwork?”

”No need, my old man is already cooking. You all eat; I won’t intrude. I just came over to get an autograph from you and Bright for my two kids. They like you young siblings very much.” Aunt Chip didn’t take their polite offer seriously.

”An autograph! That’s no problem at all!” Bright Sampton chuckled, ”Wait, I’ll go inside and get some paper and pen!”

”Oh, no need for that. Last time those two kids were here, they left their notebook, and I brought a pen with me too.” Aunt Chip stopped Bright Sampson.

Jane Sampson walked over and sat next to Aunt Chip, taking the paper and pen.

”You two sign one name each on the first and second page of this notebook. I think, if possible, write a sentence encouraging them to study hard. Who knows, the kids admire you, they might actually take your encouragement and strive to improve!” Aunt Chip smiled at the siblings, truly feeling that other people’s children seemed more likable the more she looked.

No matter how you look, they’re great.

Jane Sampson and Bright Sampson agreed.

While Aunt Chip was waiting, she turned and talked to Granny Sampton about the village gossip.

”That girl from the Webster Family planning to build a homestay, I heard from people in the village that it’s not going to happen,” Aunt Chip said.

”What’s going on? In the afternoon I saw her leading people through the village for an inspection in the Peach Orchard,” Granny Sampton was surprised.

”Well, these investors, they have money, but each one still...” Aunt Chip shook her head and clicked her tongue three times, ”Someone in the village heard that the investor said they’re willing to invest in Ms. Webster, but there’s a condition—that Ms. Webster becomes his little sweetheart. As long as Ms. Webster agrees, the investment money would be like her living expenses; she wouldn’t need to repay it, and the homestay would belong solely to her.”

”The whole thing spread all over the village, a group of people are making fun of Ms. Webster. Her parents were furious after hearing it and scolded her, telling her to stop thinking about the homestay and go back to town to work.” Aunt Chip shook her head helplessly, ”These investors really are vile, and those in the village spreading rumors about Ms. Webster talk too much.”
