Why Would an Aircraft Carrier Be Dispatched to Escort His Fishing Boat?

8: Chapter 8 Neuromorphic Chips, Anonymous SubmissionThe Brain-like Mecha was salvaged that same afternoon.

Escorted by the aircraft carrier Dragon Cry, the object was delivered to Longke Academy overnight.

Longke Academy had already closed for the day.

However, after studying the Brain-like Mecha for a while, one expert’s expression suddenly changed drastically.

He called Dean Xia on the spot.

”Old Xia!”

”We’ve got a big one!”

An hour later.

Around ten o’clock at night.

Many people were already preparing to sleep, but a hall within Longke Academy was brightly lit.

A closer look revealed that over thirty top experts from Longke Academy had gathered inside.

”Old Xia, why have you gathered us here so late at night?”

An expert nearing sixty asked, looking somewhat exhausted.

He had been preparing to rest when he suddenly received an urgent call from Xia Zhongxun.

Xia Zhongxun was a tall, thin old man with completely white hair, but his eyes were bright and spirited. At this moment, he smiled and said to the group, ”Does everyone remember the dolphin that a fisherman handed over last time?”

Upon hearing this, everyone perked up.

They had studied the ’dolphin’ from last time; it was a biomimetic organism from the United States.

It contained a great deal of high-end technology!

Through decryption, it had brought at least five or six billion in technical value to the Dragon Kingdom.

If they had relied solely on their own research, it might have taken several years.

It could be said that that single dolphin had saved everyone from taking many detours.

”What is it, Dean Xia? Have fishermen caught another big one from the United States?”

Everyone asked, puzzled.

Xia Zhongxun smiled, ”The one the fishermen salvaged this time might not be from the United States.”

”As for which country it belongs to, I don’t know either!”

”Because I feel that even the United States might not be able to manufacture it.”

At this, everyone was stunned. ”What? Even the United States can’t manufacture it? Could it be aliens?”

”I don’t know if it’s aliens, but after you study it, you might all think this thing came from outer space!”

Xia Zhongxun gave a signal, and a researcher brought up a pitch-black Brain-like Mecha.

”Whoa! That’s quite scary.”

In the middle of the night, suddenly seeing a head-shaped mecha—and a pitch-black one at that, with a faint blue glow from within—it looked very mysterious.

”Let’s all study it together!” Dean Xia said.

Everyone began to display their respective expertise.

Among these experts were those who worked on intelligent machines, data programming, chips, and brain-like computing research.

In short, whatever high-end technology was involved, it could be found here!

This included Dean Xia himself, who was a multidisciplinary expert in chips, brain-like computing, mecha, and data.

Originally, according to his estimation, with so many people studying it together, they should have been able to find some clues.

As long as there were clues, there would be a breakthrough.

However! After one night, all the experts had bloodshot eyes from staying up.

”Dean Xia, it’s impossible to continue researching this!”

A seventy-year-old top-tier expert let out a helpless sigh.

This Brain-like Mecha had currently been partially disassembled, and that part was the chip section.

This top-tier expert had participated in the development of the most cutting-edge chips; he could be considered a master in this field.

However, even he, upon seeing the Brain-like Chip of this Brain-like Mecha, suddenly felt that this thing must have come from outer space.

”Indeed!”

”I overestimated myself.” Dean Xia also let out a faint sigh.

According to his research, this Brain-like Chip had actually reached 0.1nm!

0.1nm! The most cutting-edge chip internationally at present was only 1nm!

This Brain-like Chip had actually achieved such an absurd level!

This was no longer a question of whether or not to research it. It was clearly at a level that was impossible to comprehend!

Whether theoretically or practically, this was clearly something that shouldn’t exist!

”Alien black technology, this is definitely alien black technology!”

An expert researching intelligent systems couldn’t help but exclaim after repeatedly testing its performance!

This was too incredible! With his many years of research in intelligent systems, in front of this Brain-like Mecha, his work was simply insignificant!

”Dean Xia, are we still continuing to research? Everyone is a bit tired!”

Experts in other fields were somewhat discouraged.

This thing was much more ’black technology’ than the ’dolphin’ from last time.

Although the ’dolphin’ last time was advanced, it hadn’t reached the point where it was completely impossible to work with.

Seeing that everyone was discouraged, Dean Xia encouraged them, ”Everyone, don’t be disheartened. Go back and rest for a day first. Once you’ve rested well, everyone can come back and research!”

”Alright, Dean Xia, goodbye.”

”Goodbye.”

Everyone dragged their exhausted bodies home.

Xia Zhongxun stayed in the laboratory for a while and also sighed.

This thing was far beyond his understanding; even after resting well, he feared it would be very difficult to research it successfully.

Xia Zhongxun finally left the laboratory and returned to his study at Longke Academy.

He intended to rest in the study for a while and try researching again at night.

But after lying in the study for a while, he still couldn’t close his eyes.

Just imagine! Something capable of changing the landscape of chips was sitting right there, and his group of old bones couldn’t crack it. How disheartening and frustrating was that?

Unable to sleep, Xia Zhongxun simply opened his computer, intending to check international academic forums to see if there were any latest research achievements.

He had just opened his email when, suddenly, emails flooded in.

As the Dean of Longke Academy, he received many emails every day.

These emails were mostly submissions. After all, he also served as the editor-in-chief of the ”Dragon Kingdom Science Journal.”

”I wonder if there are any submissions regarding chips.” In a moment of impulse, such a thought popped into Xia Zhongxun’s mind.

But after thinking about it, he shook his head and smiled bitterly.

Currently, the strongest in chip technology was still the United States. Even if someone were to submit, they would likely prioritize the United States.

Just as Xia Zhongxun was shaking his head, one of the emails suddenly caught his attention.

The title was: ”Explaining How to Breakthrough the 1nm Chip from the Perspective of a Biomimetic Human Brain!”

Biomimetic Human Brain? 1nm Chip? Xia Zhongxun’s expression was startled.

Was there really someone researching chips right now? And below 1nm?

Holding a glimmer of hope, he clicked on the email.

Once he started reading, an hour passed!

”Good heavens!”

”Solved.”

”Someone actually solved it!”

Having read the entire email, Xia Zhongxun’s expression was extremely excited.

This email provided an incredibly brilliant approach from the perspective of a biomimetic human brain.

And this approach was extremely ingenious. It subsequently provided a great deal of experimental data that fit perfectly and showed superior performance.

Most importantly, the description of the biomimetic human brain chip in this email was very similar to that ’Brain-like Chip’ he had been researching in the laboratory for half a day without finding a breakthrough.

”What a genius. I must bring them to Longke Academy for a high-level position!”

Xia Zhongxun hurriedly checked who the sender of the email was.
