Martial Arts: I Have Diligence Reward System

Chapter 30: Chapter 24: Traditional Virtues

Guests have left, and the night is deep.

Although the bad guys weren’t punished, with the trading contract in front of him, Su Jianjun forgot all his worries and happily mopped the floor three more times.

Su Yue also sighed, having a neat freak at home, the floor is actually cleaner than my own face.

In the bedroom, Su Yue took out the recommendation letter given by his dad.

”Western Imperial Capital, Xiyanghong Nursing Home.

”I haven’t even received any benefits yet, and I already have a task of taking care of lonely elderly people.

”Dad, I really am your biological son. Who should I ask to reimburse the elderly care expenses, this mess.”

Su Yue tore open the envelope.

He had to remember where the address was, lest he forgot it later.

Even though his dad is unreliable, respecting the elderly and loving the young is a traditional virtue, and it’s not a bad thing.

Everyone will have a day when they grow old, a day when they can’t walk, even if it’s just a short companionship, it’s still a good deed.

Speaking of which, does dad feel guilty towards me?

All the family assets were confiscated; he seemingly has nothing left for himself.

It’s better to be understanding in the future, and don’t provoke him when there’s nothing else.

”Darn, it’s on fire.”

Su Yue just saw No. 16 Sunset Road, and the letter actually self-combusted.

Su Yue swears he absolutely didn’t burn the letter to escape responsibility.

Self-combusted.

It was indeed a spontaneous combustion, belonging to a supernatural occurrence.

Watching a piece of paper turn to ashes, Su Yue looked bewildered.

Is this the will of the heavens?

The heavens want me to defy dad’s arrangement and apply to North Martial.

Or East Martial, South Martial would do too.

A person is not a youth if they aren’t rebellious.

But the next second, Su Yue was disappointed.

He watched as the address ’16 Sunset Road’ was engraved on his left wrist.

Like a red tattoo, then it faded away and disappeared.

”There’s a ghost, a supernatural event actually occurred.”

Su Yue almost screamed out of fright.

A few minutes later, Su Yue confirmed that he was cursed.

The haunting address wouldn’t go away; whenever he thought about it, it would appear on his wrist.

If he didn’t pay attention, the address would disappear again.

What kind of wicked curse is this.

”Dad, it’s just about taking care of a few lonely elderly people, is it necessary to curse me?

”I will definitely apply to West Martial, from today on, I only have West Martial in my eyes, is that okay?

”Is he really my dad? Even cursing his son.”

Su Yue was on the brink of tears.

His right hand was still paralyzed, Su Yue’s luck wasn’t getting any better.

His own dad shouldn’t be trying to harm him, never mind, take it one step at a time.

Time to train.

Once you start, you can’t stop.

Su Yue directly took out silver needles, gritting his teeth as he inserted the seventh one.

Squeak.

The 140-pound weight on his back made Su Yue’s rickety bed groan immediately.

He himself weighed about 140 pounds, and with an additional 140-pound load, nearing 300 pounds, the bed frame didn’t collapse, which was quite generous.

”Gotta go to the furniture city sometime, buy a luxurious big bed, with a plastic mattress, the kind that doesn’t make noise when it shakes.

”Now I have money, time for a splurge at the Impressive Home. Wait, I don’t even need to sleep, why buy a bed?

”No, I must buy one, in case a female classmate comes to visit, I need to have a bed.”

”How about a waterbed!”

Su Yue put on his clothes and started running wildly on the street.

days later, the final exams.

Not far from reaching 16 cards of Qi Blood.

...

This time, there’s no need to deliver food, Su Yue directly chose to climb a high mountain in the suburbs.

With a 140-pound weight on his back, climbing a mountain indeed would exhaust someone to collapse.

At dawn, Su Yue barely reached the mountain top.

Dripping with sweat, his whole body was weak and limp, he stuck out his tongue trying to cool down like a dog, but except for looking miserable, it had no effect.

