Why Would an Aircraft Carrier Be Dispatched to Escort His Fishing Boat?

15: Chapter 15 Jiang Chen’s student status was revokedOcean University. Principal’s Office.

A tall, thin man was entertaining a blonde, blue-eyed foreigner.

The man was none other than the principal of Ocean University, Principal Lai Jinsheng.

And the blonde, blue-eyed foreigner was Steven, an informant planted in the country by Liu Junan.

Steven crossed his legs and said to Principal Lai Jinsheng, ”Principal Lai, with the impact of Weibo on your school being so severe right now, aren’t you going to set an example?”

”Mr. Steven, it’s not that I don’t want to set an example, it’s just that the girl from the Medical University hasn’t provided any solid evidence...”

Principal Lai Jinsheng looked troubled. He dared not offend Steven, as he was Liu Junan’s man, but he also couldn’t just come out and say Jiang Chen was a pervert.

Steven shook his head. ”I didn’t come here to make you prove he’s a pervert, but to have you revoke his academic status.”

As he spoke, he pulled a letter of recommendation from his pocket and placed it on the table.

Principal Lai Jinsheng opened the letter and took a look; it was actually a letter recommending him for the position of Deputy Director at the Department of Education.

His eyes lit up!

Gritting his teeth, he stood up and promised, ”Mr. Steven, rest assured, I guarantee I will find a reason to revoke this student’s academic status!”

”That’s more like it! Once it’s done, if there’s an opportunity, I’ll take you to meet Mr. Liu.”

Steven said, painting a rosy picture.

Principal Lai Jinsheng swallowed hard and hurriedly shook his hand to see him off. ”Then I’ll leave it to you, Mr. Steven!”

The position at the Department of Education was only secondary. The key was Liu Junan.

This top-tier domestic capitalist. If he could establish a connection with him, it would far surpass anything the Department of Education could offer!

”I look forward to your good news!” Steven left.

Principal Lai Jinsheng began to use his power to manipulate things behind the scenes.

Before long, he had someone modify Jiang Chen’s graduation thesis, academic transcripts, and other records from last year.

His academic grades were changed from excellent to extremely poor, with multiple failed courses and so on. The graduation thesis was made to look full of holes.

Finally, he called the teachers from the Admissions Office over and handed them the evidence. ”Go give Weibo an explanation.”

”Announce on my behalf that, effective immediately, Ocean University is revoking student Jiang Chen’s academic status. We do not recognize his undergraduate degree!”

”Very well, Principal.” The teachers from the Admissions Office didn’t dare say anything else. Following the materials provided by the principal, they drafted an announcement and attached the relevant evidence.

[Ocean University Announcement!]

[After investigation, Jiang Chen is indeed a graduate of our Ocean University from last year!]

[Whether he is a pervert, we cannot know.]

[However, upon our thorough investigation, student Jiang Chen failed multiple courses during his four years at university, his graduation thesis quality was terrible, and he graduated with a barely passing standard.]

[Considering the social atmosphere and the negative impact he caused at the Medical University, our school has decided to revoke student Jiang Chen’s undergraduate degree!]

[Attached are some relevant image and text evidence.]

[Notice is hereby given!]

Once this Weibo post was released, the entire Weibo platform instantly boiled over.

[Failed over a dozen courses in four years of university? Damn, what a slacker!]

[With a thesis level like a kindergartner, how was he even able to pass the graduation defense?]

[His degree should have been canceled long ago!]

[Serves him right!]

[With such terrible grades, this stinky man is definitely a pervert without a doubt!]

[I suggest the relevant departments thoroughly investigate his family, past experiences, and so on; there might be more surprises!]

Countless female users were in an uproar. In their eyes, this was exactly what a pervert should look like: morally corrupt and with terrible grades.

If they knew that Jiang Chen had been extremely outstanding during his four years of undergraduate study, it certainly wouldn’t fit their imagination.

Jiang Chen and Qin Xueyao had just come out of the cinema.

After Qin Xueyao scrolled and saw the Weibo post about Jiang Chen’s degree being revoked, she was immediately furious and cursed: ”Has Ocean University gone mad? You were clearly a model student for all four years of your undergraduate degree, and your thesis was excellent. How can they twist the truth like this!”

Looking at his alma mater’s announcement on Weibo, Jiang Chen also frowned, a flash of disappointment crossing his mind.

He had indeed been very outstanding during his four years of university. If it weren’t for inheriting his parents’ fishing boat, he could have easily become a seaman.

But at this moment, his alma mater was actually slandering him, tampering with his undergraduate grades, and smearing his thesis.

”Behind these people, there seems to be a powerful hand,” Jiang Chen muttered to himself, feeling that the matter was not as simple as it seemed.

If it were just Jiang Qingqing slandering him, that would be one thing. But now, even his alma mater, Ocean University, dared to twist the truth like this. It meant that there must be a mastermind behind this incident.

”Don’t worry, I’ll ask my dad to help you look into it!” Xue Yao comforted Jiang Chen.

Her father was a senior researcher at Longke Academy and had considerable fame in the educational field; perhaps he could help clarify the situation.

Inside Longke Academy, Xia Zhongxun soon learned about Jiang Chen being denounced on Weibo and Ocean University’s announcement regarding the revocation of his degree.

”This degree matter, isn’t it nonsense?” Xia Zhongxun frowned.

”Breakthrough in 1nm Chip from the Perspective of Bionic Artificial Brain” and ”On How to Establish an Efficient Combat System for Intelligent Mechs”—these two submissions alone were enough for Jiang Chen to come work at Longke Academy.

Did he need to fake anything during his undergraduate stage?

”Does this Ocean University have internal issues?” In his displeasure, Xia Zhongxun immediately dialed the number for the Department of Education.

Soon, on the other end, Director Cai Minghui of the Department of Education answered the phone.

”Let me tell you, Little Cai, are you just going to let the universities under your jurisdiction cause trouble like this?” Xia Zhongxun started with a stern reprimand.

The Director of the Department of Education was left stunned for a long time. However, since Director Cai Minghui was after all a former student of Xia Zhongxun, hearing his teacher angry, he smiled bitterly: ”Teacher, I didn’t know about this matter. I will have someone investigate it right away!”

”Immediately, right now, conduct a thorough investigation!”

”Yes, yes, yes, Teacher!” Director Cai Minghui hurriedly promised.

He immediately ordered his subordinates to thoroughly investigate the matter of the degree revocation.

Just as the Department of Education began their thorough investigation, the people from the Longan Department had already targeted a security guard at the Medical University and were preparing to close the net!
