Martial Arts: I Have Diligence Reward System

Chapter 1: Chapter 1: One Bowl of Spicy Hotpot

June, scorching heat!

PM, just after lunch, the sun could melt asphalt.

Lunch breaks were canceled for the second-year students.

Class 3, midday self-study.

Everyone was reviewing, while in the back row, Su Yue leaned back on his chair, falling asleep.

Even though he had already dozed off, Su Yue’s hand still tightly grasped the pen, with half-finished notes on his book.

The notes were neat and meticulous.

This is a very diligent student.

Su Yue wasn’t slacking during class; he had stayed up all night delivering food and now couldn’t keep his eyes open, unconsciously falling asleep.

”Teacher Ding, the classroom has monitors. If Su Yue sleeps here, the political education office might dock your pay. Perhaps you should wake him up.”

The class monitor was a bit displeased with Su Yue sleeping during class.

Actually, Su Yue wasn’t snoring, nor was his sleep disturbing others. If he wanted to give up, it shouldn’t be anybody else’s concern.

But Cengyan Second Middle School had strict rules, and the evaluation of teachers was equally rigorous.

If seen by the political education office, Teacher Ding would be the one to suffer.

Other students also stopped their revising, turning to look at Su Yue in the back row.

Pity, helplessness, sympathy...

Each classmate had a complicated look in their eyes.

The fallen second-generation rich, this is the outcome, heart-wrenching.

”It’s okay, you all continue reviewing, let him rest a bit. He doesn’t sleep like this every day, and Su Yue’s liberal arts scores have no issues!”

Ding Beitu was the class teacher, though not that old, his hair was gray, dressed plainly, and he simply shook his head, speaking softly.

Ding Beitu wasn’t unconcerned about his salary.

Su Yue was somewhat unfortunate.

Others could sleep soundly at night.

But Su Yue had to work part-time delivering late-night meals to earn money and repay his student loans.

This bit of sleep time might be very important for him.

...

Upstairs, the third-year students were about to take the college entrance exam.

But the second-year classroom was even more tense and solemn.

The importance of the college entrance exam needs no explanation.

Yet, second-year students also had to compete for the precious spots in Cengyan City’s potential class.

The intensity was no less than the college entrance exam.

The potential class was essentially a one-year sprint class for the third year.

Only by entering the potential class first could one qualify for the martial arts college entrance exam.

In the cool mornings and nights, second-year students underwent intense physical training, so they used the noon time to review cultural knowledge!

In an era where martial arts prevailed, students turned nonstop day and night, like spinning tops, with hardly any free time.

Aside from physique, the potential class had very high requirements for cultural subjects as well.

Actually, with Su Yue’s Qi Blood level, he couldn’t possibly get into the potential class.

However, it didn’t matter, at worst, he would stay in Cengyan Second Middle School, give up martial arts, and take the general college entrance exam next year.

Ding Beitu thought he shouldn’t have much problem getting into a liberal arts college.

Originally, Su Yue was born quite well, even considered a part of a prestigious family.

This time last year, he was still the only son of the Admiral of Cengyan City.

But last year, the Admiral got into trouble, the dignified head of Cengyan City was suddenly arrested.

Thus, Su Yue suddenly fell into the status of a commoner.

The tuition of Cengyan First Middle School was exorbitant, and with Su Yue’s family upheaval, he almost dropped out because he couldn’t pay the tuition.

As a family member of a convict, Su Yue lost all subsidy qualifications.

The arrest of the Admiral was sensational, once the biggest news in Cengyan City.

Everyone thought Su Yue would drop out or transfer to a cheaper high school in the county.

Even though the county’s high school didn’t have martial arts education resources, his liberal arts grades were decent enough to get into a liberal arts college, so he shouldn’t worry about finding a job in the future.

But nobody expected it.

Su Yue took three days off, and when people thought he was going to drop out, he went straight to the school leadership office to request tuition in installments, willing to pay the interest.

This action left many speechless.

At that time, everyone thought Su Yue would collapse; as a former rich kid, such a drastic change was unbearable.

In the end, the school leadership held a special meeting and agreed to let Su Yue pay the tuition in installments and waived the interest.

Back when the Admiral was in power, he allocated plenty of funds to Cengyan Second Middle School.

But that was all; given Su Yue’s special status, the school could no longer offer support policies.

Like this, Su Yue followed the school for some physical training in the mornings and had to work all night delivering food.

Being 16 and daring to fight, if he were 36, he probably would have died from exhaustion already.

Ding Beitu had to let Su Yue rest, more important than salary.

Actually, as the class teacher, Ding Beitu understood Su Yue’s situation better.

His condition was worse than rumors said.

Su Yue didn’t have a mother, the Admiral was suddenly taken away, and his assets were frozen, leaving him to rely on his little uncle for survival.

Su Yue’s little uncle was only a little over 10 years older than Su Yue.

Bilateral leg amputation, disabled.

Moreover, this little uncle adopted an orphan, currently in elementary school.

In the past, Admiral Su Qingfeng, Su Yue, the little uncle, and the little cousin lived in the Admiral’s Mansion.

But after the Admiral was arrested, a high schooler, a disabled man, and an elementary student moved to a factory district in the suburbs, where rent was cheap.

The disabled uncle needed regular medication, Su Yue had to repay installment payments for tuition, and the elementary student needed to eat.

So, Ding Beitu truly felt sorry for this student.

Rip!

At this moment, class president Gong Ling pulled at the curtains.

The classroom had air conditioning, but the light outside was too harsh.

Gong Ling pulled it halfway, only enough to block the light aimed at Su Yue, and didn’t continue.

Gong Ling had fair skin and was very pretty; if one had to choose a school beauty, Gong Ling would certainly be the one at Cengyan Second Middle School.
