Martial Arts: I Have Diligence Reward System

Chapter 34: Chapter 28: The Price of Fairness

”In this era, the power of martial artists is somewhat too great.”

After a few minutes of silence, the study committee member stubbornly retorted.

”I admit, the power of martial artists is great.

”Martial artists have the greatest power and the most benefits, but aren’t these deserved?

”Gong Ling, raise your hand.”

Liu Dachen suddenly said.

Although Gong Ling hated Liu Dachen, the other party was after all a teacher, and she was still a student.

After hesitating for a few seconds, Gong Ling raised her hand.

”If any students are interested, you can take a look at Gong Ling’s hand.”

Liu Dachen turned on the slides, and under the projector’s spotlight, Gong Ling’s hand suddenly appeared on the projection screen.

The air solidified once again.

In everyone’s mind, Gong Ling was the campus beauty. Her face was beautiful, and her hands should be as delicate and white as scallions.

But no one expected this.

The class leader’s hand turned out to be so rough, even a few finger joints were crooked, and her right hand’s ring finger had only half a nail left.

Gong Ling blushed and quickly hid her hand. For a girl, this was public humiliation.

”Have you all memorized the class leader’s hand?

”Come, study committee member, show your hand too.”

Liu Dachen sneered.

Then, everyone finally saw the ideal hand on the screen.

White, tender, with faint blood vessels under the skin accentuating its beauty, further decorated with nail polish—truly an artwork.

Gong Ling lowered her head.

This guy was simply publicly punishing her.

”Such beautiful hands, the nail polish is lovely too.”

Liu Dachen sincerely praised.

Su Yue’s right arm couldn’t move, he glanced at his left hand.

Sigh.

Words couldn’t express it.

It was even uglier than Gong Ling’s by tenfold.

In novels, protagonists manage to maintain jade-like hands while training, that’s pure nonsense.

As long as you use them frequently enough, your skin will certainly become rough, and bones are prone to injury, eventually deforming; it’s a natural law.

Gong Ling’s maintenance was quite good.

That bumbling Wang Lu Feng couldn’t even move his thumb, couldn’t unlock a fingerprint phone.

”Same age, same class, these two hands represent two types of people, also two paths.

”Gong Ling can enter Wuda, and upon graduation can join the military, politics, commerce, buy a house, buy a car, and carve out her own career.

”But the study committee member can only graduate from an ordinary college, find a job that barely feeds, settle down and raise children, waiting for old age, and possibly never live in her own house or own her car throughout her life.

”But that’s the price. I believe your class leader loves beauty too, likes nail polish, and who doesn’t hate sweat? But Gong Ling sacrificed beauty, comfort, and the things girls love the most, don’t you think she deserves some compensation?

”The gap between you is not just 11 cards of Qi Blood, but also dignity, future, money, and even fairness.

”Gong Ling also has the chance to save your teacher Ding Beitu, although the hope is slim, there is still a chance. And you... can only cry.

”My words might be a bit blunt, but there’s no way around it. This is the truth of this world... there’s no free lunch under the heavens, and similarly, there’s no effortless so-called fairness.”

Liu Dachen shook his head.

This could count as an ideological education class.

”The Divine Land is not only upheld by martial artists; thousands of ordinary people are building it too.

”Ordinary people also deserve fair treatment.”

The study committee member trembled with anger, trying to argue clearly.

”No, you’re wrong.

”If not for basic survival, you absolutely wouldn’t work for free. You’d rather paint your nails, sleep in, and binge-watch shows.

”The blood and sweat of many who contribute are erased by your mediocrity and platitudes. Those truly willing to contribute are trying to make themselves stronger, not lounging in chairs reading books.

”Today, people’s brain domains are much stronger than in the technology era, reading is not that exhausting.”

Liu Dachen’s words remained sharp.

”You’re right; ordinary people can’t work for free. But martial artists endure hardships to achieve wealth and glory too. If it were free, martial artists wouldn’t be so great either.”

The study committee member responded firmly.

”Greatness is subjective, with each having their own views. But you must understand, currently, this world is in martial artists’ hands; those who contribute more receive more.

”For martial artists, all countries on Earth are relatively fair... dignity, status, reputation, as long as you work hard, you’ll have them.

”To be more cruel, the existence of ordinary people is more like a prop, just as free players in online games are mere props for paying players.

”If you’re lazy, you must bear the cost of laziness.

”Martial arts is the era’s rule of the game; if you don’t follow the rules, you can only choose to become a prop.

”Humans and pigs both live on Earth, both are organisms. If pigs demand fairness, would you find it absurd?”

Liu Dachen realized he was quite idle, holding a debate in this classroom, which was just as boring.

”Is the contribution of martial artists that great? Aren’t you just dictators?”

The study committee member’s face turned red, voicing a contradiction many felt.

”The government conceals many things from ordinary people, intending for you to live in peace, have more children. With a large population base, more martial artists can be cultivated.

”Ordinary people’s anxiety doesn’t benefit the world’s structure whatsoever. So you just need to comfortably be props, and have more children; it’s enough, no need to know more.

”You should all know the Yangxiang Sect, rampaging in countries worldwide, right? If facing the terror attacks from the Yangxiang Sect, what could you possibly do?

”At that time, you’ll remember the role of martial artists.”

Yangxiang Sect.

This is the largest global terrorist organization, often launching terror attacks, the largest causing 900,000 deaths in a city in Eastern Europe.

Mentioning Yangxiang Sect, the whole class fell silent.

This was danger close to everyone.

”Alright, class is dismissed!

”To announce one last thing, before the exams, any of you can train freely; attendance won’t be taken in the next few days. No need to ask for leave, my classroom is fully open.”

Liu Dachen left, the classroom remained silent for a long time.

Buzz!

Su Yue’s phone vibrated.

He instinctively opened it, inside was a piece of news from Renqing Province’s government.

The content of the news was frightening; in the three cities under Renqing Province’s jurisdiction, the Investigation and Arrest Bureau detected signs of Yangxiang Sect’s activity.

Moreover, several high school students suddenly went missing, discovered later only to be found dead.

This news was to warn high school students not to go wandering in the wilderness for no reason.

”Yangxiang Sect? It’s like saying Cao Cao and Cao Cao will come. This guy is a crow-mouth.”

Su Yue got up, ready to leave the classroom.

Other students also received messages, suddenly a clamor filled the room.

Involving life safety, the classmates were all in a panic.
