Martial Arts: I Have Diligence Reward System

Chapter 40: Chapter 34: I Want to Be the Messenger Pigeon

”The eight races of the Wetland all want to occupy Earth. Although our Yangxiang Race possesses the Divine Water, we only infiltrate briefly, not occupy.

”Remember your mission, treat it seriously.”

Dr. Jiu Mao seemed to be at the end of his life, his walking was shaky, luckily a cameraman went over to support him.

”Begin the experiment, my health is deteriorating, this should be the last experiment. If it fails, find a way to return to the Wetland.”

Dr. Jiu Mao waved his hand.

Instantly, the crew started packing up.

Within minutes, a stainless steel plate emerged from the ground, resembling a lathe in an assembly line factory.

Su Yue glanced at it, seemingly just enough for one person to lie down.

”Doctor, should we wait for the effect of the serum to dissipate from the 16-card one? Or start with others?”

Bai Mei asked.

The Earth student with 16-card has a noticeably higher success rate.

”Let’s start with the others, my blood is enough for this experiment, we can’t waste even one.”

Dr. Jiu Mao took out a metal toolbox filled with various bottles and jars, along with a row of syringes.

At the same time, Fen Jiao carried a high school student on her shoulder and threw him onto the aluminum plate.

Snap!

Snap!

Snap!

Within a second, a dozen iron clasps locked the student securely onto the aluminum plate.

Su Yue was terrified, trying hard to suppress his fear to maintain a steady heartbeat.

No wonder he felt weak all over, apparently, he had been drugged.

Was it because of his 16-card?

Moreover, he was receiving special treatment, the other students weren’t chained.

That Fen Jiao, exposed her true form due to drinking, no wonder she is called Fen Jiao, her flesh is pink.

Similar to the dark pink of a skinned eel, nauseating.

...

Next, Su Yue witnessed a horrifying scene.

Dr. Jiu Mao used a syringe to extract his own blood, then drew many liquids from the various reagents.

Finally, he slowly injected the dark blood into the student.

Death.

The student struggled violently, but his voice was hoarse, unable to scream, ultimately dying bleeding from his seven orifices.

Cough cough!

Dr. Jiu Mao coughed blood too, being drained of blood seemed to also harm him.

”Next!”

The corpse was tossed off the metal plate, Dr. Jiu Mao remained expressionless.

”Doctor, do you really have to push yourself like this, you’ll die.”

Bai Mei felt a bit compassionate.

”The Yangxiang Race in Wetland has the least manpower. We have incited many Yangxiang Sect followers from within the Earth Martial Artists.

”Unfortunately, the scoundrels from the Steel Pattern Race and Four-armed Race don’t allow Wuwen Race people to cross over in the Wetland.

”I must develop a universal serum, only then can the Earth believers in Wetland successfully possess the Yangxiang Race aura and return normally.

”With the universal serum, the Yangxiang Race warriors can freely enter and exit Earth, no longer suffering from the Divine Water.

”I have to succeed.”

Dr. Jiu Mao gritted his teeth.

”Sadly, only your blood is useful among the entire Yangxiang Race, we simply can’t help.”

Bai Mei looked guilty.

”I’ve soaked in the Divine Water pool for ten years, after me, the pool gradually dried up, no second person will emerge.

”If I fail, the serum will never exist.

”For the sake of coexisting peacefully with Earth Martial Artists, my sacrifice is inevitable.”

Dr. Jiu Mao swiftly killed the second person.

However, his condition also worsened.

”Coexist peacefully?

”Dr. Jiu Mao, although you are significant, I still hope you ponder your words.

”Our goal is to kill all Earth Martial Artists, to annihilate nations and races, ultimately to occupy Earth entirely. Why mention coexistence, it’s absurd and disrespectful to the king.”

Bai Mei seemed to see Dr. Jiu Mao for the first time, filled with incredibility.

”Annihilate nations and races?

”The Wetland has united so many races, fighting Earth for hundreds of years, when have we succeeded?

”Conversely, the weak Earth Martial Artists are becoming stronger, you are all fools.

”To be honest, my research on serum is more about allowing Earth’s ruling figures to genuinely reach the core of Wetland races.

”Only then can Earth’s Martial Artists leaders understand Wetland demands, only then is there hope for negotiation.

”By killing, when will it end?

”Regardless of Wetland or Earth, too many ordinary people have died, I want to change.

”I wish to solve centuries of conflict and disputes through peace, negotiations, and mutual win.

”You brutes know nothing.”

Dr. Jiu Mao’s time was up, he was no longer interested in hiding his intentions.

”Dr. Jiu Mao, your actions are treasonous, you will be hung.

”Moreover, Earth’s Martial Artists have no interest in your peace pursuit. In the Wetland, we possess martial arts resources Earth’s Martial Artists crave, they are also plundering.

”Peace, it’s simply laughable, utterly impossible.”

Fen Jiao trembled all over.

”All my relatives were massacred by Earth’s Martial Artists, I’ve never feared death or the king.

”Whether Earth Martial Artists or Wetland races, there will always be intelligent individuals tired of war, I always believe, there will be a day of peace.

”On Earth, there are more Martial Artists hoping to close the Wet Ghost Tower.

”Peace, this world needs peace.

”Negotiation is the path to peace, not slaughter; slaughter can only enhance mutual hatred.

