CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1587: Chapter 1595: Call the Police?

Jane Sampson was thinking in her heart, if Lucy Brisk really went to prison, it would ruin not only Lucy herself but also her parents.

Jane Sampson had heard Lucy making calls with her parents, she would act cute with her mother, saying what she wanted to eat when she came back home from work tonight.

Lucy’s parents really adored her.

Thinking of this, Jane couldn’t bring herself to say the words ”report to the police.”

Lucy was at fault, but her parents were not. Lucy’s mistake would ultimately also have consequences for her parents.

And Lucy was still so young, if this matter spread and she went to prison, her whole life would be bleak.

Even if the amount wasn’t large and the sentence might not be long, perhaps only two or three years, but for girls, going to prison even if you got out after a week would affect her future prospects.

After a long time, Jane Sampson finally spoke softly, ”There’s no need to call the police. Lucy, after you leave, submit your resignation letter to HR yourself.”

Rock Bell was not surprised when she heard Jane Sampson’s response because she knew that Jane was indeed a very soft-hearted and kind person.

”Lucy, you once told me that your parents only have you as their daughter. In the future, whatever you do, I hope you think about your dad and mom at home. When you make mistakes, ultimately, the ones who suffer the most are not only you but also your parents. You are their only daughter, if you destroy yourself, it’s like they are also destroyed. After you leave, I hope you can reflect on how you should live in the future.”

This was the last piece of advice Jane Sampson could give to Lucy.

A person is independent of society but is not detached from any group within society.

Her actions ultimately have an impact that extends beyond her alone.

”Because of this incident, I pity you for being so young and can’t bear to ruin your future, so Sister Tin and I will not tell anyone else. In the company, only Sister Tin and I will know. Going forward, I hope you take care of yourself.” After saying this, Jane Sampson stood up and pulled Lucy to her feet, ”Go write your resignation letter.”

This result was very unexpected for Lucy.

Tears were still falling down her face, but she was utterly shocked.

Realizing it afterward, a sense of guilt immediately flooded her entire heart.

”Sister Jane, Sister Tin, I’m sorry and thank you.” Lucy knew she was so lucky to have met such kind bosses.

After steadying herself, Lucy bowed to Jane Sampson before turning to open the door and leave Rock Bell’s office.

Jane Sampson sighed and sat back on the chair, looking up at the ceiling, and couldn’t help but reflect, ”The human heart truly is a hard thing to fathom.”

”That’s right,” Rock Bell nodded in agreement, ”but watching Lucy bow when she left, it seems she truly realizes her mistake and feels remorse. So, your kindness and forgiveness, perhaps, were not misplaced.”

”Let’s hope so,” Jane Sampson agreed softly.

”You, you are just too soft-hearted,” Rock Bell stood up and hugged Jane Sampson, ”a good girl like you will surely have good fortune.”

Perhaps calling the police and getting a lawyer to bring Lucy to justice would feel very satisfying.

But it would also mean that Lucy would lose the chance to change.

It’s indeed a pity for a young girl, blooming like a flower, to end up like this.
