Martial Arts: I Have Diligence Reward System

Chapter 2: Chapter 1: One Bowl of Spicy Hotpot_2

”Gong Ling, you’re the class monitor, you should know that in the sophomore year, drawing the curtains is not allowed!”

”A little bit of sunshine won’t kill Su Yue!”

Wang Lu Feng glanced at Gong Ling, then at Su Yue, and whispered.

Anyone could see that Gong Ling was looking out for Su Yue.

Wang Lu Feng is the son of the Director of the Investigation and Arrest Bureau in Cengyan City, considered a ”second generation martial artist.”

Of course, compared to Su Yue’s former admiral father, the Investigation and Arrest Bureau is really nothing.

But now that Su Yue’s father was taken away for investigation, Wang Lu Feng is the most prominent ”second generation martial artist” in the class.

Wang Lu Feng likes Gong Ling.

”I’m afraid my skin will get tanned. If the Political and Education Department investigates, I’ll write the review. Wang Lu Feng, your cultural subjects are poor, instead of minding others’ business, you should hurry and study.”

Gong Ling gave Wang Lu Feng a cold look and said icily.

”My cultural subjects are poor, but my Qi Blood value is strong, and I’m set for the potential class.

”Gong Ling, tell me, do you have a crush on Su Yue?”

Wang Lu Feng asked with a flushed face.

”My boyfriend is in one of the Four Major Martial Arts Academies, not in high school.”

Gong Ling remained expressionless.

But she gave off the vibe that said: ’I’m not a frog in the well.’

”Just you wait, I will definitely get into the Four Majors.”

Wang Lu Feng clenched his fists.

”With your current grades, even if you repeat for eight years, maybe you could manage to get into an A-level Wuda!”

Gong Ling picked up her textbook, not bothering with Wang Lu Feng.

In the Divine Land, Wuda is divided into three levels:

The Four Major Martial Arts Academies, A-level Wuda, and B-level Wuda.

B-level has the most students, and A-level is in the middle.

And the Four Majors are a gathering ground for geniuses across the Divine Land, with over 20 million examinees competing for just a few thousand spots.

Then Gong Ling took another discreet glance at Su Yue.

Su Yue’s liberal arts grades were excellent, but unfortunately... his martial arts grades were too poor. This was also related to his family. During the critical sophomore year, when his admiral father got into trouble, it was almost devastating for him.

”Hmph, you just fancy that pretty face of his, you’re afraid he’ll get tanned.”

Wang Lu Feng glanced at Su Yue, muttering.

Su Yue, that kid, had delicate skin, besides being a bit handsome, his skin was even better than a woman’s.

Of course, Wang Lu Feng thought he was definitely more handsome than Su Yue.

”Alright, everyone, stay focused on your studies.”

Ding Beitu waved his hand and said.

Adolescents in their youthful prime, it’s normal to squabble as they explore first love.

...

Actually, Su Yue had already woken up earlier.

He just felt embarrassed to get up while everyone was talking about him, so as to avoid awkwardness.

The admiral father got caught and as a martial arts second generation, he fell to an ordinary citizen.

The family had a disabled uncle to take care of, and a freeloading younger cousin in elementary school.

Su Yue’s financial situation was indeed difficult.

But in this class, he felt quite content.

Class monitor Gong Ling was a good girl, cold on the outside but warm inside. Earlier, she was the only one who dared draw the curtains, besides being a bit proud.

Even Wang Lu Feng, the hothead, was decent enough.

Last month, when his installment was overdue by three days, it was Wang Lu Feng who quietly helped cover it.

This guy was too shy to help openly, so he secretly paid it under the pretense of sponsoring class funds.

Other classmates weren’t bad either. At least in class 2 of sophomore year, no one ever talked about the admiral being caught, as classmates, this was the greatest respect they could offer.

No one at Cengyan Second Middle School wanted to kick someone while they were down.

After all, they were all 15-year-old students, and deep down, everyone felt more sympathy.

”Dad, just you wait, I will definitely get into Martial Arts University. Once I’m capable, I will find out the truth.”

Once everyone settled down to study, Su Yue quietly sat up and continued taking notes.

Some students saw Su Yue wake up, but everyone acted as if nothing had happened.

Not asking is also a silent form of respect.

Gong Ling discreetly opened the curtains again; she was afraid of really being called to write a review.

Wang Lu Feng gritted his teeth as he flipped through his book, gritting because he particularly hated boring cultural classes.

Of course, he also hated how fair Su Yue’s skin was.

”Cultural classes, they aren’t much of a challenge for me.”

”As for the Qi Blood vitality value... it’s not bad, there shouldn’t be any big issue.”

Su Yue quietly touched his lower abdomen.

Three silver needles restricted his Qi Blood fluctuations.

This was also the reason why his martial arts test scores weren’t high for the time being.

Su Yue kept it hidden from everyone.

...

The junior potential class is set up in almost every city.

In a third-tier city like Cengyan, there are roughly over a dozen regular high schools, but only one potential class.

More than 30,000 sophomore students compete for just over 50 spots in the potential class... an elimination ratio of 600:1.

Cengyan City is just a small and insignificant city; in some core major cities, there are as many as 300,000 sophomore students, with even more staggering elimination ratios.

No matter which city’s education bureau, they all irrationally favor the potential class with resources.

Besides some necessary funding, 70% of the educational resources from the bureau are invested in the potential class.

No other reason.

Only the top talents from the potential class are qualified to apply to Martial Arts University.

A school’s rating, teachers’ salaries, the principal’s reputation, and even funding from various education bureaus are all directly linked to martial arts exam results.

The seed students of the senior year had already gone to the potential class a year ago, training in isolation for a year.

Those elites aim for Martial Arts Universities nationwide.

But the senior students remaining in regular high schools aren’t eligible to take the Wuda entrance exam.

Hence, it creates the illusion that senior students are even more relaxed than sophomores.

As for what kind of hellish scene is inside the potential class, the outside world is unaware.

In a little over ten days, as the semester draws to a close, sophomore students will compete for spots in the potential class.
