Martial Arts: I Have Diligence Reward System

Chapter 6: Chapter 3: Thickheaded and Recklessly Bold_2

Maybe the bigger the thief, the less afraid they are of being caught, leaving the door unlocked like this.

”Oh, kid, your Qi Blood has improved quite a bit. Use my sensor, get a back massage for an hour.”

Su Yue had just put down his braised noodles when he was met with a demand.

In the past, Su Yue didn’t have a sensor and had to use Xiong Taiguang’s tests.

”Oh, this wrist is so heavy.

”This watch is so heavy, annoying, uncomfortable to wear!”

Su Yue revealed the sensor on his arm and then looked contemptuously at the skinny middle-aged man, letting out a cold sneer.

Previously, to measure his Qi Blood levels, he frequently gave massages for free.

A dignified martial artist, a future pillar of humanity, should not have to do such things.

Moreover, this guy may look thin, but he’s essentially a 1.9-meter-tall high-grade martial artist. After a massage session, Su Yue would feel sore all over, with his diligence points forcibly increased by three.

”Oh, so young and already on a path to crime? Tell me... did you steal it? Or rob it?”

”Brother, it’s borrowed... get it?”

”Oh, I get it, you conned it.”

”I’ll emphasize once more, it’s borrowed. Even con artists say they’ll return it after using, I just won’t return it.”

”Then it’s stolen.”

”Forget it, I won’t argue with you, a fugitive worrying more than the Investigation and Arrest Bureau does.”

Su Yue slumped on the sofa.

He threw three silver needles onto the coffee table, and without the suppression of the needles, it felt quite comfortable.

Creak.

The silver needles fell, causing the old plywood coffee table to slightly move.

These three silver needles were extremely heavy.

”I don’t know who to give this Qi Blood Pill to, such a dilemma... How about calling an in-house massage? The little card says the escort’s skills are good, loneliness is a poison, makes me want to do something wrong.”

Xiong Taiguang lay on the ground.

”Hmph, the sensor doesn’t threaten me anymore, now you want to use the Qi Blood Pill to buy me? As a future martial artist about to join a potential class... it’s just to serve you, isn’t it? How’s this Thai technique for you?

”What’s with this shady escort? Those people aren’t even legit.”

Su Yue jumped up like a monkey, starting to pat and hit.

”Legitimate massage is boring... back in the day, the grand sword of Canglanglang...”

Xiong Taiguang squinted with a face full of indulgence.

”In front of a high school student, you speak such nonsense, so vague... Why don’t you talk about the details, that grand sword stuff, mainly the details? Martial artists, we pay attention to details.”

Su Yue looked dissatisfied.

The old man’s always been so improper, never detailing in front of just-adult youngsters, making people curious.

”Su Yue, your morals and limits are getting lower and lower, I am comforted, you’ll be an excellent martial artist in the future.”

Xiong Taiguang enjoyed the back pounding.

”I will continue to explore my limits, so you better talk about the grand sword’s details.”

Su Yue stubbornly asked.

”Su Yue, my fugitive days are coming to an end.”

Suddenly, Xiong Taiguang’s tone turned solemn, indeed this guy didn’t speak about the grand sword’s details.

”Released without charge? Wrongful accusations reversed?”

Su Yue was taken aback.

”Stayed in Cengyan City for a year, eating braised noodles for a year. I’ve had enough, I’m leaving.”

Xiong Taiguang chuckled.

”That’s not right, I’ve been delivering to you for over 330 days, not a full year yet.”

Dad hasn’t been caught for a year either.

”Before you started delivering, I was already staying in Cengyan City, it’s not like all other delivery folks were wiped out.

”Kid, you’re stubborn and courageous, so I let you keep delivering.”

Xiong Taiguang said.

”So where are you going?”

Su Yue asked.

”You don’t need to worry about that, my bounty is one million now, why don’t you sell me?

”After taxes, you could keep 600,000.”

Xiong Taiguang continued.

