Why Would an Aircraft Carrier Be Dispatched to Escort His Fishing Boat?

30: Chapter 30: Strengthening the Fishing Boat, Setting Sail AgainBlack Palace.

The Lord of the Black Robe was angrily reprimanding Lawton and his group of tech tycoons.

”Are you all a bunch of useless fools!”

”After spending tens of billions of dollars and decades of accumulation, you repeatedly guaranteed that the Soul of God would be number one in the world. Yet, it was torn in half by an obscure intelligent mecha from the Dragon Kingdom?”

The Lord of the Black Robe slammed his large desk, his saliva nearly flying everywhere.

As the pinnacle of wisdom in the field of intelligent technology, the Soul of God was meant to be the United States’ first step in dominating global intelligent technology!

As long as that first step was taken, applying for funding from Congress and occupying the global market would follow naturally!

But now...

It had been completely torn to shreds by the Descendant of the Dragon.

Currently, intelligent technology companies from various countries are seeking cooperation with the Dragon Kingdom!

This made the Lord of the Black Robe extremely furious.

”Lord Black Robe, there is something you might not be aware of!”

Lawton couldn’t save face, so as the Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology, he took the initiative to stand up.

Lord of the Black Robe: ”Speak!”

”According to my subordinates’ analysis, some of the combat movements and behavioral models of the Descendant of the Dragon are very similar to an intelligent robot we previously developed...”

”Therefore, I judge that this Descendant of the Dragon might have plagiarized our confidential data!”

Before coming, Lawton had already had big data analyze the fifteen-minute combat video of the Descendant of the Dragon.

After systematic analysis, seven percent of the data was very similar to an Smart Dolphin under his own banner.

And this Smart Dolphin had cost the Ministry of Science and Technology nearly ten years to develop back then.

This top-tier Smart Dolphin had disappeared in the southern waters of the Dragon Kingdom a month ago.

According to satellite investigations, it was picked up by a fisherman from the Dragon Kingdom.

The Lord of the Black Robe frowned: ”You mean, the reason the Descendant of the Dragon could defeat the Soul of God is that the Dragon Kingdom analyzed that Smart Dolphin?”

”Yes, they defeated us by standing on our shoulders!”

Lawton quickly found an excuse for himself.

”Damn it! I was wondering how those people from the Dragon Kingdom, whose wisdom is inferior to ours, suddenly became so enlightened. It turns out they plagiarized our data!”

The Lord of the Black Robe suddenly felt much better.

Then!

He suddenly asked again: ”Wait, what’s the background of that fisherman you mentioned? How could he pick up our Smart Dolphin? It couldn’t even break free from a fishing net? What kind of trash intelligent technology is that?”

The Lord of the Black Robe suddenly felt something was wrong.

Forget an Smart Dolphin, even a basic sound collector would dive a certain distance upon detecting a nearby fishing boat approaching.

How could such a top-tier Smart Dolphin be caught by a fishing net?

”Uh, this is currently still under investigation, but the reason given by the relevant departments is that the Smart Dolphin might have malfunctioned...”

Lawton said evasively.

This matter had not been clarified to this day.

The last time they asked the Philippines to intercept and try to capture this fisherman, they also failed!

That Commander Fikeli had long been scared witless by the Dragon Kingdom’s aircraft carrier and hadn’t left port for a month.

”Malfunction? I think you’re all mentally impaired!”

The Lord of the Black Robe snorted coldly!

Lawton smiled bitterly: ”Rest assured, Lord Black Robe, we will protect our core technology well from now on and absolutely won’t let it leak again.”

”If there’s a next time, you’ll step down immediately!”

”Also, we currently have an advantage in the field of mecha materials. You must maintain it. If you can’t, you’ll also step down!”

The Lord of the Black Robe issued a death order!

The mecha material used by the Soul of God was a polymer material called Carbon-7, which had one more carbon than the Carbon-6 of the Descendant of the Dragon.

To maintain an absolute advantage, they had to hurry and research Carbon-8.

If it could be developed, not only could mecha materials be upgraded, but aircraft carriers at sea, Starlink in the sky, and various other aspects could be strengthened.

Its importance was no lower than intelligent technology, so they had to maintain a leading edge!

”Don’t worry, Carbon-8 is already in the experimental stage. In six months at most, it will definitely be the first in the world to be launched!”

Lawton promised confidently.

”Also, that damn fisherman has caused us too much loss. Put him on the Dark Web with a bounty of fifty million dollars!”

”Yes!”

...

The Descendant of the Dragon had already returned to the country.

The moment it got off the plane, it became a great hero in the eyes of countless people, who clamored to take photos with it.

Although the Descendant of the Dragon was in a dormant state, many people still took selfies in front of it.

