CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 245: Chapter 253: Shielding

”White... white cut chicken?” Peter Gingery stammered, unsure of what to say next, his mind occupied by a single thought—he was relieved that Jane Sampson hadn’t heard. If Jane knew James Black was talking about her idol and faith like that, she probably would’ve had a showdown with him.

After confirming there were no mistakes, even though the nickname Jane Sampson had made James Black’s eyes hurt, he still sent the friend request.

James Black waited for about one minute, but instead of a response from Jane Sampson, Peter Gingery’s WhatsAPP vibrated with a message from her.

Upon opening the message, it was a screenshot of James Black’s friend request.

Then the text messages followed.

Did James Black really apply for a WhatsAPP ID? — Princess Egg-Yolk.

For real? — Princess Egg-Yolk.

I must have received a fake one, right? — Princess Egg-Yolk.

James Black took a deep breath and then replied to Jane Sampson with a voice message, ”It’s me, please accept it.”

Every two seconds, a long string of exclamation marks came through.

!!!!!!!! — Princess Egg-Yolk.

This showed Jane Sampson’s mood was probably like...

What the hell.

”Brother, can I have my mobile phone back now?” Peter Gingery thought to himself, if he didn’t get his phone back soon, Jane Sampson would probably block him.

Seeing that his friend request was accepted, James Black returned the mobile phone to Peter Gingery, who upon checking, found, sure enough, whatever he feared would happen, happened—Murphy’s Law at its finest.

He had been blocked by Jane Sampson again.

Just two seconds ago.

She must have first accepted James Black’s friend request and then turned around and blocked him.

Caught in the crossfire between two titans.

Peter Gingery thought to himself, feeling aggrieved, what else could he say?

”Brother, if there’s nothing else, I’ll head back now?” Peter Gingery mentally prepared himself to be blocked by Jane Sampson for a week and casually added, ”Brother, could you add my WhatsAPP too? Just scan the QR Code.”

James Black, seeing that James Carter’s wife kept indicating she was typing but no messages from Jane Sampson had come through for a long time, saw Peter Gingery handing over his QR Code and scanned it after exiting the main page.

Without paying much attention, James Black just clicked to add, and Peter Gingery quickly accepted his friend request.

Once the system notification of a new friend came through, James Black paused for two seconds on Peter Gingery’s WhatsAPP nickname, ”Little Protein Prince?”

”Right!” Peter Gingery laughed like a complete idiot, ”This name is super creative, right? Old Sir sometimes calls me that.”

After saying that, Peter Gingery astonishingly realized—he had been blocked by James Black.

Blocked...

What grievance, what grudge?

He got blocked by James Black again, just after a single sentence?

It seems today the couple had agreed to jointly pick on him, hadn’t they?

”Brother? Did I do something wrong?” Peter Gingery covered his little heart and asked.

”The nickname is too ugly, it’s an eyesore on my friends list.” James Black wasn’t stingy pinpointing the reason for Peter Gingery.

”...” You’re the boss, whatever you say is right.

Peter Gingery rubbed the tip of his nose, feeling his brother’s reason was a bit odd, as no one had ever said his nickname was ugly. So, he and Chief Black had a significant disconnection.

After all, when he and Jane Sampson first started using this nickname, even she complimented him, saying it was saucy and very Western.

Peter Gingery hummed silently in his heart and turned to head back to the dormitory.

However, just as he turned around and his left leg took a step, James Black behind him called out to him again.
