I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 783: Chapter 782: This Place Doesn’t Exist

Nanguan Street No. 22?

Beisitian bought a map of Gubei City and started searching with Wei Zhongxun.

”Nanguan Street is here, let me see. It starts with No. 17, 19, these are odd numbers, so they would be on this side, No. 18, 20, 24?” Wei Zhongxun’s voice rose, he put his hand back to the previous position to count again, only to find there was really no No. 22?

”Master, you didn’t hear wrong, there really is no No. 22.” Wei Zhongxun pushed the map towards Beisitian, as it was small, he had verified it earlier.

Beisitian took a closer look and found there was indeed no No. 22, she frowned immediately. Although Bei Jiale seemed a bit rushed, she definitely heard correctly.

Bei Jiale appearing in Gubei City was very odd, judging from her voice, the situation seemed not good at that time, she worried Bei Jiale had encountered something.

Seeing Beisitian’s expression, Wei Zhongxun knew without asking, there must be things unknown in this. Though No. 22 doesn’t appear on the map, it seems it might exist.

This kind of task naturally fell to the lively Wei Zhongxun. He opened the door and saw Desan standing at the door ready to knock, he pulled him along.

Bei Jiale’s voice sounded tense yet calm, without panic. Thus, Beisitian was not overly worried, at least there was still time to find the place.

The two had just gone out when Tan Yujun arrived.

”If you’re looking for Doctor De San, he isn’t here.” Beisitian said with a smile.

Tan Yujun, standing at the door, also smiled slightly, ”I’m here to see you, may I come in to talk?”

Beisitian blinked and gestured ’please’.

After entering, Tan Yujun looked around the room. The living room had a main color scheme of white and dark red, with a touch of English style, not heavy but with a bit of fashion.

Living in such an apartment must cost a lot!

Even though Tan Yujun is a Mystic Doctor and usually doesn’t lack money, living in such a hotel comfortably is difficult, it would definitely hurt.

”Are you here for something?” Beisitian shook the cup in her hand, ”I only have juice now, is that okay?”

Tan Yujun nodded quickly, ”That’s fine, thank you.”

Beisitian poured a glass of juice and placed it in front of Tan Yujun, then sat opposite, waiting for her answer.

Tan Yujun looked at Beisitian, her eyes flickering slightly. That day, after finding her familiar, she had someone inquire about it. Unexpectedly, the person who seemed like a little subordinate was actually a big figure.

”It’s like this, because Doctor De San might not know, I wanted to remind him.”

Beisitian said nothing, she had just claimed not to look for Doctor De San, so it seemed this was to remind her.

”Alright, go ahead.”

Tan Yujun took a sip of juice and said, ”The affair with the missing doctor is something the Association noticed years ago, but these people were particularly mysterious, hard to trace their tracks. Until recently someone sent a message saying those people set up a base in Gubei City...”

Beisitian’s hand paused in action.

”This message was anonymously delivered, we don’t know who sent it. Because of unknown identity and intention, we dare not believe it easily, but only after finding the missing person did we have a preliminary judgment.”

The Association conducted step-by-step investigations and found the message might be true, these people really set up a base in Gubei City. Soon, reports of missing doctors came from various places.

This time they were more rampant than previous years, targeting several large hospitals. Any with good reputation and strong expertise were all ’asked for leave’.

This stirred up a sensation in Gubei Province, alarming higher-ups in the Association. This matter couldn’t be hastily exposed, but neither could it be completely ignored.

Thus, the Association coordinated with higher-ups to organize this consultation, actually meant to show those people, while real actions were taken in secret.

After hearing Tan Yujun’s words, Beisitian realized the Association now knew her identity.

”The Association is telling me this, hoping I will do what?” Beisitian was not one to beat around the bush.

Tan Yujun felt relieved seeing Beisitian so straightforward, she said, ”You needn’t do anything, the higher-ups asked me to inform you.”

Beisitian smiled slightly, nodding, ”I understand, thank you.”

The Association was showing favor, ordinarily such matters wouldn’t be told to her, but knowing her identity, secretly informing her was a sign of respect.

With her task completed, Tan Yujun intended to leave. Although Beisitian was younger, her calm demeanor and composed attitude exerted pressure.

”By the way, do you know Nanguan Street No. 22?” Beisitian suddenly asked.

Tan Yujun nodded, ”I know, but several years ago this place was abolished. No one paid attention to the reason, you wish to go there?”

”Could you help me mark this place?” Beisitian felt like she had searched all over to find nothing, not expecting Tan Yujun knew.

Considering, she was a resident Mystic Doctor, and also a local Mystic Doctor.

Tan Yujun looked at the map, searched, and marked the location between No. 17 and No. 21 on Nanguan Street.

Tan Yujun knew Beisitian wouldn’t casually inquire about a place abolished for years, wanting to ask but fearing impoliteness, she ultimately refrained.

Beisitian said: ”I received information that this place is peculiar, better send someone to explore, but keep it hidden.”

Tan Yujun was exhilarated, the information Beisitian provided must be significant, she nodded and returned to report.

Beisitian recalled Bei Jiale’s words, thus when Wei Zhongxun returned, she decided to go with him.

Wei Zhongxun, having struggled for information, found it was effortlessly obtained by Beisitian inside the room, he felt speechless, thinking he might as well have stayed home and slept.

”Is Doctor De San going?” Beisitian asked.

Desan nodded without hesitation, ”Of course I’m going. If you leave, and I have to pay the room bill, that would bleed me dry!”

Wei Zhongxun rolled his eyes.

Immediately, Beisitian went out with the two. It was about thirty kilometers away, less than an hour without traffic.

The three reached the location, found a small warehouse, but it had been abandoned for a long time, the lock on the door was rusted, clearly untouched for years.

Wei Zhongxun stood on the broken box outside peering inside. Except for the chaotically arranged items, it was empty of people.
