CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1559: Chapter 1567 Modification

In the following two days, Jane Sampson’s work consisted mainly of moving between the film set and home.

She left home in the morning and returned at about 7 or 8 in the evening.

On Valentine’s Day, it seemed as if every street in the world was emitting the essence of romance.

While taking a break for makeup, Jane Sampson casually scrolled through Twitter and wasn’t too surprised to see the news of Jillian Carter’s marriage.

Oscar Wilson had already informed Jane Sampson that Jillian Carter’s wedding date was finally set for International Valentine’s Day.

After the previous live streaming incident, Jillian Carter had kept a low profile but finally updated her Twitter.

It was a photo of her in a wedding dress with her arm interlinked with James Carter, both siblings smiling broadly at the camera.

In the background of the photo featuring Jane Sampson and James Carter, there was also a man about the same height as James Carter, clad in a military uniform with his back turned to the siblings.

Jillian Carter introduced on Twitter that this figure was her groom.

The internet realm is a place most forgetful, and under Jillian Carter’s post, all the netizens offered their congratulations for her new marriage, while some sharp-eyed netizens delved deeply into explaining the origins and value of the jewelry Jillian Carter wore.

Jane Sampson glanced at the post and exited Twitter, muttering to herself that as long as Jillian Carter no longer harbored thoughts about James Black, considering James Carter’s sake, she’d gladly wish Jillian a happy marriage.

”Sister Jane, the director is calling you.” Lucy Brisk entered from outside and looked at Jane Sampson who was putting on makeup, and said, ”The director asked you to go see him after you’re done with your makeup. He said there’s a change in today’s script he needs to discuss with you.”

”A change?” Jane Sampson paused in surprise.

Fiery Fanny didn’t come to the set today, and Fiery Fanny hadn’t mentioned any changes to her scenes yesterday either.

”Yeah,” Lucy Brisk nodded.

”Alright, I’m almost done here, tell the director to wait for me a while.” Jane Sampson replied.

The makeup artist, noticing Jane Sampson had more to do, sped up her hand movements and let Jane Sampson leave to find the director after about ten minutes.

Jane Sampson was the last to arrive; by the time she got there, most of the leading actors were already present.

”Director.” Jane Sampson called out as she walked over.

”Jane Sampson is here, make some space for her, I’ll explain the changes to her scenes,” the director beckoned to Jane Sampson, then grabbed a copy of the new script from beside him and handed it to Jane, saying, ”This is the freshly revised script, familiarize yourself with it, and note that today’s scenes also have a slight change. Originally, today’s scene involved the female lead saving the male lead, but this will be postponed until the female supporting role arrives before shooting.”

”Why wait for the female supporting role?” Jane Sampson asked in confusion.

”In the new script, the female supporting role has a slight extension in this scene,” the director said, observing Jane Sampson, noticing her slightly furrowed brows, he realized she wasn’t very pleased.

”It just changes the scene from the female lead saving the male lead to the female supporting role assisting the female lead in taking the male lead to the hospital afterward. It doesn’t impact your scenes,” the director reassured Jane Sampson.

Seeing Jane Sampson remain silent, the director assumed she understood and continued, ”I’ve marked the scenes to be shot today in red pen in the script for you. You have one hour to prepare; when it’s your time, I’ll send someone to the makeup room to fetch you.”

After speaking, the director let Jane Sampson go back to rest for now.

Jane Sampson returned to the makeup room, expression unchanged, accompanied by Lucy Brisk. Once seated, she began perusing the new script.