”So many taxes, I wish I were a martial artist, then I could keep 900,000 of the million!”

Su Yue calculated with his fingers.

”Boy, you’ve got a sinister heart.”

Xiong Taiguang’s old face stiffened, this brat was already calculating taxes.

”Just kidding, kidding, you can’t be worth that little.

”How about committing a few more big crimes, raise the bounty. Even salted fish have dreams, is your worth just that million?”

Su Yue forced a laugh.

”How about a shocking case of a high school sophomore dismembered in Cengyan City? Would that increase the bounty?”

Xiong Taiguang asked.

The kid spoke as if even he was tempted.

Su Yue shrunk his neck and chuckled foolishly.

”Alright then, a million bounty is the cap, any more would surpass the limits of a normal person, pointless to increase further, not joking anymore.

”Take this black key. In a week...no, after a week, take it to the Investigation and Arrest Bureau, you should get that one million reward.

”The reason I’m worth so much is entirely because of this black key.”

Xiong Taiguang stood up, stopping the massage, and handed Su Yue a black key.

”Are you really leaving?”

Su Yue took the black key.

Cold to the touch, it felt quite substantial; it should be something like a USB drive.

”The black key is related to a martial arts secret of the Divine Land, you can’t open it, don’t try, just take it directly to the Investigation and Arrest Bureau.

”From tomorrow, don’t deliver anymore, prevent unnecessary trips.

”Also, in that backpack, are all my possessions, though there aren’t many Qi Blood Pills left.

”The ’Nine Needle Weight’ will benefit you immensely, try to suppress yourself as much as you can. As a martial artist, the biggest taboo is to fully expose your trump card; this concept, instill it from your student days.”

Xiong Taiguang stood up, flicked his fingers, and reinserted the three silver needles on the coffee table into Su Yue’s abdomen.

”You...”

Su Yue felt his body instantly grow heavy, looking at Xiong Taiguang, this guy wasn’t joking after all.

”There are two boxes of silver needles in the backpack.

”One box is the 10-pound version you are using now, nine needles, totaling 90 pounds. Six needles left, use them as soon as possible.

”The other box is the 40-pound version, nine needles, 360 pounds. Challenge yourself with it when your body can endure it, don’t take risks lightly.

”Hear me out, before becoming a Sealed Martial Artist, try to push your basic Qi Blood limit as high as possible, the higher the better.”

Xiong Taiguang patted Su Yue’s shoulder.

”Go back, study hard, aim to get into the four great martial academies.

”Nowadays, people practice martial arts for promotion and wealth, but they are all mistaken, the mission of martial artists ultimately is to protect home and country.”

Xiong Taiguang pushed Su Yue out the door.

”This...”

From beginning to end, Su Yue had no chance to speak.

”By the way, if... after you return the black key to the Investigation and Arrest Bureau, someone from the military might come to talk to you.

”Pass them a message from me, say: Actually, I’ve realized my mistake long ago, military orders are like mountains, our entire squad knew we were wrong.”

Bam!

With that said, Xiong Taiguang shoved Su Yue out.

”How baffling...”

The door was double-locked, and Su Yue couldn’t open it again.

An S-class fugitive, teaching him that martial artists are meant to protect home and country?

Well, it makes sense.

Even though Dad was caught, what he said most often was also about protecting home and country.

...

”Oh no, I left my recorder inside.”

The delivery company issues recorders to avoid disputes between couriers and customers.

The wireless earphones were still on Su Yue’s ears, but he accidentally left the recorder at home.

To ensure privacy, these recorders connect to Wi-Fi and earphones, receivable from afar.

Rustling.

In the earphones, Xiong Taiguang had started snoring.

This guy, so carefree.

Forget it, I’ll buy another one.

Farewell, friend!

Su Yue felt a bit sad as he carried his backpack.

But after experiencing big ups and downs, he was no longer as indecisive as a child.

Everyone has their own story.

...

Sorrow was also a torment for Su Yue.