It wasn’t until a day later that it was transported back to the Longke Academy for repairs.

”Except for a certain gap with the United States in terms of mecha materials, it can be said to be almost perfect in other aspects.”

Watching many researchers repairing the Descendant of the Dragon, Jiang Chen was thinking about how to bridge this gap.

This gap, though only a part, was an important component of the hardware.

Even though the Descendant of the Dragon had a leading edge in chips, software data, and intelligent systems, it still took a full fifteen minutes to defeat the Soul of God.

Everyone was very satisfied with the result!

But Jiang Chen felt there was still much room for improvement.

”Unfortunately, I lack higher-end knowledge in the field of materials.”

Jiang Chen felt regretful in his heart.

Behind him, Xia Zhongxun, who was walking over not far away, stumbled upon hearing this and almost fell over.

You kid, your research in the fields of chips and intelligent combat systems is already extremely deep.

And you actually want to delve into the field of materials too?

”Little Jiang, don’t be in a hurry. I’ve already started looking for experts in chemical materials to tackle the problems in this area.”

”For now, just take a break. Don’t overwork yourself!”

Xia Zhongxun comforted Jiang Chen.

Jiang Chen was already planning to go out to sea again, so he turned around and said, ”Dean Xia, I do plan to rest for a while. Also, I have a small request.”

”Go ahead!”

”I plan to repair my fishing boat, but I’m short on some materials. I saw there were quite a few materials left over from when the Descendant of the Dragon was built. Could you sell them to me at a low price?”

Jiang Chen said.

The exterior of the Descendant of the Dragon used Carbon-6 molecular material. Although there was a gap compared to the Carbon-7 used by the Soul of God, it was still a top-tier material in the country.

”You’ve made a huge contribution to the country. There’s no need for money. I’ll apply to the state directly and approve it for you!”

Xia Zhongxun waved his hand grandly.

According to normal procedures, this batch of leftover top-tier materials would be sent back to the material factory for remelting.

But since Jiang Chen needed them, he would give them to him!

”Then thank you, Dean!”

Jiang Chen cupped his fists.

Soon, a truck loaded with these leftover molecular materials drove towards Zhujiang Port.

The pearl river 888 was inherited from Jiang Chen’s parents and was quite old. Although the engine and such were okay, after years of seawater erosion, the exterior was somewhat dilapidated.

But under Jiang Chen’s repair, layer after layer of Carbon-6 molecular material was applied to the pearl river 888.

A day later, the pearl river 888 went from being old and worn out to looking brand new!

The entire ship radiated a bright, pure white light!

Bang!

Jiang Chen picked up a rock and smashed it hard against the pearl river 888.

The rock shattered into two halves!

But there wasn’t even a mark on the surface of the pearl river 888.

”As expected of Carbon-6 molecular material, the same mecha material used on the Descendant of the Dragon. This is too strong!”

Jiang Chen marveled.

Currently, Carbon-6 molecular material was not allowed to be sold domestically and could only be applied for through research institutions like the Longke Academy.

”Darling, I want to go out to sea with you!”

Behind him, Qin Xueyao, wearing a straw hat and looking slender, saw how Jiang Chen had made the pearl river 888 look so brand new, and her desire to go out to sea with him was instantly reignited!

Thinking about doing the things they loved to do on the boundless sea, how wonderful!

”No, wait until you graduate, or else your father will scold me.”

Jiang Chen stroked her head and told her to wait a bit longer!

”Sob sob sob!”

Xue Yao whimpered.

Three days later, when Jiang Chen had made all the preparations and was about to set out to sea, Xue Yao waved goodbye at the port, reluctant to see him go!

”Go back early, the humidity by the sea is high!”

Jiang Chen started the fishing boat and set out to sea again.

The development of the previous Brain-like Mecha was almost complete.

He should take a few turns around the sea to see if there was any new big catch.

The moment Jiang Chen set out to sea, the Naval Department Base immediately monitored the relevant information.

[Naval Department Command Room: The fishing boat on our Naval Department’s SS-level protection list is setting out to sea! Should we provide an escort?]

After seeing the relevant information, Commander-in-Chief Commander Tang Ze immediately sent out an SS-level secret telegram.

[Pterosaur Cruiser, Pterosaur Cruiser, please respond when received!]

[This is the Naval Department Base Command Room!]

[This department hereby orders you to lead the Weilong Destroyer and Zhanlong Frigate to escort the pearl river 888 throughout its journey!]

[Repeat...]

Since the Descendant of the Dragon defeated the Soul of God, after research by multiple departments, the Naval Department Base had been secretly ordered to upgrade Jiang Chen and the pearl river 888 from the S-level protection list to the SS-level protection list.
