Why Would an Aircraft Carrier Be Dispatched to Escort His Fishing Boat?

39: Chapter 39: The Carbon-9 Theory, which has not yet been established.Jiang Chen soon met the legendary female PhD.

It had to be said.

Jiang Chen was a bit surprised. In his impression, a female PhD would likely be older, at least over thirty years old.

However.

When Jiang Chen saw her, he realized she only looked about twenty-seven.

Much like a graduate senior sister.

She didn’t look like a female PhD at all.

”Her name is Shu Yin, the pride of Dragon God Academy. Her IQ test is said to be on the same level as Einstein’s. You can exchange ideas with her.”

After Xia Zhongxun brought Jiang Chen to the laboratory, he left with a smile.

Let the young people communicate; it was better for him not to disturb them.

Jiang Chen walked into the laboratory.

This was a fully enclosed national-level Chemical Materials Laboratory. All entries and exits were strictly confidential, requiring a certain level of clearance to enter.

However, Jiang Chen was a senior researcher himself and had been brought by Xia Zhongxun, so he entered after a simple iris scan and identity verification.

The people inside were fully geared up!

Jiang Chen also put on protective gear and paced over to stand behind Shu Yin.

At the moment, Shu Yin was using a microscope to examine the chemical reaction of a molecular material, completely absorbed in her observation.

She didn’t notice Jiang Chen behind her at all.

Jiang Chen glanced at the various chemical materials and equipment on her desk, as well as the complex chemical experimental data on the computer screen.

He immediately saw that this was research regarding Carbon-6 molecular material.

”Didn’t I send the production process for Carbon-9 molecular material to the Scientific Journal yesterday?”

”Have the academicians in the field of chemistry not seen it yet?”

Jiang Chen was somewhat puzzled.

Could the system have sent it to the wrong place?

Just then, Shu Yin finally noticed the figure standing behind her.

Through the transparent mask, she froze as she looked at his youthful face.

Where did such a young kid come from in this laboratory?

She raised an eyebrow, thinking he was an intern, and asked, ”Here to learn?”

”Huh?”

Jiang Chen was stunned for a moment, then chuckled, ”Science has no end; everyone has to learn.”

”?”

Shu Yin was taken aback by Jiang Chen’s words.

She sized Jiang Chen up and felt that this person was quite interesting, so she let out a smile.

”That makes sense. In essence, I am also here to learn.”

”My name is Shu Yin. I just arrived at Longke Academy and am currently working on Carbon-6. What about you?”

Jiang Chen said, ”My surname is Jiang. I work on chips and mecha.”

”Hmm? Do people from the physics side come here to learn too?”

Shu Yin was even more surprised.

Since when did people from the physics field come over to learn?

But since he could get in, it meant he had permission.

Jiang Chen nodded: ”Yes. May I ask if your laboratory is still working on Carbon-6?”

”What do you mean by ’still’? Don’t you know? Carbon-6 is currently a top-tier material in the country, belonging to the most cutting-edge research field. If we don’t study this, what else would we study?”

Shu Yin smiled and gave Jiang Chen a brief explanation.

After listening, Jiang Chen immediately knew that no one in the entire laboratory was aware of that academic paper on Carbon-9 yet.

”So, with the Carbon-6 you’re researching now, do you plan to develop toward Carbon-7?”

Jiang Chen looked at the various experimental data; he could see that Shu Yin was working hard to strengthen the material toward Carbon-7 based on Carbon-6.

However, this level of reinforcement was far from enough.

Shu Yin nodded: ”Yes, I estimate our laboratory can test a primary version of Carbon-7 in about half a year.”

”That’s too long. And Carbon-7 isn’t the ultimate goal, nor is Carbon-8. Carbon-9 is.”

Jiang Chen shook his head!

In half a year, the opportunity would be long gone. Perhaps the United States would have researched Carbon-8 by then.

Hearing this, Shu Yin was amused. She explained, ”Student Jiang Chen, when making chemical materials, one must be down-to-earth and not aim too high. It would be good if we could catch up to the United States’ Carbon-7 within half a year. As for Carbon-8, it’s currently in the theoretical stage. The Carbon-9 you mentioned—the entire global chemistry community hasn’t even established a theory for it. Whether it exists or not is still unknown!”

Shu Yin was indeed a genius in the field of chemical materials; her explanation was truly logical and thorough.

”The direction is wrong, so progress is slow.”

”Actually, Carbon-7 and Carbon-8 are both transitional stages. Carbon-9 is the ultimate direction.”

”You might as well change your way of thinking; maybe you can find the door to Carbon-9.”

Jiang Chen pointed to some experimental data on the computer and spoke his thoughts.

Shu Yin originally wanted to refute Jiang Chen, but as he spoke, she became a bit dazed.

Wasn’t this student named Jiang from the physics side? How could he say so many professional terms?

She composed herself and began to listen seriously.

When Jiang Chen began to reveal the synthesis principles of Carbon-9 molecular material, her eyes suddenly lit up.

This line of thinking was simply imaginative and unheard of!

Even if it was only theoretical, it still gave her a strong conceptual shock.

As a female PhD immersed in the field of material chemistry for many years, even though she hadn’t performed the experiments yet, the fluidity, innovation, and uniqueness of this thinking gave her a strong premonition: this line of thinking was very likely correct!

”You can think about it carefully.”

”There might be a breakthrough.”

Jiang Chen wasn’t sure if that paper had reached the Scientific Journal yet, so he simply revealed what he knew to Shu Yin.

After Shu Yin finished listening, she was already using every cell in her body to frantically perform mental experiments, hand-writing chemical formulas, and quickly typing some key steps on the computer.

By the time she had roughly outlined the thoughts she just heard on paper and the computer, fifteen minutes had passed.

”Where is he? Where’s that student named Jiang from just now?”

Shu Yin hurriedly grabbed a passing female colleague.

Female colleague: ”Surname Jiang? Didn’t Dean Xia tell you to go to the Descendant of the Dragon Testing Ground to find a big shot named Jiang? Is it this Jiang?”

Shu Yin’s whole body trembled as she suddenly remembered Dean Xia’s instructions.

”Are these two Jiangs the same person?”

In her shock, Shu Yin hurried toward the Descendant of the Dragon Testing Ground.

And at this moment.

Academician Wang Jiamin, a chemistry academician at Longke Academy, was in his office clearing his email.

As a reviewer for the Dragon Country Scientific Journal, he mainly reviewed the field of chemical materials.

However, he only logged into his email once a week to check submissions from all over the world.

Today, he had spent the entire morning processing his email and had only finished about half.

Just as he was feeling a bit tired and planned to rest for a while, an article titled ’Synthesis Principles and Process of Carbon-9 molecular material’ caught his attention.

”Carbon-9?”

After a slight daze, Academician Wang Jiamin smiled and shook his head!

Carbon-6 was already a top-tier material, Carbon-7 was still in the experimental stage, and Carbon-8 only existed in theory.

Carbon-9?

The entire Earth hadn’t even established the theory yet!

But by some freak chance, he still clicked on it.

He intended to see how this submission fantasized about it.
