CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 219: Chapter 227: Don’t Go

This is the best hotel in the wine market, with king-size bed rooms that are spacious and bright. Standing in front of the window, the view is top-notch. Jane Sampson stood in front of the window for a while, admiring the scenery outside, then took out her mobile phone and seemed to be looking up something. After putting her mobile phone away, she walked over to James Black, her eyes smiling as she looked at him.

”Time for a nap?” James Black asked, puzzled by Jane’s smile, which was extremely flattering.

”I just woke up a while ago, don’t feel like sleeping,” Jane shook her head, her voice filled with laughter, ”May I ask what we have planned for this afternoon?”

James Black moved Jane’s luggage to the corner and then leaned against the table, his hands shoved into his trouser pockets, looking down at Jane who was wearing flat shoes due to his height advantage.

When she asked him a question, her eyes shone brightly at him, her pink lips curved into a slight smile.

”If there is something, you can just say it straight,” James Black raised his hand and rubbed Jane’s head.

The feeling...

Unexpectedly good.

Soft and smooth.

”Let’s go to Tooth Spring this scenic spot this afternoon? I just saw the publicity for this spot by the window and checked it out online, the pictures on the internet are so pretty! We can ride camels, drive desert motorcycles, and Tooth Spring looks incredibly beautiful too, oh, and there’s also what seems to be a reed marsh!”

Jane was so excited, every pore of her body seemed to be screaming, let’s go, let’s go!

Seeing that James Black remained unmoved, standing there watching her, he then uttered three words, ”Not allowed to go.”

Jane immediately exploded, ”We’re already here, and we have the time, why not go?”

Not allowed to go! Why the heck not?

”Your body doesn’t allow it,” James Black said.

”I feel fine, didn’t you see me eat such a big bowl of noodles at noon?” Jane protested, ”I checked, Tooth Spring is not at a high altitude, and the scenic spot is right in the city, not too far away. We can go there this afternoon, have fun, and be back at the hotel afterward.”

Seeing James Black’s eyebrows twist, Jane stealthily moved a few steps towards the doorway, ”If you don’t go, should I go alone? It’s very close, just a short taxi ride away. You can rest in the room, and it’s fine for me to go by myself.”

If James Black still disagreed, Jane decided she would grab her small backpack by her side and quickly run for it.

Whether she could outrun him was another matter, but first, she had to try to run. What if she was lucky and found an elevator as soon as she went out?

If she was unlucky and got caught and brought back, it would be no big deal; James Black wouldn’t hit her, at most she’d get a lecture. And if he nagged endlessly...

She’d pretend to faint.

Jane Sampson silently congratulated herself on her cleverness.

James Black had known what Jane was thinking from the moment she took those supposedly unnoticed small steps, as while speaking to him, her gaze kept darting to her small backpack on the side.

”Let’s go then,” James Black relented.

Not for any particular reason, but simply because Jane really wanted to go, and he could not let her go alone and could not think of any other way for her to spend a joyful afternoon.

James Black thought, since she wanted to go and it was unlikely that she would have the chance to visit the wine market again after returning to Capital Province, he would indulge her this once, and let her return to Capital Province happy.

The change in James Black came abruptly; Jane had already braced herself to run out the door the next second, but then she heard James Black say, ”Let’s go.”

Even when James Black led her out of the hotel, Jane still felt a surreal disconnect with reality.