Su Yue discovered a problem, when his right hand was disabled, his arms couldn’t swing naturally, causing his body to find it hard to maintain balance, which increased Su Yue’s difficulty in climbing the mountain.

...

Available Effort Points: 21 points.

Effort Points Counter:

1. Sleep Waiver

2. Price of Love

Qi Blood Value: 15 cards

...

After a night of hard work, Su Yue actually accumulated more than 40 effort points, but unfortunately most were exchanged for sleep waivers, leaving just 21 points in the end.

This was already not a bad result, previously when delivering food, effort points and sleep waivers were barely balanced.

”One night’s time, cost me a Military Qi Blood Pill!”

Su Yue went down the mountain back to school.

The thought of Qi Blood Pill made his heart ache.

But speaking of which, Martial Artist is truly a money-burning profession.

After becoming a real Martial Artist, the government should provide substantial subsidies, otherwise, even a gold mountain would be exhausted.

At the school gate, there’s a public bathhouse, 5 yuan for a shower, limited to 5 minutes.

High school sophomores have morning drills, and all classmates are drenched in sweat, must take a shower.

Su Yue came for a shower when the morning drill was already over.

The final exams are approaching, some classmates have already taken leave, even giving up cultural classes, going all out for the last sprint.

Don’t mention morning drills, Su Yue could even take a long leave and no one would ask, as long as you come back for the exam.

Back in the classroom, Su Yue found the atmosphere somewhat heavy.

Wang Lu Feng had a big school bag on his desk, his head lowered, silent, looking as if he had committed a grave crime.

Class monitor Gong Ling and two other classmates were glaring at Wang Lu Feng.

”Wang Lu Feng, what’s wrong? Did you peep at the class monitor in the shower?”

Su Yue walked over and asked.

”Wang Lu Feng, this final, it’s the time Teacher Ding needs you most, are you really going to transfer?”

Before Wang Lu Feng could speak, Gong Ling asked coldly.

”Transfer?

”With the finals approaching, why are you transferring schools? Are you crazy?”

Hearing this, Su Yue was also stunned.

Wang Lu Feng has 10 cards of Qi Blood, with a bit of effort, he might charge up to 11 cards.

The high school sophomore’s final grades are related to Teacher Ding’s performance pay.

Transferring at this time, isn’t it like asking for Teacher Ding’s life.

”I’m sorry.”

Wang Lu Feng kept his head low, speaking weakly, like a whisper.

”Hmph, I misjudged you.”

Gong Ling sneered, full of disappointment.

”Su Yue, let’s talk after class.”

Wang Lu Feng looked up at Su Yue.

”Uh, okay!”

The moment he looked up, Su Yue noticed his eyes were red.

Finally, class was over, and Su Yue followed Wang Lu Feng to the small playground.

”Is it because Uncle Wang is going to Hongyuan City to take the position of Deputy Governor?”

During class, Su Yue finally realized.

Wang Nanguo is going to Hongyuan City to be Deputy Governor, meaning Wang Lu Feng’s student status, both officially and personally, would have to be transferred to Hongyuan City.

A student with 11 cards is not without use.

When the provincial education bureau allocates funds, they have to assess the condition of students in each city. Having one more 11-card candidate means more resources allocated.

This is quite normal.

”My dad didn’t even ask my opinion, directly processed the student transfer.”

Wang Lu Feng’s words were filled with helplessness.

”It’s okay, I understand.”

Su Yue patted his shoulder, this is standard parental procedure, your opinion is just a fart.

”This time it’s different, the Governor intends to reform the Education Bureau, and homeroom teachers in various schools are the first targets.

”Here is a file of the latest assessment system from the Education Bureau, classmates already know, you should take a look too.

”Teacher Ding is such a good person, leaving now is really hitting him when he’s down.”

Wang Lu Feng transferred a document to Su Yue’s phone.

Then, he lowered his head again, falling into self-blame.
