CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1594: Chapter 1602: So Sensible

”That rascal, really doesn’t know how to take care of his body at all.” Granny Sampton muttered as she turned around and went out.

Entering Bright Sampton’s room, she saw Bright Sampton indeed sitting in front of the computer.

Granny Sampton walked over, stood behind Bright Sampton, and gave him a pat, ”You’ve been sitting here the whole afternoon, get up and move around a bit, aren’t you afraid of going blind staring at the screen?”

”Alright~ Grandma, I’ll listen to you.” Bright Sampton cheerfully replied as he took off his headphones, then sniffed like a dog, ”Is my sister cooking tonight? I seem to smell something particularly spicy.”

”Yes, your sister is cooking.” Granny Sampton smiled, ”So you’ll have a treat tonight, your sister’s culinary skills are even better than Grandma’s.”

”Both Grandma and my sister’s cooking are great, I like them both.” Bright Sampton said as he glanced at the computer screen, checked the group chat, chuckled, maximized the video, and turned to Granny Sampton, ”Grandma, my teammates say you’re very beautiful, they said you must have been very beautiful when you were young.”

At that, Bright Sampton turned his head to the computer and spat dismissively, ”You guys, can you speak properly. I’m telling you, my grandma is still very beautiful now.”

It was then Granny Sampton realized Bright Sampton was video chatting with his teammates, and she stood by Bright Sampton, naturally, his teammates saw her.

A bunch of young lads in the video enthusiastically waved and greeted Granny Sampton, saying hello to her.

Granny Sampton burst into laughter, ”Hello, hello, Bright may have troubled you often in normal times, thank you for taking care of him.”

”Not at all, Granny Sampton, Bright is our teammate. Don’t underestimate him because he’s young, he’s not troublesome at all, very sensible, and very capable!” One of the teammates on the other side of the video kept praising Bright Sampton.

Normally, everyone would engage in some banter in front of Bright Sampton, but in front of the elders, they all tried to behave well.

The nanny called out to Granny Sampton from the doorway, ”Madam, Aunt Chip from next door is here for you, she’s in the living room at the moment.”

”Alright, I’ll head out.” Granny Sampton patted Bright Sampton’s shoulder, waved to the young lads in the video, and then left Bright Sampton’s room.

Aunt Chip was one of Granny Sampton’s good friends in the village, they were about the same age, and the Chip Family was quite decent, not overly flattering just because the Sampton Family was wealthy. As neighbors, they looked after each other.

”Why did you come over at this time? Have you had your meal?” Granny Sampton went out and saw her old friend sitting on the sofa and said, ”I won’t be playing cards with you all tonight, my grandchildren are here to keep me company, I’ll join another day.”

”I knew your grandchildren were coming over to accompany you, the two kids are really filial, so busy yet they make time to be with you.” Aunt Chip waved her hand, ”I came over thick-skinned to ask your grandson and granddaughter for a favor, my grandchildren just love your two grandchildren and have always wanted me to ask for their autographs. Knowing your two filial kids are back today, I rushed over.”

Just worried that if I came late, after dinner, the busy young ones would have to rush back to the city district and I’d miss this chance.

”Autographs, huh, no problem, I’ll call them here.” Granny Sampton nodded, turned to the nanny and said, ”Go to the kitchen and give Jane a hand, tell her to wash up and come out.”