”Damn war, damn slaughter.”

Dr. Jiu Mao roared.

”Dr. Jiu Mao, you have gone mad.”

Bai Mei’s pupils gleamed with blood.

”Remember you pigs.

”My serum is a bridge for free exchange between the two races, not just a recruitment tool for the Yangxiang Race.

”It’s enough that I acted along with you before.”

Dr. Jiu Mao angrily rebuked Bai Mei.

Previously, the serum research had to be motivated by recruiting for the Yangxiang Race, or else he couldn’t ensure his survival.

But with his life countdown, he was fearless.

As long as the serum could come about, the rest is left to time.

...

Su Yue now finally understood everything.

Yangxiang Race is one of the battlefield races, there should be eight such races, all enemies of Earth’s Martial Artists.

The name of the battlefield is Wetland.

And this Yangxiang Race can disguise as humans using Divine Water to infiltrate Earth.

Of course, they get injured, feel weak, and can’t stay long.

No wonder the Yangxiang Sect is fearless, committed to terror attacks, even slaughtering ordinary people.

Turns out, they are spies from an alien race.

And this Dr. Jiu Mao wants to develop a universal serum.

If he succeeds, those human traitors from the Yangxiang Sect on Earth can righteously return to the Yangxiang Race in the Wetlands, and then attack Earth again.

The reason why human traitors can’t currently integrate into the enemy camp is because other races in the Wetlands are obstructing them.

It’s really quite complicated!

This serum is also a crucial factor in making the other two races give up their obstruction.

Although Su Yue is young, and has never witnessed the brutality of the battlefield,

he can gauge some clues from his dad’s words, his uncle’s injuries, and Xiong Taiguang’s situation.

The battlefield is very brutal.

Humans don’t seem to have the upper hand.

But Dr. Jiu Mao’s comments left Su Yue confused.

You hypocrite, if you really want peace talks, why don’t you release me first?

The Yangxiang Race is carrying out terror attacks everywhere—is this how they want to negotiate?

Yet these remarks would be considered heinous within the Yangxiang Race as well.

Stuck between a rock and a hard place.

This old bastard, so vicious in his actions, yet harbors lofty ideals of peace in his mind.

...

Failure!

Failure!

Failure!

...

Dr. Jiu Mao has been failing continuously.

Finally, all the hostages taken along with Su Yue were dead.

Su Yue was dragged and laid on an aluminum alloy board.

”Stop playing dead, I know you’ve been awake for a while now.”

Dr. Jiu Mao’s skin was withered, and even his last nine hairs had fallen out.

He was on his last breath.

But even on his deathbed, he continued his research.

Although he himself wouldn’t see peace, nor knew when it would come,

Dr. Jiu Mao believed that as long as the serum was developed, it would be a seed that would eventually sprout.

”Don’t you want peace? I can be your dove of peace. Release me now, I know the admiral, and can be your lobbyist.”

Su Yue suddenly opened his eyes.

He just attempted to escape, but was lifted by two Fourth-Grade Martial Artists, leaving him with no chance.

Now it was over.

His entire body was tightly chained, unable to budge even an inch, not even able to lift his head.

He needed to buy some time first.

”As a sophomore student, you have 16 cards of Qi Blood. You must be from a family of powerful figures.”

”Unfortunately, with your current status, you can’t influence the views of the two races.”

Dr. Jiu Mao smirked, as the liquid in the syringe was injected into Su Yue’s right arm.

Su Yue’s right arm was in a disabled state, incapable of feeling pain.

But Su Yue still acted like he was in severe pain.

Beep beep beep!

Beep beep beep!

The nearby laptop was playing Su Yue’s heart rate fluctuations.

”You old baldy, you speak of peace yet refuse to release me.”

Su Yue roared in anger.

”His heart rate is normal,”

Pink Pepper exclaimed in astonishment.

Though Dr. Jiu Mao’s comments bordered on betrayal, the experiment couldn’t stop—the decision on how to use the serum once developed was the king’s decision. The doctor was already a dead man—let’s just say he’s dreaming.

”Indeed, worthy of being a 16-card test subject. Maybe this could truly succeed.”

White Brow also grinned with delight.

”Increase the dosage, continue!”

Dr. Jiu Mao fetched a larger syringe and began to draw his own blood.

Su Yue struggled fiercely, like a fish flopping on a chopping board.

In just a few minutes, his system’s available points had reached an astonishing 800 plus.

Meanwhile, Su Yue’s consciousness also began to blur.

Although his arm didn’t hurt, with all those mysterious fluids being injected, his vital signs were still fading away.

...

”You damn baldy, claiming you want peace while still killing people, you beast.”

Su Yue could no longer shout, only mutter to himself.

”If peace can be achieved in the future, you’ll be the greatest hero.

”You must stay alive and become the host for providing the serum.”

Dr. Jiu Mao was even weaker than Su Yue.

”Did I fail? As expected, I failed in the end. I’m not reconciled.”

Su Yue could no longer shout. As his consciousness finally faded, he saw Dr. Jiu Mao breathe his last.

He also saw on the laptop screen, the life signal line that belonged to him, gradually losing its peaks and valleys.

Am I really going to die just like this?

I haven’t even had a girlfriend, haven’t gone to college. I’m not willing!

Su Yue kicked his legs, feeling like he might still be salvageable.

He suddenly glanced at the system.
