Why Would an Aircraft Carrier Be Dispatched to Escort His Fishing Boat?

23: Chapter 23 Chip Disruption? Neuromorphic Chip Launched”Darling, how are you so amazing?”

”I heard from my dad that you seem to be involved in some experimental projects at Longke Academy?”

Qingyu Residential District, 502.

After Jiang Chen got off work, Qin Xueyao cooked him a table full of delicious dishes.

She looked at Jiang Chen with admiration.

Ever since Jiang Chen went to Longke Academy, her dad’s attitude towards Jiang Chen had taken a complete 180-degree turn.

He would constantly tell her to bring Jiang Chen home!

He even asked her when she would marry Jiang Chen!

Oh my goodness.

Was this still the dad who wasn’t very satisfied with Jiang Chen before?

However.

After learning from her dad that Jiang Chen was actually capable of participating in some experimental projects at Longke Academy, she naturally understood.

Jiang Chen looked at the table full of Chives and Eggs, Chive Buns, Chives Stir-fried with Meat, Chive Soup, Chive Rice, and Chives with Tomatoes, and fell into contemplation. He said with a wry smile to Qin Xueyao, ”Darling, I’m doing chip experiments at Longke Academy, not human experiments! There’s no need to ’replenish’ this much!”

”No! You need it!”

”You work very hard at Longke Academy. Come, eat more!”

Qin Xueyao helped Jiang Chen with his food, decorating his entire bowl into a small green mountain.

These days.

Jiang Chen would go to Longke Academy whenever he had free time, and often worked overtime.

Today, Jiang Chen finally didn’t have to work overtime, so she had to make sure to help him catch up on... unfinished coursework?

Not long after resting after dinner.

Jiang Chen began to tutor his girlfriend.

...

Just as Jiang Chen was tutoring Qin Xueyao.

Qualcomm from the United States suddenly announced a piece of news on Facebook that shocked the world.

[Due to insufficient supply of our company’s high-end chips, our company has decided to no longer supply high-end chips to Future Auto!]

[When supply will resume is currently unknown!]

[Special notice!]

As soon as this news came out.

The global new energy vehicle industry was greatly shaken.

Future Auto, which was in the middle of trading, saw its stock price plummet from $309 to $249!

It triggered a circuit breaker on the spot!

At the same time, Tesla officially announced that it would soon launch the Model Y globally.

Tesla’s stock price soared!

This rise and fall were clearly distinct.

Anyone with a discerning eye could see that there were forces at play behind both sides.

It’s just that.

One side was pushing upwards, while the other was pushing downwards!

[Damn, the United States is too despicable! Suddenly cutting off our country’s new energy vehicle chip supply? Just to give Tesla the green light, right!]

[Too shameless! They know Future Auto is about to launch a new high-end model, and they’re suppressing it!]

While many netizens were enraged, a group of people were sneering.

[Serves them right! Stand at attention when you’re hit. Why do others have high-end chips and you don’t?]

[Exactly! Of course others have the right to cut off your high-end chips. This has nothing to do with being despicable or not!]

Facing these people’s taunts, netizens argued back: [Of course this has nothing to do with being despicable or not, because such behavior completely disregards business rules.]

[You, the United States, advocate for free competition, so why aren’t you freely competing now and resorting to external forces?]

[So-called free competition means free competition when I’m stronger than you. When you’re stronger than me, or threaten me, I won’t choose free competition!]

[Indeed, too hypocritical!]

Everyone was extremely angry.

But there was nothing they could do!

After all, high-end chips were indeed in Qualcomm’s hands.

[Can our new energy giant only be suppressed like this?]

[Alas, Future Auto might also become the next Alstom...]

Just as everyone was feeling pessimistic.

Future Auto’s official account calmly released a bombshell on Weibo.

[Hello everyone, I am Wu Xiaopeng, CEO of Future Auto.]

[We heard that Qualcomm will no longer supply high-end chips to our company starting today.]

[We express our regret for this!]

[Here, I announce that our company will launch a domestically produced high-end intelligent driving vehicle specifically for our country’s users this summer.]

[The temporary name is: The Future Has Arrived!]

[Priced at 199,999 yuan!]

[This high-end intelligent driving system not only integrates the LV5 Intelligent Driving System jointly developed by our company and Longke Academy, but also boasts performance attributes far exceeding 1nm Chips!]

[Stay tuned for more news!]

As soon as this news came out.

The entire pessimistic mood on Weibo was swept away, and it instantly boiled over again.

[Damn, Future Auto is still releasing new energy vehicles despite the chip cut? And it’s for the domestic market?]

[That’s already very conscientious, other new energy vehicles cost over 300,000.]

[How high-end is this high-end intelligent driving system? Can it be operated hands-free?]

Most people were full of anticipation upon seeing that domestically produced new energy vehicles were about to launch high-end intelligent models.

However!

There were also some pessimistic and sarcastic comments.

[1nm Chip? Bragging! Our country doesn’t have 1nm Chips at all!]

[That’s indeed nonsense. Currently, the best high-end chips are from Qualcomm in the United States. How could our country have them?]

[One must be strong oneself. I suggest Future Auto lower its stance and not always claim to surpass everyone.]

[Exactly, constantly claiming to surpass others, such news, when spread internationally, is simply embarrassing.]

[This is our domestic new energy giant? Laughable, bragging doesn’t cost anything, right? No wonder it can’t beat Tesla!]

Facing these sarcastic remarks, Wu Xiaopeng did not explain much, but calmly replied: Everyone! Please be patient! The high-end chip we are launching is not from Qualcomm, but our country’s independently developed Brain-like Chip. After confirmation by Longke Academy, some of its performance indeed far exceeds 1nm.

However.

These people didn’t believe it and demanded that Wu Xiaopeng provide experimental parameters.

In response.

Wu Xiaopeng did not reply further. The car had not yet been released, so it was impossible to expose these parameters.

[Hahaha, they just can’t produce it, it’s just marketing! Rubbish domestic product, I just like Tesla!]

[Tesla is the GOAT! Rich people only buy Tesla. What Future Auto? It’s not even mainstream!]

[Shhh! Don’t say it out loud. Domestic Future Auto is actually just used to fool these commoners. Those who know, know. Those who don’t, won’t understand even if I tell them!]

Facing these sarcastic remarks, some netizens retorted.

But these comments were all suppressed.

Instead, these mocking comments, for some reason, were pushed to the homepage, each with 100,000 likes.

[This Weibo comment section is unreadable, completely controlled by trolls!]

Many netizens shook their heads.
