I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 762: Chapter 761: Not Taking It Seriously

Since the other party was able to find this place, it shows at least that they know Qin Xinyu, because she had left an address with Qin Xinyu, but she didn’t expect someone else would come knocking.

”Let them in.” Beisitian said.

Sister-in-law Mo went out to bring them in, while Tian Zhi and Jiang Mingzhong exchanged a look, also feeling quite puzzled.

Not long after, a group of people came in, around three or four, led by a middle-aged man in his forties, who bore some resemblance to Qin Xinyu.

After they entered, the leader sat directly on the sofa and said to Beisitian with a smile, ”You must be Doctor Bei. I am Qin Youwei, the head of the Qin Family. You probably already know that our Qin Family is an affiliate of yours, currently also an affiliate of the Qingyu School. We have come to pledge our allegiance.”

Qin Youwei briefly explained his purpose, and Beisitian remained noncommittal, glancing at the group who had seated themselves without an invitation.

Sister-in-law Mo poured tea for everyone and then left.

”How do you plan to pledge allegiance?” Beisitian asked with a faint smile.

Qin Youwei waved his hand, and the three people behind him immediately opened the small boxes they had brought, revealing stacks of hundred-yuan bills, three small boxes in total, roughly estimated to be over five hundred thousand.

This would be a considerable sum for any family, even some large enterprises.

Seeing the boxes open, the people in the room did not show any expressions of astonishment, which surprised Qin Youwei.

”What do you intend to do with this?” Beisitian glanced at the money, unmoved.

This situation left Qin Youwei a bit embarrassed, and he hurriedly smiled and said, ”This is a token of sincerity from us as your affiliate family, hoping that Doctor Bei will accept it with a smile.”

Sincerity?

The expression they had when opening the boxes didn’t seem sincere but carried a sense of superiority, more like charity.

”Doctor Qin, you’re joking, we at the Qingyu are too small to sustain an affiliate family, you must be looking in the wrong place,” Beisitian said with a smile.

Qin Youwei maintained his smile, his eyes darkening slightly, ”Doctor Bei, matters concerning affiliate families are not for you alone to decide, but are passed down through your Bei Family’s heritage. Moreover, there is the Double Fish Jade Plate as proof. The Jade Pendant possessed by the Qin Family can be embedded into it, proving that we are indeed an affiliate of the Qingyu.”

Wei Zhongyuan raised an eyebrow, ”What Doctor Qin said is incorrect, times are changing, and past matters could be irrelevant now. How can they be counted, when this matter today is for my mentor to decide.”

Qin Youwei was shameless enough to forcibly tie themselves to the Qingyu School. Just listening to his tone was enraging, and his expression of doing Qingyu a favor here made one even more infuriated.

Qin Youwei glanced at Wei Zhongxun, lowered his eyes, and said, ”I’m talking to Doctor Bei, those below just need to listen when someone above speaks.”

Wei Zhongxun laughed. This guy really didn’t know his place, did he think he was someone important?

Not only did Wei Zhongxun laugh, but Tian Zhi and Jiang Mingzhong also chuckled.

Qin Youwei frowned at the inexplicable laughter of these people, and the other three people also showed displeasure. What was wrong with these people?

From Qin Xinyu, Qin Youwei learned about the current situation of the Qingyu School, knowing that this mysterious school surprisingly only had a few people, and the reputedly powerful Beisitian was just a young woman in her twenties. Hence, his reverence for the Qingyu School vanished completely.

Thinking that Beisitian might have ability but not management skills, which is why Qingyu hadn’t expanded, he came with money, assuming that they must be quite in need of it.

However, given Beisitian’s indifferent attitude towards the money, Qin Youwei thought, if it wasn’t an act, then they must truly not need money.

But if they didn’t lack money, why had Qingyu not expanded til now?

”It should indeed be Doctor Bei’s decision, but the ancestral teachings of the Bei Family can’t be forgotten. Without these teachings, we wouldn’t have traveled so far to come here.” Qin Youwei said with a smile.

The implication was that the Qin Family did not wish to be an affiliate family but had been obliged by ancestral teachings!

Beisitian laughed, ”Bring the Jade Pendant.”

Qin Youwei’s eyes flashed, ”I didn’t bring the Jade Pendant.”

Beisitian, knowing the ways of the world, saw his expression, recalling that the original head of the Qin Family was Qin Xinyu, began to suspect something.

”Since you follow ancestral teachings, the one who holds the Jade Pendant is the affiliated family. Bring the Jade Pendant and we’ll talk, see them out!” Beisitian directly asked them to leave.

Qin Youwei’s expression darkened; the other party didn’t offer him the slightest courtesy, despite him being the current head of the Qin Family!

”What kind of attitude is this!”

A thirty-something young man behind Qin Youwei suddenly stood up, pointing at Beisitian’s nose and shouted.

Seeing this, Wei Zhongxun, Tian Zhi, and Jiang Xin all straightened their bodies, glaring at the man threateningly.

The man’s momentum faltered under the sudden rise in pressure from the trio, although unwilling to concede, the other two people also stood up seeing this.

Beisitian frowned slightly, fearing that if they became an affiliate family, they might not last a generation before collapsing.

The tension was palpable, and though Qin Youwei did not stop his subordinates’ actions, Beisitian looked on coldly. If they genuinely intended to start trouble, she wouldn’t let them create chaos in her home.

As she was considering this, a cold voice resounded.

”What’s going on.”

The voice was not loud but chilling to the bone. The three who intended to intimidate couldn’t help but shudder and turned towards the doorway.

They saw three men dressed in neat military uniforms standing at the door, led by a tall and sturdy man whose icy gaze seemed to freeze your blood, exuding a faint murderous aura that made the pampered Mystic Doctors involuntarily retreat a step.

Their faces turned pale looking at the soldiers at the door, the momentum they had when facing Beisitian completely gone.

”Get out!”

Luo Xudong squinted, and his intimidating aura made one’s breath catch.

Cold sweat broke out on Qin Youwei’s forehead, he felt that if he didn’t leave now, the outcome wouldn’t be good, so he hurriedly instructed the three people to close their boxes, and the four of them slipped past the three soldiers and left in haste.

Chen Jinliang glanced sideways at the man passing by him, sticking out a leg which the man, in his haste, failed to see, causing him to throw his box and tumble headlong onto the ground.

This was the man who had just yelled at Beisitian.

”Hey! Steady on, buddy!” Chen Jinliang looked at the fallen man with a chuckle.
